Bryce, thank you for making this video! The official Oticon guide was completely useless, they need to hire you to show their uses how to use this extremely expensive device for using the hearing aids with your computer. I apprecate you taking the time to make this video!
This was incredibly helpful. I googled how to do this and they kept talking about a dongle. I knew that wasn't it because I had connected another connectclip in the past. I then waited for over an hour to speak with someone at Oticon, to no avail. Then I watched this and you explained the process so clearly, I was able to connect it in a few seconds! THANK YOU for your clarity!

@@appliedhearingsolutionspho172 are you aware of a problem with this happening with Windows 11? Helpfull, thank you, but I need to know if I can use the ConnectClip on Online-meetings as well? Means: so I can speek and take part in the meeting, as well as hear the others through my hearing aids?
I use my ConnectClip every day for the audio portion of the calls at work as we make calls all day on a voip service (WebEx). Can the connect clip be used as a noise free MICROPHONE for calls all day in an open office? Or do you recommend still using the headset microphone? Probably 30 calls a day and need a great noise cancelling microphone. THE AUDIO IS GREAT!!!
I just dont understand why Windows or MacOS cant simply connect directly to the Oticons, after all my iphone can. My most new bluetooth enabled devices have low power enabled. Mine is Bluetooth 5.3 which should connect.
Very helpful, please show with windows 11 as my brand new Dell running windows 11 doesn't ever list the connect clip so I had to buy a dongle, which is not at all what I would have expected for a $300 connect clip.
your video is very helpful but do the oticon hearing aid still continue to pick up sound as per normal as mine does even though im streaming sound off my laptop via the connect clip.
I followd your instructions to the letter but the sound only come through the let hearing aid. This is not just with your video but with many others too. What is going wrong?
Trying to pair my husband’s Oticon intent1 to his Mac Mini. This should help. But first we have to charge up the ConnectClip. Why can’t we pair directly to his MacMini, without having to go through a ConnectClip? It seems cumbersome, compared to direct pairing to iPhone.
I use the connectclip with my Apple TV via bluetooth and the quality of sound in my hearing aids (Oticon OPN 2), is "a lot better" than using the Oticon TV adapter 3.0...please tell me why...?
If I turn off the Bluetooth on a laptop and turn on the Bluetooth to a cellphone will it automatically be able to sync or would I have to start the re syncing process every time?
Hi thanks for these videos. My questions is: How do I switch between the computer and my phone? I noticed that if I go from the laptop to my phone there is no connection through my clip to my phone. To connect to my phone I have to redo the process of pushing both buttons and going to bluetooth to connect clip to phone. Is there an easier way to do this, as I can not do in when the phone rings or I take a phone call, as I haven't got the time to do all that when I get a phone call. So, my question is how can I switch my connect clip between computer and phone without having to redo do the connection process each time? Thank you.
Ok, here's a hell of a long shot. I have been using the connect clip and it works fine until I leave range (forgot it at my desk). When I reconnect, it loops endlessly from music mode for ~8 seconds to pair mode for ~1 second, causing audio to cut out. Restarts, re-pairing and reseting bluetooth have all failed to prevent this behaviour. How would I hard-reset the clip, or otherwise solve this issue?
Worked great (volume was a bit too low so I adjusted it up with the oticon on app) til I wallked out of the bluetooth range and it disconnected from the computer where the sx was now from the computer. The connectclip lx is solid green and solid yellow. Tried to get it to reengage with the comp but no luck. (computer shows as connected) Clicking the TV Adapter/EduMic icon in the Oticon app does not re-establish the connection. Trys for a while the goes back to P1. Any idea what went wrong and how to restore the connection?
Connections made and hear some audio then it cuts out, cuts in again, then cuts out, etc. sometimes only audio in one ha then sometime both , continuously cuts in and out. Shutting down blue tooth, clearing all pairings, etc. doesn't solve the problem. Oticon More 1 ha's firmware 1.4.3. Any help appreciated, appt with audiologist next week hope will solve problem.
What will happen if I've connected the clip to for my computer, bud also have a direct connection between my IPhone? I just want to use the clip for Teams meetings and so on, not to use with my phone because there is already a connection, Can my hearing aids have two connections?
Hi, I regularly use my oticon aids direct with my iPhone without the connect clip however use the connect clip to access my Mac laptop. This works great, however, if I get a notification of a phone call on. My iPhone it take the connection from the connect clip/laptop and connect to my phone. This I understand. But, how do I get it to connect back with my laptop without having to turn everything off and on again? Also, I have found if using MS Teams on my laptop for a conference call, the connect clip cannot cope streaming audio from the laptop to my hearing aid as well as streaming audio to the laptop from the mic. This means my voice sounds distorted to others on the Teams call. I have to use a separate microphone. I know this is a Teams issue as I have had the with other Bluetooth devices, such as AirPods. Fortunately I do have a separate microphone I can use, but is there anyway to stop needing to do this when using teams? Thanks, very useful video.
The blue light comes on and flashes, but doesn't turn solid or connect with the computer. I had used your video before and it worked, but after visiting the hearing center and having my hearing aids updated. I had the clip with me. Does it have something to do with that?
I know that this was posted a while ago, but maybe you're still monitoring... If I connect in this way, how does that affect my current connection to my iphone. Would I still be able to receive calls? Would it take a settings change?
hello im asking how to fix after using connect clip its only streaming to one hearing aid, i just came back from a recent check up and i think its because of that, how do i fix this?
you are assuming everything goes right. My experience is oticon bluetooth and windows connectivity is less than reliable or consistent. How do i make it consistent, reiliable?
It paired fine to my Mac, worked for about a minute then disconnected. It still shows up as one of my bluetooth devices, but will no longer connect. Hence, there is a bug Perhaps not yet worked out.
@@sierraauggie I bought a used BTD800 from Amazon, and my OPN1s pair to the connect clip, and to my macbook. I basically don't need the dongle. I only paid 26.00 for it, so no great loss.
Thanks for that I was able to connect directly but the audio cuts in and out and I suspect the microphone is as well. When I spoke with otacon they told me I had to use the dongle and to disable the internal Bluetooth. I did that and I still have the cutout so I'm very frustrated with the connect clip at this point.
What does it mean when your connect clip shows as being connected to both your computer and your hearing aids, but will not stream from the computer and blinks double reds while it is plugged in and charging?
This is a great video, thank you. I'm still having trouble though. When I first connected it to my computer it seemed to work fine for about a day. Now it connects and I can hear the sound but it goes on and off sporadically. It'll be on for maybe 20 seconds and then off for 10 and then on for a minute and then off for a few seconds and it's very frustrating. I suspect the microphone is doing the same thing so I won't be able to use this for my zoom call for work. When I reached out to otacon directly they told me I needed to have an actual Bluetooth adapter and not connect it directly to the laptops Bluetooth. I did that as well disabling the laptop Bluetooth and using the adapter only and the same issue exists only a little less of a lag. In other words the time off is shorter than When I was connected directly to the computers internal Bluetooth. Any suggestions?
I followed all the instructions, and I know the clip connects to my hearing aids. Then I added a connection through my laptop and I have a solid green and solid blue light on the clip. But your video or iTunes on the PC is not playing through my hearing aids. The audio is still coming through the speakers which are plugged into my laptop. If I unplug my Bose speakers, the audio is coming through my laptop speaker. What am I doing wrong?
