So, the idea of the lume much of the time is to be able to read the time in low light conditions. Invicta recommends to charge the lume in bright light conditions for a full day before expecting any results from it. After you do that, you will be able to tell the time in minimal light conditions all night long, but not because the lume glows all night long with a single charge, but because it constantly gathers that minimal light and throws it back to you in a controlled manner, as long as there is minimal light in the ambient.

I had never owned and I decided to finally give one a try. I got a blue dial blue bezel 40mm Pro Diver a couple months ago and I kept finding sales on other colors I liked so now I have 4 40mm pro divers a 1953 coke bezel and a 42mm Pro Diver 😂. I am impressed with them all for value for money and they will get a lot of wear.

I just bought me a 1953. My only gripe with Invicta is they are usually real gaudy with their branding. The 53 is very subdued.

I looked at Invicta a long time ago and what put me off was their "MSRP" being so high compared to their actual price. It felt like some sort of intentional bait-and-switch. Maybe they're worth a second look. Thanks for the perspective.

In the Mid-90's, I was trying to decide between a ROLEX Blue/Gold Two Tone Diver, a ROLEX Submariner, or a Rolex Daytona Chronograph Automatic. I saw a guy selling INVICTA's at a gun show table and thought they were nice for the $85 asking price. Great look, nice heft and weight, and I liked the SS Locking bands of the Grand Divers. I bought one to get ready for the weight of the ROLEX, only to discover that while walking at work, I would CONSTANTLY cut corners short as I rounded them, and would bang the ever living CRAP out of the watch EVERY time ! This would NOT do if I was wearing a ROLEX, but I'll be damned if the INVICTA didn't just keep on going ! So, a change of plans...
I bought several INVICTA's over the next few years, before I went to Kuwait to contract for the Army in 2008. When I started the contract job with lots more money, I ended up buying just over 40 INVICTA's including 8 or 10 different styles of the 47mm GRAND DIVERS, my personal favorites ! Also several models of the 52mm OFF-SHORE and RUSSIAN Divers, they're awesome ! Also a couple of Invicta 4160 Russian Diver Blue Dial Two-Tone Chrono Men’s Watch...love that Blue/Gold 2-Tone !
Of course, my Crown Jewel of them all is my 52mm RUSSIAN DIVER (Model 3467) made out of SOLID GRAY TITANIUM !!! Unfortunately it's STILL NEW IN PLASTIC WRAP since I couldn't bring myself to wear it, it just looked so good, but it's SUPER Light Weight being TITANIUM. I'm about to be forced to sell it, after being unemployed for the past 11 years now. You know anyone worthy of such a NICE Russian Diver ???

I paused, I went, it was gone. Looking for that SLICK black one. Not a watch guy but I’m rethinking my approach to time. I’ve always thought, why would I get a watch or light when my phone does both. I always thought gun, knife, utility tool and phone for edc but some of these watches just look cool. Can’t dive with a phone either. You have me convincing myself!🤣😂🤣

I've had an Invicta 3045 Grand Diver myself for over 6 years. It's heavy as fu**k, which it' kinda scary to drag around hanging from my arm, BUT THE MOVEMENT THO!!! Lately I've changed the band to a lighter jubilee and the weight's been reduced to about a 1/2 ton, which allows me to have it as my daily watch. Nutn, PLEASE do a watch mod video, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's craving for one.

I got the 1953 Invicta in black and I relaced the flat mineral crystal with a sapphire crystal and have wore it for a year straight beating it like it owed me money.
It’s been amazing once a month it’s prob 3 minutes fast so I usually clean it a lil bit and reset it to my atomic clock every month or whenever I have got paint or cement on it during the day. I’ve used this as a work watch and was initially thinking I’d replace the band soon but the stainless band has held up really good. It looks nice now it’s all scuffed up along with the bezel makes it look nice like it’s actually a old watch.
I’ve been thinking of replacing the bezel inlay with a ceramic one eventually doing that and the band with a good solid stainless and this thing would be a $600 watch that cost me $120.00 haha
Invicta watches are a amazing value … or they as nice as a real Rolex submariner… hell no I have one and it feels like it’s half the weight and quality but at a certain point if your just wearing a watch to work it gets you the complete experience besides the envy … and I’m ok with that wearing a Rolex is the type of thing that if your not hanging out with people who wouldn’t notice or don’t care then it’s not fun. You don’t want to be on a job with a new hire who doesn’t even have a ride who has three kids whore wife with a drug problem and can’t afford to eat lunch everyday and asks if that’s a Rolex your wearing haha makes you feel like your being a show off where this watch you can say hey man it was $100 on Amazon I ordered a sapphire crystal on eBay and pressed it into it and oiled the movement and replaced the o-rings and to me it’s about the same thing. Then they be like shit I want one of those where you wearing a $9800 Rolex and those guys instantly are never going to be honest with you about anything . And if your working men trying to get the best out of them that’s not how you want to come across, like everything things
In life everything has its place. And Invicta make great work watches .

hats off to you sir for identifying a problem in your life and actually seeking help, and being brave enough to share that with others. I've known several people who have participated in AA which helped tremendously. Participation regularly seems to be key, as well as modeling your life around your sobriety.

I have several better watches than my Invicta Pro Diver but I have been wearing mine quite a bit lately... it is becoming something of an everyday wear for me... full disclosure I did upgrade the bracelet to a quality milled bracelet... but the orriginal was not terrable.
I used to hate on Invicta a little because of the big gaudy ones but if I am honest, they are really impressing me lately. I would prefer better lume, but they are honestly good watches...

Pro Diver/Grand Diver lines are good value for money, especially since you can get a pro diver with the NH-35 auto on Amazon for like $65. However, I live in South Florida about 3 miles away from their "Global Headquarters" so they're prevalent down here - and I can say with great confidence that Invicta is an absolute Hackjob of a company. Poor customer service, often gaudy tasteless designs. "Flame fusion" crystal? Wtf is that? Sounds like jargon for "mineral crystal, except ours". They mark their product up into the thousands only to sell them for 10% of MSRP on "limited time deals" to portray to the customer a sense of urgency to get their hands on this once on a lifting deal before its gone", No thanks. Guys and gals, if you want a 63mm dual-quartz watch, you may be stuck with Invicta. If not, either save your money for a reputable brand or buy Orient/Seiko.....rant over.
