Drive Safely!
Just a quick note: get as close as possible to the intersection to have a better view of the oncoming traffic. If you are in doubt about whether to proceed or not, wait for a better opportunity.
Drive safely!
Thanks, Steve
You are most welcome
Thanks for the great video. Could you please make a video about the intersection of sevenoaks street and williams street. The one where you are on seven oaks street and turning left or right. cheers
Great suggestion! I will put that on the list. I am publishing a new one for Cannington in the next few days anyway.
The worst spot to make a right turn is Station Street + Albany HWY Beckenham.
I see people queuing up and waiting forever to make their turn. Maybe good idea to turn left and make u turn down the road.
Agreed! I see a lot of drivers getting stuck there
I hate this intersection, some cars from the main road will speed into the turn before you realise they're there.
A lot of people believe they should modify that intersection

Hi Steve. Thanks for the video 😊
Just a request if you can please shoot a video for possible Kelmscott PDA routes now that most roadworks have finished.. are there any particular tricky points where students may normally make mistakes?
I have my test coming up in Kelmscott in two weeks and I’m getting quite nervous 😬
You are most welcome. I have one lined up, hopefully finishing in the next few days
@@DrivingSchoolWA Thank you Steve!
0:11 i though you only give way to cars on the right? Can you explain to me why you gave way to the car on your left?
Not in this situation because I am turning on the main road. Terminating road (where I am) must give way to both directions, even when somebody is turning right off the main road from Your left side.
@@DrivingSchoolWA thank you!
@@DrivingSchoolWAalso is this the only scenario when you give way to cars on the left?
T-Junctions can be dangerous but do it carefully and safely all of the time
👍
I wish you could teach me to drive
If Divider width is not more than 1 feet then how to take right turn in busy traffic. In India divider is very narrow
Here in Victoria, whilst staying out of the right lane for faster traffic can be appropriate etiquette. The road safety act only requires drivers to keep left unless overtaking where the speed limit is above 80km/h, and/or where signposted. The rules do change from time to time so perhaps I am out of date on this, is this what is legally required in WA also?
Unfortunately not. There is no fast lane rule in WA, and drivers are not very courteous. If you get on a 5-lane freeway, you will often see 4 right lanes occupied by slow drivers who sometimes drive 30 km per hour less than the allowed speed. Thanks for your feedback!
Hey again, so i have a couple of questions.
How many different types of intersections are there?
How many types of lanes are there?
How do i know which lanes i can turn into if there are no signals/markings?
I have an answer :resit your liscence 😂
Hi Steve, really love your videos it’s been really helpful! I’ve got a quick question, whenever you are turning into a new street and there is no speed limit sign nearby, will it be okay for me to drive at 50 limit until i see a speed sign or will i get marked down for that? Thanks in advance!
That is correct. Default speed is 50 unless stated otherwise. Thanks a lot for the feedbak!
Cheers!
You can't pull out on to a 70kph road doing 50kph you will get in trouble for that if you don't cause an accident. Just a shame that you can pull on to a road and not know the speed limit until you come across a sign.
Why were you giving way to the car at the left in the start, sorry, i dont understand.
because you are turning into their lane meaning you will block their lane, so you need to let them go first if they indicate that they are turning right before you turn
I certainly hope you dont have a license
at the refuge lane should you signal left? or continue to keep the original right signal?
No, keep the right indicator
Hey mate is there a fee after you pass the PDA to receive the Provisional license?
Yes $50 mate 👍
@@yoda7876 Oh cool cheers.
