How to repair your Baxi E119 fault , Main and Potterton

- How to Fill up your baxi combi boiler. Baxi , Main , Potterton ,DIY guide My name's Allen Hart and today we're at a brand new Baxi Platinum Combi Boiler installation that we're installing and I'm just going to show you how to top the pressure up should you get the E119 fault. As we can see here the fault code on the front of the boiler is flashing E119 and E119 on Baxi means low water pressure, so you'd just have a look at your gauge there and you would see that it's below into the red, which means that the pressure needs to be topped up. What we'll do here, we'll show you how to do this.
What we need to do, we need to have a look underneath the boiler. Underneath the boiler here there's some valves. Them valves at the back we don't touch them, we touch these two front ones. These two blue ones at the front, so this is the Baxi Platinum. Also the same on the Baxi Duo-Tec as well.
Just to start with I'm going to turn both these valves off, so these are now both in the off position and then what we need to do is, we will slowly, well first of all we'll turn this one on and then we will slowly turn the other valve on here. Then when we look on the pressure gauge on the front of the boiler we will see the pressure gauge starts to go up. What we want to do really, we want to top this up so it's just above sort of like the one area. Then we need to just slowly top it up a bit more just to get it above one. I normally do it up to top of that green really in between like just over one, one and a half and then turn it back off on the bottom on them blue valves.
We can see then now the fault code is no longer there and now the boiler will work, so when you turn the boiler back on it will work. We've actually topped it up to about two here, so it's gone a little bit higher and that's because we're still testing this system but this is just a demonstration video for you, just to help you. Today i was got in trouble with this E119 pressure early morning , i was like to use hot water because i have 7 years old child and i am 7 months pregnant . I dont know what to do i was very upset. I was telling my husband you have to call the agent sent there workers as soon as possible and agent open at 9:30 till that type i have to wait for hot water and it will be to late them to come and fix the problem , they will come late afternoon or evening. So i got an idea see the youtube of E119 pressure , and when i seen ur video, it was a great help and it fix my problem without calling agent and not to wait for there workers to come and fix it, you saved our life. I just wanted to say THANK YOU for this very simple video confirming the color of the valve we have to turn in order to top it up! Woke up in the morning and realised we have no hot water in the property. Went to the boiler to see E119 code. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for your helpful video Allen...I got the E119 error at 9:30 pm this evening just as I was heading for a nice long shower and panicked! All this while I'd top up the pressure using just the right blue lever but this time that didn't work. Still don't know what the left blue lever is for but it did the trick! Once again a big, massive THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge and saving many of us precious time and money.

Thanks Allen, I had removed a radiator to do some decorating. Fitted it back, opened the valves. Then came to clean up, no hot water out the tap from the kitchen sink. I thought I was going to have to call a plumber on a Sunday!! Thanks again!

Mr Hart, you probably saved me from spending this Christmas in a cold flat. I'm on my own, don't know much about combis and suddenly got E119 error. Although, according to barometer, it wasn't too low, it was on 1-1.5. And now barometer is at 2.5, I need to release some pressure...

Thank google for you. Although I knew/guessed what the error message was I couldn't easily locate the re-pressure lever which was quite stiff and black instead of nice shiny blue as in your video. Sore hands and fingers later (mobility probs) priming the reluctant lever it to re-pressure and fault now fixed.
Please don't delete this video as even 3 years on from you posting it's helped a pleb like me :)

Recently, though it doesn't fix it, I still have the e119 error code when when I've refilled the pressure valve as instructed. Maybe it needs servicing.
