Hekate does not go on this chip it goes on the sd card of the switch
@@fixingmoddingbuilding then why is the "Hekate NO SD card" screen popping up after the chip is installed and the switch is turned on in in guides I see
@@enxi_vity because this shows the chip is installed correct and working, they don't have an sd card connected with hekate on.
@@fixingmoddingbuilding so just for confirmation, I don't need to put any files into the chip before I solder it? The Hekate screen will appear right?
@@enxi_vity it needs other software to launch, some sellers include this others you need to add it yourself
Lol so this is why i see a lot of switch repair videos of people messing this up 😂
Is the install process the same on a v2 model just using the different cpu cable?
Yes, just as easy!

Is the v2 component suldor the same way as the v1 or is it different. I have a v2 switch im trying to hack but i read you need to install a chip to intall custom firmware on the v2 is that true?
Very similar, chips at a slightly different angle
so if i install this will it let me install atmoshpere and stuff @@fixingmoddingbuilding
@@BrainRot346 yes
where can i get the modchip from?
Aliexpress
Can we do the same for the lite
No, there's more to solder on the lite
Is there a reason to install a modchip on the v1 with there being loaders available or does this just help cut out all the hassle
Cut out the hassle of the jig and loading payload.
Not every V1 can be modded without a modchip. If you have the unpatched V1 it would only be for convenience, but for a patched V1 it's the only way to use CFW
What switches are compatible with the RP2040?
There's different variants for every model
What model of switch and what chip is that.. If you don’t mind me asking

Hello someone was link for this easy chip for oled please? Thanks for help
Search rp2040 on aliexpress
great video, one question, when you copy the firmware onto the chip, do you disconnect the cable with safe removal or not?
also what could happen if you solder the chip onto the console without inserting the firmware inside?
You probably should do safe removal but I never do with anything!
If there's no firmware it either doesn't boot or just boots normal, you can just disconnect and plug into PC and install the software on it.
@@fixingmoddingbuilding thanks for the reply, I'm asking you this because I soldered the chip and the LEDs weren't flashing
I dismantled the chip and now my switch won't start anymore. what could it depend on?
