I would only say be careful picking out even a biblical counselor. Many do not understand the idea of standing for a marriage and don't seem to understand how a prodigal will twist the truth towards their goal of leaving. Some even support divorce if they don't see a possible resolution to the marital issues.
Often, even those in the church will offer secular resolutions such as "just move on". Doesn't have any or very little consideration for resolution through forgiveness and restoration. Isn't it just easier to find someone "new" instead praying, waiting and trusting God?
It's been 3 yrs of standing and I'm at my end .didn't think I would get to this point but Its just taking a toll on me mentally. Ive been praying even more than I usually do and im just getting more and more motivated to quit my stand and leave my wife alone like she always wanted from the very beginning of our marriage .she NEVER wanted to be with me so I'll give her the desire of her heart.💔 Doesn't make sense to stand till death while God has actual limits
God will always take us back, always. Ill pray strength for you TICO. Standing is no easy journey. It is an opportunity to love your wife passionately even in all her brokenness. And your brokenness. That is Christ-like. Be strong, TICO. Be strong.
I’d love to know that statistic for reconciliation when there is a stander. Even just a rough order of magnitude like more than half or greater or less??
Same. I’m currently standing for my wife. Separated 3 months. I’ve made a complete turn around no cheating or physical abuse but she still sees no future. I’m going to continue to pray especially since we have a 4 year old daughter.
Honestly I can tell you I would pray 🙏 but this is going to depend on your prayers. I can give you the same steps I'm going through. Pray for your wife & family on your own. Restore yourself to God. Get to know him & his word & the miracles he performed. Before doing any of that, repent for your sins. Let your wife know the issues you caused in the marriage. Apologize & repent. Matt 6:33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God & his righteousness & all these things will be added unto you.
I know you all work together but I don't know if we possible for your wife to do a podcast just to wives who are thinking about running away, a woman to woman talk like you said you did not want to listen to your own husbands thoughts, and maybe the Lord used that but the Bible also mentions that the older should teach the younger, and I have been looking for such a message to break through the delusion and fantasy of my wife thinking it's better to run away. Just a thought I had while listening to this and thank you for continuing to share your hearts and testimonies without shame because the testimony actually glorifies the Lord...
22:38 Sorry but 7 10 15 yrs after separation or divorce IS NOT quickly lol. we don't live long you guys we only live to 80 90 and by then we can't do anything 😂 so bieng lonely and wanting to get married after divorce is a sin now? If we only needed God for all our needs why did he make a helpmate? if we only need just God for all our sexual needs also why did he make a helpmate?

After so many years and so many trials and tribulations and unanswered prayers, it's hard to stand especially another year of holidays.
Never stop believing and trusting in what God can do. He is a miracle worker! Blessings and encouragement to you in this trying season.
