Gerald is the perfect example of Talent without a work ethic. That being said he can still ball and I'm happy for him. Imagine being able to make a quick million and get tons of perks for 5 months of work. Oh and you get a shot at the finals cuz ur on the 2nd best team in your conference.

I mean I wouldn't say he was more lethal than steph curry. He did miss like 7 of them and took a wild shot that basically made it impossible to come back at the end of the game. Lethal was Klay Thompson, that guy barely missed anything in the 4th quarter

Didn't the mavericks add thought to be washed up peja just weeks before the playoffs and he hit like 6 3's vs the lakers in a playoff game vs the defending champs and helped Dallas win it all and was the 4th main bench player..and 8th in minutes pre finals and was solid vs okc and la right before miami where he got benched but that was due to matchups more so aka mahinmi and brewer were just better athletic defensive choices .....same for 2013 champion heat...Chris anderson was thought to be done and added in February ..it was his last shot.....going to miami gave them that jolt to go basically 46-3 but 1 of those losses wade and James didn't play so 46-2 since they got him...before the east finals ...and he won them game 1 vs Indiana with a perfect game shooting wise and shot like 83% for the series.....key addition....2014 spurs adding Marco bellineli was another...2015 warriors adding barbosa...2016 cavs adding Richard Jefferson ....sometimes adding a thought to be bum can lead to a title and help a team when you least expect it.
      Javale McGhee last year ...

Buckets Hoops There is a reason for that. Boston only had one scorer...IT, if dude was consistent he would have got minutes. Same thing happened in Miami. He looks great now, but he will soon have one of those 1-13, get beat on defense every time Gerald Green games. It is who he is. 30 points one night...1 point and 0-12 the next two nights

    • @KalelaChannel

After the Celtics were dominated in the first 2 games of the series, Brad Stevens inserted Gerald Green into the line up and the Celtics haven't lost a game for the series and backdoor swept the Bulls. Many attribute the win to Rondo going down but Celtics fans believe it had more to do with Brad adjusting and changing his line up.

The point is that he was always such raw talent. He never got a chance for someone to teach him the basics of fitting into a system like a good college coach would have. So his basketball IQ didn't really increase since he got out of high school.

Typical framing of a scenario to make the minority (actually MAJORITY) seem inferior. Gerald Green, peace be upon him, is talented PERIOD. The only problem here that isn't highlighted is the fact that he's just NOW receiving an OPPORTUNITY to play for an NBA roster. We should be asking why he was available to begin with!

  • @theGQX7

1 night? 1 FRICKEN NIGHT??? Green came straight in without NO team practice and NO warm ups in his first game this season then the next fex games he started scoring more and now on a 25+ points back to back and thats coming from a bench player so she needs to chill and credit Gerald Green for what he has done so far...

One of the guys I route for - and can’t understand why a team won’t give him a long term deal. If someone took a shot (3 years or so), let him plant some roots, settle in to a system, I know Gerald would be beastly. There’re plenty of dudes with long-term-deals that I would’ve rather seen go to GGreen: Nic.Battum, Chandler Parsons to name a couple. Give this dude a chance!

Gerald Green, along with DeRozan, Beasley & young gun Devin Booker, (and a few guys I'm forgetting) are the only Kobe-type players in the NBA today. 😔

He and Whiteside, and Waiters were a great group of unique personalities. To bad he didn’t stick after a fun year in Miami, they just needed to add the Morris twins and Marcus Smart to really take it there. And his ally-oop windmill with the nets is a all-Time textbook classic dunk!

I think she was being a lil tuff on her story of green..i just feel like he's never gotten enough minutes on his team's eventhough he would always prove himself..i don't think he wasnt developing well after coming out of high school, if he would've found the right team I think green would've been a 20 ppg scorer..like he almost did in Phoenix but they limited his minuites lol

Gerald Green and Michael Beasley are balling in 2017-2018.
    Never thought I'd say that.

I'm a Celtic's fan and I've always rated him. I even stated that he would have a big part to play in last season's playoffs when everyone was writing him off. Should of never got rid of him.

Watch how cp3 bring the best out of GG! Out of all the teams he played on he never played with a true point guard like CP! He's more of a slasher type of scorer so CP going to find in his spots! And for Christ sake he's a leaper he should be thrown a lot of oops and what better pg going to do that better than cp

He must be doing something outside of Basketball for none of those franchises to keep him. There are plenty of really good offense players in the NBA that do not play defense now of days. You cant drop that many points with ease and teams get rid of you. Like MIchael Beasley who is a great player but could not get his act together early on in his career

Looking at just his highlights from an average fan's point of view he looks like a top 10 superstar. Especially those heat and suns highlights.

Gerald Green was supposed to be the next Tracy Mcgrady. I think he suffered under those comparisons.

the twolves have 4 inactive players on their roster. why not cut someone on that list and give shooters like gerald green a shot? i'm no general manager, but i would do anything to add floor spacers on a team which is one of the bottom teams in the league in terms of three point shooting.
