Bought mine several years ago for $340 from Jomashop. It’s gotten lots of use and the polished bezel is all scuffed and dinged, but I love this watch. I’ve taken it swimming , hiking, vacations, daily work, evening out…it goes with everything, everywhere. I generally find field watches boring so really appreciate the day-date complication. This is a watch for life.
I like the day/date at the top. I retired two years ago and, now being much depressurized, I sometimes have to check on which day of the week I am repeating (like the movie Groundhog Day - they all tend to be similar).
i have 3 Hamilton watches, the black face mechanical Hamilton i have i wear every day, because i love having to wind it by hand. i feel closer to the watch having to mess with it every morning. thanks for the video.
I honestly love Hamilton watches; especially field watches. Like many other people my only issue is the water resistance. Being marketed as a field watch has always led me to believe in there durability. I shy away from anything with 5 bars. The khaki king is my favorite watch in there line up, but again I can’t get over that glaring weakness. If it ever changes it would be the only watch I’d own. I’d sell my G shocks and every other watch I’m my collection and only have a king on my wrist. Hamilton if you can hear me for the love of God add 5 more bars.
I liked this watch very much but I have a 8inch + wrist and the 40mm got me thinking that it might be looks too small on my wrist. How is your long term opininons on this one ?
I prefer this to the Field. The dial on the field being smaller looks a little too busy and cluttered. Also the wider polished bezel on the King makes it pop more with a bit of an Explorer vibe. Just subtly classier and better proportioned IMHO. Enjoy🙂
At the time of shooting the video I had only worn once. I've now worn it a couple more times and yes the size is on the smaller side of what I prefer, but looks great and is comfortable

I am a fan as well, went with the Champagne dial myself, just kept going back to that color so I grabbed it.

What an amazing watch, the day function is actually what i still like the most. Have you thought on putting on a brown leather bracelet on it?
Literally just got the watch. Showed the unboxing on my main channel. I'll eventually explore some other options
