I found this song very emotional, especially the bit where Par walks up to the cross and carves 2021 into it 😢 Two of my great grandads and a great uncle served in the trenches of WW1. All were killed. One wrote home about this very event saying it was an odd feeling meeting the ‘enemy’, they were just ordinary men like themselves. Most had never even been out of the area they were born, in never mind seeing the horrors of war before. It was a particularly hellish, dehumanising and pointless war where the only victor was death. Thanks for your great reaction 🤗

Sabaton is from Sweden. The singer Joakim Brodén is from Dalarna, a part of Sweden with a heavy accent. And this song is the most heartfelt Christmas song I've heard. A song of humanity
My mother is from Germany and her (great?) grandfather fought in WWI, I've only seen one picture of him but he had the stereotypical handlebar mustache and spiked helmet.
Sabaton is a Swedish band that writes and sings about Actual historic events, battles, moments of heroism and wars. They will be releasing their 10th studio album on March 4th 2022. Nice thing about them is that their video's never blocked so it's RUclips safe. (except for some Wacken video's that gets blocked by Wacken) If you really want to go down the Sabaton rabbit-hole, I would recommend these: (These are all from the Sabaton Channel, and they never block videos so it's safe to use) [live at Woodstock 2012]: Ghost Division, 40:1 and Uprising [Great Tour Live Videos]: En Livstied I Krig (make sure to turn subtitles on), Red Baron, Swedish Pagans, Primo Victoria, Fields of Verdun, Devil Dogs & Angels Calling [Lyric videos]: Attack of the dead men, In Flanders Fields, 82nd All the way, Sparta, Shiroyama and The lost betallion [Music Video's]: Bismarck, Steel Commanders, Defence of Moscow, Livgardet (make sure to turn subtitles on), Fields of Verdun, Rourke's Drift, Screaming Eagles, Uprising & Seven Pillars of wisdom [Animated History Video's]: Night Witches and No Bullets Fly (not animated music video's, the animated history/story video's) [Covers]: Kingdom Come [Offical video] and I'm sure people told you but in case, Sabaton have another channel (Sabaton History Channel) where they do a deep dive into the history behind the songs with Indy Nidell.
I actually recorded my No Bullets Fly reaction (not uploaded yet) to the animated story video before reading this haha. It was a super solid video and I’ll have the reaction up soon. Appreciate you for the list!
That cross still stands at the exact place it was erected in 1914 at the side of a nowadays field, not the original anymore, but a replica. The location is in the middle of what used to be the no man's land during the first battle of Ypres, it is located near Commines-Warneton (Belgium) not far from the French border, not one day passes without fresh flowers, or even footballs being placed at the base of the cross, remembrance counts! Lest we forget
Thanks for the info and for including the name of the nearby town, Commines-Warneton (Belgium). The cross isn't easy to find, but the locals will help if you get lost. (They were really nice and seemed glad to help a tourist find the cross, and the miniature battlefield just across the road, with a "no man's land" and barbed wire and trenches on each side.) The saddest part is the little cemetery there, and then the bigger one down the road, with a memorial structure for soldiers who died "inconnu," or unknown. This is definitely worth a visit for anyone visiting the WW1 battlefields in this area! It can be life-changing. It's hard to complain about frustrations today (traffic, stressful jobs, home repair issues), after seeing where so many people suffered and died in a stupid war, brought on by the pride of Queen Victoria's grandchildren. The lesson: Stay away from wars, don't be pawns in battles for people who are nowhere near the fighting, sitting in chateaus, drinking champagne.
I just saw in the credits that Floor Jansen did the vocals for the Outro. I thought I recognized that voice!!! Floor is married to Hannes van Dahl, the drummer for Sabaton. You did a great reaction, AT! Thanks!
In case no one has said it, that cross is a real memorial! It was erected in 1999, on the 85th anniversary of the Christmas Truce by a group calling themselves The Khaki Chums. It stands in Ypres, Belgium, about 20 miles from the boarder with France, where some of the fiercest fighting took place.
The story (from one of the places the truce happened) was that they heard german soldiers sing Oh holy night in german, and the british responded with the same song but in english. Made them realize "shit, we all have the same history and we all just wanna chill on christmas, lets just see if we can take one day and be civil to eachother".
Yup they were singing stille nacht (silent night) then the British starting sing oh holy night. And that’s kind of how it all started after the gunfire had seized.
It's also of note that both sides were told by their superiors that the war would be over by Christmas. It was these very superiors that made sure no Xmas truces happened again with the threat of facing a firing squad.
I think this song is one of their best yet. If you're looking for another good Sabaton story, check out an older video, No Bullets Fly (Animated Story Video)
I was at a very low point in my life when I found Sabaton's Carolus Rex album, they saved my life, I sang and cried along with them in the songs instead.
A wonderful story! Sabaton's music is a blend of emotions, and people respond to these songs. Btw, another poster wrote something similar about Tommy Johansson's cover of "Highland," a song by the group One More Time, that the song may have saved his life.
Well, you speak of the exact things sabaton stands for, they are ALWAYS taking the common soldiers side in all their songs. Historically accurate with an history channel to boot. For me "En Livstid I Krig: live in gothenburg" is a must. if you watch it remember to put on subtitles.
I saw a video that was posted 4 years ago where a nazi (she was 14 during the war, so she likely grew up indoctrinated as a hitler youth) met with a jewish woman who survived the holocaust, they were able to sit down and have a civil conversation with each other. Then you see this video where we are remembering the truce where even in the brutal trench warfare of ww1 soldiers of both sides came together to celebrate a common holiday. Now look at the American people today, we cant even seem to celebrate a holiday if someone voted different, or even has a different point of view and there is no civil discourse anymore, everyone has their own little echo chambers. Sorry if thats kind of a rant, but loved your reaction, i spent many holidays away from home in my short time of service, Sabaton has a massive collection of extremely good songs, this one is really heavy, but there are a few more you would probably appreciate. Yarnhub animated story for both "night witches", and "no bullets fly" And the official music video for "to hell and back" the story is of audi murphy (the most decorated us soldier in our armed forces history) and his battles with ptsd even after the war. Like i said great reaction, i subbed keep up the good work.
Their Drummer Hannes Van Dahl got his military experience from the cavallery. You can watch the clip here at RUclips. It's called Hannes 1 year anniversary.😄
Great reaction! If you want something to top this one emotionally then check out "No bullets fly" (the animated story version) or if you want to se another one with a really high level production then check out "Bismarck". After those, the Sabaton army will probably arrive here and give you the complete list. Chances are none of their songs will disappoint you. Oh, also, check out "En livstid i krig" (A lifetime at war), the live version from Gothenburg. Make sure to activate the subtitles.
That truce was at no man's land. A lot of soldiers on both sides refused to fight each other after that so ended up getting moved. Because of that truces were banned and court martial would be punishment if they did.
It's a cross between Carol of the Bells and Moonlight Sonata. They are from Finland. The band is the main characters, and they are split between the Allies and the Germans. Joakim, Par, and Hannes is on the German side, Joakim is the singer, Par is the bassist and writing the letter, Hannes is the drummer and the first man over the top (the guy with the flashbacks). Tommy is the solo guitarist, he dressed as early French in the blue and red, and Chris, guitarist) is the first Ally over the top, he's dressed as a British officer in the dull green. The end credits singer is Floor Jensen, lead singer of Nightwish and Hannes' wife.
@@christianjohnson8642 Yes, Swedish. Tommy mentions in one video, (A Metal Night at the Museum?) that he's half Finnish. There's a mention that the Finns are the happiest people in the world. When someone asks Joakim how he's doing, he replies, "I'm happy as a Finn."
Welcome into the rabbithole of the world of Sabaton. You made a really good and heartfelt reaction. Just a warning...Sabaton always makes you FEEL the story they are telling. #Andre De Ath made a really nice list for you down below, start with those and we will add to that list as we go 😂. I will keep an eye out for your future reactions.
I just found your channel! Great reaction. Welcome to the Sabaton rabbit hole. I was raised as an Army Brat and come from an almost entirely military family. I LOVE the work they do! The stories I've heard as a child are now being put to my favorite music! Please react to more. SABATON. They do all of their own research. They have a second channel Sabaton History. They work with an actual historian and create videos about the stories their songs are based on. BTW, I see reacted to NIGHTWISH. Well, Hannes in the video is their drummer. He is married to FLOOR JANSEN OF NIGHTWISH. That is the female voice singing at the end. 💕🙏🇺🇸
Great reaction! Swedish Power Metal at its best!! 🤘🇸🇪 I highly recommend their official music videos for "Bismarck", "No bullets fly" (animated story video) "Seven pillars of wisdom" (it's about Lawrence of Arabia) and "To hell and back" (this one is about Audie Murphy, the most decorated American soldier from WW2). Also check out "En livstid i krig" (= A lifetime of war. Live from Gothenburg, 2020. Captions on!) Welcome to a new rabbit hole! 😁🤘 Btw, I don't know how familiar you are with Nightwish, but the first guy climbing up from the trench is the drummer of Sabaton and Floor Jansen's (singer of Nightwish) husband... Floor is also singing during the credits.
who did hear the Holly Grace at the end, when he showed what was carved on the cross? the moment You mentioned, that it sounds like a song that everyone would join to sing, You got my Thumb-Up. Really hope You will make more reactions of Sabaton info: Sabaton - Sweden
This Song is definetly bittersweet, but what I get is : Live the Moment and appreciate the ones that you love. And lovely greetings to all of you from Germany.
Late to this thread, but thanks for the lovely greetings from Germany. It was the German soldiers who started the Christmas Truce, because to them, Christmas was more important than war. And when the generals ordered everyone back to war, the soldiers on both sides didn't want to fight their "new friends." They aimed and fired their guns too high to hit anyone, they called out "grenade" before throwing one, and this type of refusal resulted in the generals forced to break up the groups, scatter them to different battlefields, punish them. This set of soldiers from different countries really set an example for all of us: We shouldn't be fighting and killing each other.
The truly magical thing about that Christmas truce is the upper brass of both countries did not approve it. It was an agreement created and upheld by the soldiers on the front lines themselves. The upper brass where so pissed that the next year both sides forced their artillery to pound the lines all Christmas day.
As well as placing officers on the front lines who had already shown a certain amount of aggression, and at least in one case placing a sniper who had lost family, with instructions to not let anyone near the lines.
So many has already answered and given you much information already. I can add that make sure you always watch their videos to the very end. You might very well miss something otherwise, and would be a shame.. Welcome to the world of Sabaton!!
They're Swedish, not Welsh. This song would never be sang around some fire while drinking. Man,..it's pain and death and trying to have a warm moment within it all. Here's what happened:: On December 24th,1914 the German soldiers lit their lanterns and displayed them on the edge of their trenches, carol singing broke out. Soon enough the British and French troops joined in. Christmas greetings and well wishes were exchanged, and offers of a temporary ceasefire were communicated between the trenches. They also played the most iconic game of Soccer ever recorded. The truce lasted for wo days but when their superior officers found out the soldiers on sll sides were punished. Some were transfered out, some ran,not wanting to fight. And the rest were shot right there for refusing orders to restart the battle once again,te soldiers not wanting to kill those they had met.
Hey Tyler, would we be so lucky to have a band like Sabaton from our Welsh Valleys, but nope they're Swedes! Though I do hear how you could think so from Joakim's voice. I think you might like Talvisota and White Death from Sabaton also - about Talvisota, the Winter War between Russia & Finland, and Simo Häyhä respectively!
They're a Swedish band, and they're absolutely amazing! I got into them thanks to Dan Vasc and his Sabaton covers, especially The Last Stand. Check out that song by Sabaton themselves, by Dan Vasc, and by Jonathan Young. All three versions are great. And please do some reactions to Dan and Jonathan on their channels; they both have literally hundreds of videos. This reaction and this song is great!
I love Trans Siberian Orchestra's version, I remember seeing it ages ago as a Christmas lights on a house synced to music video (before RUclips) and it has been my favourite Christmas song ever since.
Thankyou my friend for that very informative, intelligent & heartwarming insight into what I would describe as a Sabaton classic..not a majestic one but a brutally honest & passionate story...
11 albums to go. 10 of them History done to Metal. Sabaton is Swedish and has been around for 22 years. The Drummer is married to Floor from Nightwish.
Some cool Battle between the bands (Sabaton style) Sabaton - 82nd all the way Amaranthe - 82nd all the way Sabaton - Carolus Rex Follow the Cipher - Carolus Rex Manowar - Kingdom Come Sabaton - Kingdom Come Amon Amarth - Twighlight of the thundergod Sabaton - Twighlight of the tundergo
They are Swedish. Uprising by Sabaton is also amazing. My favorite from them. You can watch the music video for the context and the live 2012 version for the epicness :)
Yes this is a great song from Sabaton, but you are only scraching the surface of all the amazing things they made :) Once you get in to Sabaton you just cant stop, you just want more. Sabaton is the rabbit hole of all rabbit holes :D
Very nice reaction. Welcome to Sabaton. I would suggest Bismarck as a future video. But you can take my word for it, all of there songs are great! No bullets fly (Animated story video) is another great emotinal song.
One correction-- the Axis wasn't formed until WWII. The Great War, (WWI) was the killer of empires, namely The German Empire and the Austrian-Hungarian Empire who were part of the Central Powers. The Allies were called the "Allied Powers". The Christmas Truce (German: Weihnachtsfrieden; French: Trêve de Noël) took place on December 24th until December 26th, 1914. Many of these truces happened all across the Western Front on the front line which was about about 50 miles from Paris, France. Henry Williamson a nineteen-year-old private in the London Rifle Brigade, wrote to his mother about the actual Christmas Truce: Dear Mother, I am writing from the trenches. It is 11 o'clock in the morning. Beside me is a coke fire, opposite me a 'dug-out' (wet) with straw in it. The ground is sloppy in the actual trench, but frozen elsewhere. In my mouth is a pipe presented by the Princess Mary. In the pipe is tobacco. Of course, you say. But wait. In the pipe is German tobacco. Haha, you say, from a prisoner or found in a captured trench. Oh dear, no! From a German soldier. Yes a live German soldier from his own trench. Yesterday the British & Germans met & shook hands in the Ground between the trenches, & exchanged souvenirs, & shook hands. Yes, all day Xmas day, & as I write. Marvelous, isn't it?
Haha 💯 This song/video hit me different somehow. I was a little caught off throughout just because of how much it moved me. Appreciate the correction for sure!
@Drew Harris do a simple google search of WWI-- the axis didnt exist until WWII. The Central Powers actually consisted of The German Empire, Austria-Hungary Empire, The Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria.
Well, now you have a wonderful journey ahead of you. Sabaton is a band from Sweden who's songs are about historical wars and battles, they even have their own Sabaton History channel where they tell the actual history of the battles in their songs. Suggestions to continue with are "Devil Dogs" (about the battle of Belleau Wood and how the US Marines got their nickname), "No Bullets Fly" (about how a german fighterpilot escorted an allied bomber to safety), "Defence of Moscow" (how the russians beat back the Nazis) and "En livstid i krig" (the live version from Gothenburg in Swedish with the captions on; it's about how a youth is drafted to fight for Sweden in the 30 year war - 1618-1648). EDIT: Also, remember to never stop a Sabaton song until it ends by itself, more often than not they have some kind of message after the song has ended.
Great reaction! You are spot on regardning how society has lost its way. We are all humans, with the same struggles, no matter what layer of political preference or religious belief we have. Sabaton (the name comes from foot armor of medieval knights) is a Swedish metal band that has been around since the 90s. Pretty much all their music is based on actual historic events, all related to war. They even have a Sabaton History Channel which explains the story behind many of the songs more deeply. The main difference between Sabaton and other bands is that they also sing about the really dark chapters, both from a soldiers perspective and overall. My recommendations (as a native Swede): -En Livstid i Krig (A lifetime of war) Live from Gothenburg, Sweden- The thoughts of a soldier in the 30-year war (1618-1648) . Use captions ruclips.net/video/WBs3G1PvyfM/видео.html - No Bullets Fly About a german fighter pilot that risked his life to save the pilot of a badly shot up B-17 in WWII (Amazing story) ruclips.net/video/dslO-3GgenY/видео.html -Bismarck - About the German battleship Bismarck in WWII. Really nice video production to a great song. ruclips.net/video/oVWEb-At8yc/видео.html - They Final Solution - A really sad,yet good, song about the horrors of the holocaust of WWII. ruclips.net/video/_O3awC4mv4Q/видео.html There are so many more great songs and stories, but can't list them all. Tried to keep it short, but didn't go as intended :)
This truce wasn't authorized by any of the military commando it was a spontaneous thing where the German soldiers took the initative. After the truce the soldiers didn't wanna keep fighting which is very much understandable. However this wasn't popular within the miltary commando on both sides and some actually got executed for not following orders.
I can really, really like you to react to their son "En livstid i krig", live from Gothenburg. It is in Swedish so take the lyrics version. It's about the 30-years war ended in 1632. Father's fought with rhein sons because the war was so long and it tells the story of the unglamorous life of a soldier. It is a fantastic video in many aspects. Liked your reaction this one very much!
I kind of feel the opposite of your words at the end. I can't feel pride for those who choose to participate in killing in yet another meaningless war. But I feel an enormous pride for all those soldiers that for one moment instead chose humanity, refused to follow orders and instead met their enemies as friends and fellow humans. Who, even when direct orders had gone out to fraternize with the enemy, ignored them. There's why I find the pride. And the shame for those generals and officers who did everything to stop another such moment.
well sabaton is from Sweden if im not mistaken the holy night referance is becuse in history the germans sung holy night also the referance we hear "voices sang from no mans land" is what the allies heard. there were actual soccer/football games during the christmas truce the truce was never official is the thing it was soldiers who made it and it was over the entire western front almost ,some holding up to almost new year only to be broken up by higher ups with artillary volleys. The monument is actually there IRL sadly i dont know the precise location sorry for the history rant and bad english.
Hi there friend. I really like your reaction to this and how you talked about it. And yes. Sabaton is from Sweden and this amazing group deserve so much respect - not only because they make beautiful songs lyrics and videos - but also for all the true stories they tell so theirs songs are not just good music it is also a history lesson. I hope you Will look st more of their art. And i can reccomend strongly. the song No bullets fly the animated version and make sure to Watch to the whole end. And also i reccomend En livstid i krig. The live version from Gothenburgh just have the capture the translate on And welcome to the swedish music of Course. Nice to meet you here 🤗

Sabaton are interestingly enough (not sure if this goes for all members but still) Pacifists who hasn't served in the military, but they are history buffs and thought; if we are going to write lyrics, we might as well do lyrics that tells important stories about our history so that we can remember and not repeat our mistakes. There are songs about the horrors of warfare but also heroics of the humans who took part in it. They have songs about heroes and horrors from all sides of wars. No one gets a free pass and no one gets left out from praise for when they did heroic deeds. I've learned more about the history of war in humanity's time from Sabaton than I ever did from school
Thank you for bringing up todays climate, because this is where we are heading. The fighting needs to stop. You think youre about it all, till you see your friends get slaughtered and realize we where all wrong. We need to just shut the fuck up and remain silent.
Пусть будет мир во всем мире и дружба народов . Не давайте политикам и безумцам начинать войны и получать сверх прибыли ! Обычные люди добры и везде одинаковые , везде .
Yeah, I can say marines are Navy Uber passengers, and Marines make horse jokes about Army Cavalry guys like me, but you are in an exclusive club. Someone else throws an insult and suddenly we all stand up together. Gotta earn that privilege to insult the family.
Pretty fucking awesome and makes stuff make more sense wish you would have done it sooner cuz I don't keep up with many reactors I keep up with 2 of u that's it
The struggle was more of a human struggle and it is today but nowadays rather than duels or battles for glory or honor is stripped with pure efficiency and effectiveness since back then you stabbed a man whilst looking into his eyes, you shot a child so far and yet so close, now it’s either self guided munitions or drones, and the humanity of warfare is shed with nappy wearing pen pushers which thinks that sneezing should be a human rights violation. And this isn’t to say that soldiers today have it easy CHRIST NO but the nature of warfare is soo much different from say as a Roman legion marching ten miles in a day, build a fortress and then off to battle or during the nepolionic era when discipline and rate of fire was vital in securing victory, ww1 was simply throw as many troops at a well fortified and entrenched position and see what happens, ww2 became a war of mobilization and mobility be it mobilizing the population and workforce to build more and better things or getting from point A to Point B
You chopped that song up so much so you lost the feeling. The are from Sweden and the video shows what happened in 1 world war year 1914. I prefer to hear sabaton sing, not here you talk onely you love your one voice.
yo in every world war the us came 2 years later and you are the winner of the war....tsssss.sooo loiusi.in ww1 more manpower and british blockade.in ww2 after 6 years americans learn they fought the wrong enemy......what a fail.....!america fight for democracie and freedom .....i laugh.america?vacations?uhhh.

as a fan of sabaton and watching people first time hearing them all i can say is please do MOAR
More is coming soon for sure!

And the official music video for "to hell and back" the story is of audi murphy (the most decorated us soldier in our armed forces history) and his battles with ptsd even after the war.
Like i said great reaction, i subbed keep up the good work.
The piano part was a variation on "Carol Of The Bells".
Their Drummer Hannes Van Dahl got his military experience from the cavallery. You can watch the clip here at RUclips. It's called Hannes 1 year anniversary.😄
Some useful facts about him and not the standard spam everyone writes about him being married to Floor. Thanks a lot. 👍
I think we're already here... 💪😁🤘
All songs🥰
They are from Sweden
Captions on!)
Welcome to a new rabbit hole! 😁🤘
Btw, I don't know how familiar you are with Nightwish, but the first guy climbing up from the trench is the drummer of Sabaton and Floor Jansen's (singer of Nightwish) husband... Floor is also singing during the credits.
My man, what an introduction to Sabaton! Glad to welcome you to our fandom! Can't wait to see more of your reactions to these absolute legends!
algorythm brought me back, and now i have to leave a subscribe
Appreciate that!
who did hear the Holly Grace at the end, when he showed what was carved on the cross?
the moment You mentioned, that it sounds like a song that everyone would join to sing, You got my Thumb-Up. Really hope You will make more reactions of Sabaton
info: Sabaton - Sweden
That would be Floor, from the group Nightwish, who is married to the drummer here on Sabaton. She has an incredible voice as well.
Nam was my day, the words are hopeful, painful and yet truthful.
this song tears me up,
thank you Sabaton.
100 thumbs up 🥲
The truly magical thing about that Christmas truce is the upper brass of both countries did not approve it.
@@leechowning2712 Yea they truly put all of their military planning to work to stop another truce.
So many has already answered and given you much information already. I can add that make sure you always watch their videos to the very end. You might very well miss something otherwise, and would be a shame.. Welcome to the world of Sabaton!!
The melody is Carol of the Bells :)
Check out Swedish Pagans by Sabaton too ;)
Love from Sweden❤🇸🇪
There are many reasons why I call Sabaton the best history teachers you’ll never have. This song is only one of those reasons.
BTW, Sabaton are from Sweden 🇸🇪
They're Swedish, not Welsh. This song would never be sang around some fire while drinking. Man,..it's pain and death and trying to have a warm moment within it all.
Here's what happened::
On December 24th,1914 the German soldiers lit their lanterns and displayed them on the edge of their trenches, carol singing broke out.
Thanks for your heartfelt reaction, I teared up a bit
If you want another awesome one by Sabaton I can highly recommend En livs tid i krig (a lifetime of war) live from Gothenburg.
The ballad version of Carol of the bells. but the most well known version of it I think is Trans Siberian Orchestra Christmas eve in Serajevo
I love Trans Siberian Orchestra's version, I remember seeing it ages ago as a Christmas lights on a house synced to music video (before RUclips) and it has been my favourite Christmas song ever since.
Thankyou my friend for that very informative, intelligent & heartwarming insight into what I would describe as
a Sabaton classic..not a majestic one but a brutally honest & passionate story...
11 albums to go. 10 of them History done to Metal. Sabaton is Swedish and has been around for 22 years. The Drummer is married to Floor from Nightwish.
Some cool Battle between the bands (Sabaton style)
Sabaton - 82nd all the way
Amaranthe - 82nd all the way
Sabaton - Carolus Rex
Follow the Cipher - Carolus Rex
Manowar - Kingdom Come
Sabaton - Kingdom Come
Amon Amarth - Twighlight of the thundergod
Sabaton - Twighlight of the tundergo
They are Swedish.
Uprising by Sabaton is also amazing. My favorite from them. You can watch the music video for the context and the live 2012 version for the epicness :)
The line “bury our friends” breaks me every time
You should really react more to Sabaton. They're an awesome band and their songs always depicts wars and historical events.
Got another one coming up!
That hit you harder than you let on... Love you Tyler... And thank you for your service... 😁
Such a great band, my favorites are 40-1, Winged Hussars and Screaming Eagles. They get it right!
Yes this is a great song from Sabaton, but you are only scraching the surface of all the amazing things they made :)
Once you get in to Sabaton you just cant stop, you just want more.
Henry Williamson a nineteen-year-old private in the London Rifle Brigade, wrote to his mother about the actual Christmas Truce:
Dear Mother, I am writing from the trenches.
Haha 💯
This song/video hit me different somehow.
This was like Hollywoodproduction musicvideo!!!!
Floor at end bonus to brilliant song and video 👍
With permission I can recommend Sabaton song Far from the fame (Masters of rock 2012) 🇨🇿
My recommendations (as a native Swede):
-En Livstid i Krig (A lifetime of war) Live from Gothenburg, Sweden- The thoughts of a soldier in the 30-year war (1618-1648) . Use captions
ruclips.net/video/WBs3G1PvyfM/видео.html
- No Bullets Fly About a german fighter pilot that risked his life to save the pilot of a badly shot up B-17 in WWII (Amazing story)
ruclips.net/video/dslO-3GgenY/видео.html
-Bismarck - About the German battleship Bismarck in WWII. Really nice video production to a great song.
ruclips.net/video/oVWEb-At8yc/видео.html
- They Final Solution - A really sad,yet good, song about the horrors of the holocaust of WWII.
ruclips.net/video/_O3awC4mv4Q/видео.html
There are so many more great songs and stories, but can't list them all.
Tried to keep it short, but didn't go as intended :)
The song is "Carol of the bells".
The piano part is close to the Carol of the Bells.
The piano part resembles the Carol of the Bells, I think.
Awsome awsome 🤘
Other bangers
Aviana - Rage
Imminence - Ghost
Orbit Culture - Carvings
Night Crowned - Nattkrönt
Vildhjarta - Kaos2
DEMOTIONAL - Bärsärk
you should do Sabaton No Bullets Fly, animated story video , you wont regret it
I kind of feel the opposite of your words at the end. And the shame for those generals and officers who did everything to stop another such moment.
need a way to go? Check out 82nd all the way, The red Baron...and then wait for more ;)
great guess with the Welsh accent, it does!
well sabaton is from Sweden if im not mistaken
the holy night referance is becuse in history the germans sung holy night also the referance we hear "voices sang from no mans land" is what the allies heard.
there were actual soccer/football games during the christmas truce
the truce was never official is the thing it was soldiers who made it and it was over the entire western front almost ,some holding up to almost new year only to be broken up by higher ups with artillary volleys.
The monument is actually there IRL sadly i dont know the precise location
sorry for the history rant and bad english.
Nice reaction.
Floor sounds fantastic at the and🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Hi there friend.
Hi bjorn, Chris has done military service 🤗
@@freyallarganswald4746 Thanks! Had a feeling someone had. But am I correct in remembering that Pär and Joakim haven't?
It was a bloody war.
I like your reaction, thanks
Thank you for bringing up todays climate, because this is where we are heading. The fighting needs to stop. You think youre about it all, till you see your friends get slaughtered and realize we where all wrong. We need to just shut the fuck up and remain silent.
Great emotionella reaction brother
Check out sabaton bismarsh
If I Had The resources i would take you to there live concert in Norrköping in marsh
you know what is sad? One more war is upon us
Subscribed! MORE SABATON!!!! Check out the no bullets fly animated story video!
Пусть будет мир во всем мире и дружба народов . Не давайте политикам и безумцам начинать войны и получать сверх прибыли ! Обычные люди добры и везде одинаковые , везде .
Well said! We the people regularly don't want war, we like to live in peace and thrive.
Yeah, I can say marines are Navy Uber passengers, and Marines make horse jokes about Army Cavalry guys like me, but you are in an exclusive club. Someone else throws an insult and suddenly we all stand up together. Gotta earn that privilege to insult the family.
Pretty fucking awesome and makes stuff make more sense wish you would have done it sooner cuz I don't keep up with many reactors I keep up with 2 of u that's it
Loved the reaction but a little tip always watch the wole video and when you do the animated videos do the longerones theygive more of the story
Christmas 1914 😢 , for the next song I suggest final solution
Damn that was a cool cap you got. 👍
I think you mean Carol of the Bells
Give credit for the trench builders!
They are Swedish
🇸🇪
FYI allies and axis are WW2. WW1 is Entente and Central powers.
Listen til the the end of credits.
Good reaction, but…never cut off Floor at the end
I'll choose to take the compliment and ignore the end of this comment ;)
You don't pause enough. Try every 5 seconds. Don't let the song build any momentum.
Good advice. Thanks!
😂 😂 😂
You chopped that song up so much so you lost the feeling. The are from Sweden and the video shows what happened in 1 world war year 1914.
I prefer to hear sabaton sing, not here you talk onely you love your one voice.
yo in every world war the us came 2 years later and you are the winner of the war....tsssss.sooo loiusi.in ww1 more manpower and british blockade.in ww2 after 6 years americans learn they fought the wrong enemy......what a fail.....!america fight for democracie and freedom .....i laugh.america?vacations?uhhh.
stop pausing, u ruin it
You talk to much during the music
Almost like it’s a… reaction or something
