@@boroughmanager7067Luxury products like these are 95%+ markup. Getting rid of fancy packaging would maybe take the cost of manufacturing down by a buck or two. Nice packaging is the bare minimum for any fragrance above like $30, Xerjoff just happens to be one of the few that actually includes it.

Marcelo....another masterstroke of a review. Xerjoff is one of the houses which defines niche and elegance for me. You made compelling cases for each fragrance and why we need to add them to our collections, bank balances notwithstanding! Out of all the ones you mentioned, Tony Iommi may be my next Xerjoff pick. Oh yes, thank you for the background on the name of the house. I always wondered what that was about since there isn't one person who goes by Xerjoff. As you know, Naxos works very well for me! Thank you again for all you do here and staying the course. You've never waffled on your dedication to niche just for the sake of "views and likes". Your audience/followers will agree, which is why we're here.

Amazing video as usual! Watched a few of your videos and you have one of the most sophisticated, interesting and detailed explanations out there. The only perfume channel I just subscribed to.
I've been using some designer fragrances, but never had "love" for them (except for some of Guerlain and Tom Ford's perfumes). That was until I discovered Parfums de Marly. And they started my niche perfume collecting journey. I gifted a few of Casamorati's masterpieces to my girlfriend. Then we got Erba Pura. And now ordering Naxos, La Capitale and getting lots of samples to experience the house of Xerjoff!
Looking forward for more videos! You've got a great target audience. Let's go niche fragrance collectors!

You are the only fragrance channel I follow anymore. I'm going to Italy for the third time next month and I made it a point to have the Xerjoff store in Milan and Profumum Roma in Rome on my things to do. There hasn't been a single opinion or judgement on a fragrance I've disagreed with with the ones I'm familiar with. I hear you and appreciate so much the video reviews. They don't seem like they are falsifying to obtain favor from the house. So many houses give reviewers fragrances for free in exchange for biased reviews. I don't get that at all here and I appreciate it so so much! I know this video is a year old, but I hope you see this. My life has been so much more enriched. I do have to say though that I'm a fiend for Iommi Monkey Special. I like that one so much I actually put together a suit and accessories for a party to go WITH THAT fragrance before I actually owned it.
When I was VERY young, late 1960s, my parents spent a lot of time around a lot of patchouli smelling places and people. Hippies, bikers, musicians and lawyers mostly. But the smells of that fragrance just resonate with me on a really deep level. Grew up loving Black Sabbath as well so it didn't hurt when I heard about this.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I'm going through them slowly, but I am absolutely in love with Torino21! I kept smelling it off my skin feeling like I was getting high off of it 🤣...Not only is the citrus beautiful, but the herbs on the drydown just take it to another level. I definitely see the hype with this one. It's incredibly unique as well. The most upvoted in the "Reminds me of" section of Fragrantica is Etat Libre D'Orange You Or Someone Like You, which is a mint/green bomb that smells nothing like Torin21 save for the mint note.
Tony Iommi was really nice, but not something I'm sure is for me. I think it's the rum, particularly on the opening that's challenging. Initio Side Effect doesn't quite do it for me either. Definitely agree with you that it's not a particularly leathery fragrance, but I do get it a bit on the drydown. I like the drydown a lot more than the opening, but overall it's just not one I'm crazy about.

Marcelo! I've been binging your videos for the past few days - you are so entertaining, full of charisma and your filming and editing are so well executed + and have an exquisite taste in my opinion. Happy to join the NFC club.
I recently got into niche & my first Xerjoff was Iommi, followed by Torino21, just pulled the trigger on Golden Green (also part of the coffee break collection, I'm curious whether you tried that one - it's absolutely gorgeous)... I'm thinking about starlight next - it's so delicious and it also layers beautifully over Golden Green, taking the cardamom in both to the heavens. I know I need to get myself a sample of T22 & I might get Naxos soon as well...oh boy... the rabbit hole goes deep

Hi Marcelo, I hope the France tour is going well. I've just picked up Golden Dallah and Uden Overdose. So that just leaves Starlight to complete this list. I already had a sample of Uden Overdose and Starlight but opted against Starlight as I didn't get great performance - I do love it though and hope to purchase it at a later date. I took a chance with Golden Dallah and it paid off. I get the coffee immediately although it is more moderate in projection (I was expecting it to be a bit stronger). Uden Overdose is a beast!

I bought a bottle of Naxos earlier this year before summer during a Xerjoff sale and they threw in a free four sample kit and free 15 ml bottle of Torino 21. When I smelled Torino21 it blew my socks off. One of the more unique offerings from Xerjoff. It has a spearmint and lemon scent that has a nice cooling effect making it great for high heat and summer. Few months later I purchased a full 50ml bottle when I noticed several RUclips reviewers had finally discovered it and I was afraid it would sell out or the price would increase. BTW I've heard the newer Torino22 is not good.

Great video as always. Starlight, Uden Overdose, Golden Dalah and Tony Iommi were all instant loves for me. Nio is a bit too bitter on my skin and Torino 21 a bit too spearmint gummy. I get a strange cannabis note in the opening of Golden Dalah so I can see how it can be polarising, but it seems to transport me to an exotic land, kind of like Frederic Malle The Moon, which is also polarising. Have you tried the XJ Oud Attars? I only learned of Xerjoff because I'm as huge fan of Black Sabbath, Tony Iommi actually being my favourite member of the band. When I found out he had a signature scent, I just had to discover it, & that opened the gates for me & my poor wallet...

I know you love fragrances just as much as me if not a whole lot more, so believe me when I say don't ever sell your fragrances because of a temporary guilt trip if you ever feel like you own too many. I'm sure you are well aware of the whole fragcomm topic that was around a year or so ago about "Do I own too many fragrances??" Before that whole topic arose, I had just really begun my fragrance collection. I was buying things left and right, spending a lot of money, but I was really happy with everything I had. I had some rare, discontinued, new in wrapper fragrances that were very hard to find. I was proud of it, you know. Well, that whole topic got me second guessing my collection and what did I do? I sold a lot of them. Sure, I made some money and it was nice getting an influx of cash, but that cash only lasted so long before it vanished and now I'm left with a very depleted collection. Anyway, I learned that having a full collection really brought me joy and knowing I could wear anything I wanted at any given time was a huge bonus.
On the bright side, like you mentioned, I discovered what sort of fragrances I really love and I can focus my time and resources procuring the fragrances that truly appeal to me. Royal Tobacco should be showing up in the mail tomorrow and seeing how you related it to Tony Iommi really has me excited to try it out! Currently I only have a sample of Iommi so I've been having to be weary of reaching for it too often haha. That really is an awesome fragrance.
Thanks for the video as always! I appreciate all the backstories and the lore behind fragrances. It totally gives a fragrance more life and an overall better experience when you wear something.

Great review as always! UDEN OVERDOSE is simply unique, amazing. A special perfume, awesome. TONY IOMMI is fantastic, almost addictive, BUT way too sweet for a man, according to my opinion. Leans feminine, unless you want to smell like a basket of sweet fruits with an almost sparkling sense. NIO smells pretty nice, very effervescent opening, becomes soapy fresh towards mid due to the Neroli. Towards the drydown it becomes somehow more aromatic. Performance could be better.

      Blind buy!
It does have a family resemblance with torino21. Both are sweet and musky and sporty but with inspiration and quality. With torino22 I think a lot of the sweetness may come from clary sage but it seems like they boosted it with some artificial sweetness. I was at first not sure if it was for me because of that.
Torino22 has a "masculine" list of notes but with everything dialed to a mostly unisex direction.
Torino22 is amazing. The reception to anyone smelling you will always be that you smell amazing. Torino22 is literally even more versatile than Torino21, surprisingly. Torino21 is so cooling and refreshing that it is not good for winter. Torino22 is blind buy worthy if you like the sound of it and like torino21.

I am always here for Xerjoff. I personally wouldn't tell somebody to start with Nio, I wouldn't really even recommend buying it - Renaissance, Decas, and Uden are better presentations of fresh/citrusy Xerjoff fragrances. Torino21, to me, is a boring white floral with a sweet tone, but it's extremely rated by the community. I almost never like white florals because I like something more challenging. Torino22, to me, would be what I wanted from Torino21, but the drydown was amber-woody, so I don't really want that one either. Opens of T21 and T22 are very similar - they just replaced mint with eucalyptus oil, and that makes for a similar open with added sweetness in T22.
I like Starlight - it's interesting and unique. It's "just" a spicy cardamom, a bit like how Nishane's Ani is a spicy vanilla. I wouldn't keep sniffing it on skin because it may generate a headache like Initio's Rehab does. I get a tad more than 8 hours, it's certainly fall-winter only. I would NEVER recommend original Accento because I think the non-musk components fade within ~1,5-2 hours, leaving just a musk with a slight hint of pineapple. Accento Overdose is the thing that should receive the attention, I'd say Accento Overdose is one of the best daily-wear spring/fall fragrances for women. I don't get atomic from original, but do get atomic from the Overdose flanker. I am super-torn on Uden Overdose. I tried Original and liked it, but I was expecting overdose to improve on it and I didn't get that. I actually liked original more. So the exact opposite of the Accento situation.
Golden Dallah... funny story. My first almond fragrance I tried was Pegasus and I hated it. But here, I mainly get spices dominating the tonka-almond aspects, leaving a clean oud in the drydown. You can maybe layer it? I wouldn't wear it as its own though. I fully agree with your "If you like Intense Cafe" on Golden Dallah - the rose in Golden Dallah isn't that notable, again I mainly get spices. That's why I think getting Intense Cafe or Ristretto Intense is a better way of approaching the profile if you are more of a beginner. VERY LOUD. I think our impressions of Golden Dallah, in terms of main accords and profile, are very similar, but it's a like for me, not a love. I certainly appreciate it as a unique profile.
Iommi. Again, just another unique creation from Xerjoff. That rum-passionfruit top is superb, but it really fades a tad too quick. I get some combination of Oajan, Golden Dallah, and perhaps Enigma. There's just a small hint of cola, I get a more nutty take of Golden Dallah with far less spices and added honeyed sweetness. Blend quality is elite. I don't think this is for somebody that likes Naxos - Naxos is too simple compared to Iommi. If you like Royal Tobacco (and I do as I have a bottle) then it is definitely up your alley. That rose-raspberry description made me think of Atelier des Ors' Rose Omeyyade, but that's not something I get from Iommi.
Great video, Marcelo. Via Cavour I is the one that goes under the radar from Xerjoff the most in my opinion. Ouverture as well. Those are 2 of my top 5. What I like about VC1 is that it takes that Symphonium chocolate note and makes it better. The drydown (specifically just the drydown) on Symphonium is a massive letdown to me. And Ouverture, oddly enough touching on Atelier des Ors' Rose Omeyyade again, gives a green-fruity rose to me with the only other scent that I like in this class being Rose Omeyyade.

What's are ur thoughts about Accento compared with Erba Pura, does this 2 smells alike, bec Erba Pura on me is fruity, i do not pick the floral notes in Erba Pura, while Accento Overdose i tested is way too floral, Accento no test bec out of stock atm . / i love erba pura amazing one , now im curious about Accento

    • @TheNicheFragranceCollector
      @TheNicheFragranceCollector  Год назад +1

I feel that the 2 fragrance's are very different even though they do share a powdery/musk drydown.
As you mentioned Erba Pura is an explosion of exotic fruits (sometimes mango, sometimes peach etc) it's wonderful. Strong projection, incredible longevity and overall an amazing fragrance.
Accento has that distinct pineapple note but wonderfully crafted with the florals. To my nose is more floral leaning than fruits. And just like Erba Pura strong projection and incredible longevity.
I have tried Accento Overdose, so not familiar with the scent profile of this one, although a lot of people have commented that they prefer Accento Overdose over Accento.
      Hope that helps @biscosandrei9928....good luck👊🏽💫

Ooh tough question. If I go on how I often "I reach" for....then Torino 21 gets a lot more airplay. It helps that my wife loves the smell of this fragrance. As a summer, bright, happy fragrance...nothing is better😎☀️

I recently received a sample of this one….Clearly I need to be patient with this one 😬
Off the cusp, I’m like “mm, not for me”. But sprayed it again yesterday, and I kept going back to where I sprayed.
I could smell the leather, but was guessing the rest…iris!!
      Will continue to test🫡
