My pastor husband left me 8 months ago and filed for divorce 2 months ago. He knows the word better than anyone I know. I have been told the phrase that he knows God hates divorce, but that this is God’s permissive will for him and that he is already justified and forgiven by God. He stated it’s another sin on his record and God has forgiven him for it. The deception is so real.

"Permissive will" is another lie from the enemy. My the veil of deception be lifted from all blind eyes. May the Lord bless and sustain you Jes.

My sympathies Jes. Sadly I've also heard a divorcing spouse say - I'm a Christian so I know God will forgive me.

My spouse says that he made an adult decision that affected our marriage. I'm appalled everytime it comes up. But this man is an unbeliever so so the unequal yolk gives him a freepass to be a heathen. I guess I should've chosen better.

I would suggest you stand on The Word of GOD and pray for your spouses salvation and restoration of your marriage if the LORD puts that on your heart also.💖@@annagrace1159

Yeppp this my husband he says he is justified in this divorce because even though it’s wrong God is a forgiving God he paid for this sin on the cross thus there is no consequence for this sense he repented of it.

What about a spouse who claims his new girlfriend is the best thing that ever happened to him, and he’s completely abandoned his wife & child.
Have you seen marriages like this restored or salvaged

Spouses running from the Lord will claim lots of things. We must pray the deception that comes from the enemy is removed from our prodigal spouses hearts.
We've heard of the Lord performing absolute miracles in troubled marriages. On this Easter Sunday, rejoice that the God who conquered death can indeed restore dead marriages!
It's worth visiting the Rejoice Marriage Ministries RUclips channel. They have many testimonies of restored marriages. It will be a blessing to you!

My ex husband did that to me and I was pregnant .. he tried to come back more than once. I mean he embarrassed me in front our family and mutual friends. Even had a fake wedding with no license. My heart was cold so I didn’t take him back now I’m praying for restoration 10 years later . So I can attest that the new gf sometimes get old quick .. the Lord kept saying don’t breathe life into it and it’ll die. Once he realized I didn’t care it took all the fun out of their relationship.

I don't want to divorce. But I feel like if I don't, my husband will drive me insane. He has been physically abusive, verbally, psychologically and financially. I don't want my son to ever see that kind of toxic family home ever again. He has never apologized, is still as proud as can be and is moving on doing all he loves. He has never contacted me or his son. They told me of I get divorced, I will stay married before God.. How horrible, is this really so? Because it's easy to work on marriage or just call it quits but don't let people's daughters suffer

So sorry to hear of your situation. Obviously, what unfolded was not a mirror of the picture God paints of marriage. Consider emailing us and sharing your prayer request with our listening audience as we firmly believe in the power of prayer and God's ability to work in ways we can't comprehend.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. - Ephesians 3:20

If he is physically abusive, you must set firm boundaries. Your husband can be a good person from inside but he is a very broken man. He is doing this out of his own unresolved childhood growing up past traumas. People bring past unresolved traumas and issues into their marriage. It is important to understand his brokenness. It seems like you need to be in a recovery group. You need healing. You need to focus on your healing and your son. Cling to God and seek support from recovery group or support group. Prayers for you and your family. May God give you comfort, strength and wisdom. Amen.
