Cheers Ben I don’t go over 8lb on my reels it’s the limit on my feeder rods been using maxima and detection lately . I did win a spool of maver carp mono couple of months ago but not used yet it’s on a spare reel I use as back up.
I think my ignition rod goes up to 10lb, will double check that before I spool up, to be honest 8 has been fine for everywhere I’ve used it
what i do is drain the sweetcorn and cover the sweetcorn with curry power and leave if in the fridge over night and with sweetcorn juice i use mix it with bread crums to make bread paste and chop up a tin of lunchon meat and put in bag and add a few teaspoons hot chill sauce ..give a shake and leave in the fridge.. and mix them all together to form you ground bait mix and chop up peperami sticks and dip it in chili oil and use it hook bait..and par boil potatos and cut them in small cubs ..just the size to put on a size 18 and soak them in cold coffee over night

Use to use 6 but went to a new venue we had a match booked week later . at so I went to practice n kept snapping They were real fighters so I upped to 8lb lot better it’s called candy corner near Doncaster airport!

@@boiliebencarpfishing don’t know mate but one of best up here in South Yorkshire.obviously it’s up against the Lindholm n hallcroft but they pretty much matched up all time.

Just had a quick look in my hooklink box, you’re not wrong, one of them was tied the wrong way, I don’t usually make that mistake 😂

@@alanfoster4411 Daiwa Sesnsor on my inertia, 8lb but I’ll probably spool it up with 10lb next time, the carp rods have got 15lb subsonik camo line which was on them when I got them from a friend
