Thank you so so much for this video!! I was on my own and had no hot water and heating, and have never had to deal with a boiler issue before, so your video was incredible helpful 🙏🏻
Awesome man! I have the same boiler, but when I do this, by the next morning the pressure has dropped again and the boiler has stopped working. What could the issue be? Cheers
If you've done this more than a couple of times and the pressure is still dropping, it sounds like you've got a leak somewhere in your central heating system.
@@bigtedshome yes, I was thinking the same thing. Any tips on how to identify it? I've checked all radiators, pipes etc, and no sign of any leaks. Cheers
@rbemuscle6058 You've done the obvious then. Have you bled the radiators? This will cause the pressure to drop even further and you will need to top up again but with the recent cold weather, any air in the radiators would contract more than the water. It's worth a try.
You need to check the pressure in your expansion tank inside the boiler. You'll need to isolate the inlet and outlet line and open the bleed off valve. Then disconnect the auto spark control board, and finally put an air pressure gauge on the red expansion tank shrader valve. It should be around 1 bar. If not, put air into it.
So are you saying that the taps get turned in different directions to open and close? It looks as though you are turning one away from you and one towards you. Is this right?
Both valves turn anti clockwise to open and clockwise to close. So yes, because they are opposite each other, you will be turning one towards you and one away.
Yes, it will. The valves are slightly different but it is the same procedure. This video shows how to top up the pressure on a main boiler ruclips.net/video/n8nKNFTEg-w/видео.htmlsi=Nu7d_khNMNhKzpzA
If you have opened both valves, you should hear the water flowing. If you can't, there may be another tap/valve earlier in the system that needs opening.
Sorry but I'm not familiar with the setup you describe. I can only suggest that you check the manual for your particular boiler or contact the manufacturer. If you don't have your manual, Baxi manuals can be found here: www.baxi.co.uk/trade/technical-support/product-literature
There will be some similar valves which you can use to top it up. This video shows other types and how to use them ruclips.net/video/TOwRfQlQg9s/видео.htmlsi=nVZeh4f6gNvLe03q

What can you do if your needle is in the 3 and you need to lower the pressure?
Have you tried bleeding the radiators to bring down the pressure?

Looks like the LH valve is being turned Clockwise to open?@@bigtedshome
Thank u!

Will this work for a mains eco lite boiler too? Thank you

@@h38qaz No problem. I hope you get the heating back on quickly 🙂
I hope so too! I have a 12 week new born who’s getting a bit chilly! 😮

What does it mean when you do this and the needle doesn’t move?

thank you! now i can have a hot shower!
Enjoy 😁
My boiler doesn’t have those filling loops what do I do?
There will be some form of tap that you can use to top up the system. Have a look in your manual if you still have it.

You're welcome 🙂
Uff, working 💪 .

hey mate i have low pressure turning tap o dont get any water flow coming through you have any idea please
Have you opened both taps?
@@bigtedshome just done it mate thank you big help its working now
@@otispinnock7455 That's great 👍
nothing happens when i turn those knobs, my pressure is on zero
That doesn't sound good. You might need to get someone in to look at it.
Nothing happens when i turn the novs, i have two black nobs and one blue nob?

What if my boiler doesnt have then type of valves

when i turn the nobs its increasing super slow and i cant hear any water :/
Try opening one valve fully and then open the other slowly until the water starts to flow and the pressure increases.
