Some facts about Jeff Lynne (ELO)...First, he is a very humble man, simply because this Music Genius is not interested in fame, the limelight, and money, he just loves to create great music. Jeff Lynne is one of the most versatile musicians ever, this is why he is considered by his peers to be among the greatest. He didn't stick to one style of music because, after decades, it gets boring. Jeff has done progressive Rock, Symphonic Rock - Pop, New wave, and Disco. Everything he does turns to gold. He even flirted with Country music. From 1972 to 1986 (During 14 years) Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra has had more top 40 hits than any other group in the world... 51 years later they still play in sold-out Arenas, festivals and Stadiums. During Jeff Lynne's ELO 2019 Tour, many reviews agreed in saying they are the best live Classic Rock Band in the world still touring and Jeff Lynne is a Music Genius( From Forbes Magazine and the Washington Post). ELO is in the Rock Hall of Fame. Lynne is on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Birmingham Walk OF Fame. Jeff Lynne’s ELO won the Best Classic Rock Band plus Lynne won the best Songwriter award ( ASCAP ) in 2019 for his fantastic contribution over the years. In October of 2020, Jeff Lynne has been made an officer of The Order Of The British Empire for his extraordinary contribution to music. He previously has received three Ivor Novello Awards, which celebrate songwriters and composers, including the award for outstanding services to British music. He created the best Super Group of all time with his best friend George Harrison, The Traveling Wilburys. The Legends in the Music Industry call Jeff Lynne the best overall Musician ever and a Producer Extraordinaire. Jeff Lynne has written and produced many hit songs for music legends like George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Bryan Adams, Aerosmith, Del Shannon, the Everly Brothers, The Beatles, and so many others...In June 2023 Jeff Lynne was inducted in The Songwriters Hall Of Fame ❤👍💯

Honestly, I love the whole time from 1976-1984. Best new wave, too.
70's. Great decade for music but hollow in comparison to the mid/late 60"s. It all started there, sorry, not even close.
@@tomlambro2433 Actually it started in the early 50's. My older sisters agree with you, because that's what they grew up with. For us, it was the 70's and my wife say's the 80's ruled.
I was into ELO when I was a teenager and they were a new band. Do Ya was and still is my all time favorite ELO song!!
JUST HEARD THIS LIVE LAST NIGHT IN SAN JOSE...BRILLIANT!!! WHAT A ROCKER! WHAT LYRICS! TRIPPY...WHAT A LIGHT SHOW...DO YA DO YA DO YA WANT ANOTHER SHOW? MORE PLEASE, SIR!
Love this song! And the opening is one of the best openings of any song.
My Mom bought me “A New World Record” for Christmas when I was in college, GREAT gift
Do Ya is one of my favorite E.L.O. songs. I’m a guitarist and I know great music when I hear it. E.L.O. is the best !!
Jeff Lynne surely had one of the most soulful powerful voices in rock and pop history.
This is the musical expression of pure, raw passion. I've loved it since I first got the vinyl.
1976, 10 years old, summer days at the public pool, swimming under water, pulling the bow ties on the Yamnitz twins bikini tops, getting brown & blond from the sun, Marathon Bars & Watermelon Jolly Rancher stix from the snack counter, 3 mile up & down hill bike ride home, dinner, sweet tea, catching fire flies, ice cream & late night B movies, bed time. . . up mid morning & do it again.
Somebody else who knows a Marathon bar. I think we are the only two In the country.
Quick Carl knows.... ha remember that?
One of my favorites... a Marathon bar.
Tim Parker Oh hell ya! Who can forget the Yamnitz twins! Double your pleasure double yer fun. Know what I'm sayin???
Tim Parker chills.
Perhaps the greatest bridge in any song ever. Good days growing up when this was on the radio every day.
The game changer
What a fantastic song.
KartKing4ever PRISON MIKE
This sounds like Fox on the run by Sweet!
@@jacklyndonovan4701 or maybe Fox sounds like this song. The song was first recorded in 1971 by The Move, Jeff Lynne's former band. Fox came out in 76.
I'm 58
Hi, me again. Feeling this pretty hard right about now. And to future me, just do the math and you'll remember why.

One badass song.
You can create magic like this, when you have raw talent and can actually read music
Jeff Lynn is a great song writer and guitar player with awesome tone! Great vocals with use of the cellos and violins.
