Laura, my 4 year old granddaughter has been asking for sewing lessons. Six months ago when she turned 4 I started the first lesson. We made a Tumbler block doll quilt! I was so happy to see your tutorial this morning on the same block! I never thought to use the tumbler going in the same direction. I will have to give it a try on my next scrap busting quilt. Thank you so much! I watch your tutorials every week.
I thought she turned 41 and you finally started her sewing lessons!
You did it again. Always wanted to do a tumbler quilt. Your instructions are great as usual. Thank you
I made this tumbler quilt with holiday fabric and LOVE it! Then I quilted it using your Fail Poof Way to Quilt Your Quilt. It was simpler than I thought it would be and much prettier! Thank you! I have learned so much from just watching a short while!
You are wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing so much of yourself with us "out here." I have been at quilting since I was 14 and carried a box of Sunbonnet Sue blocks around that summer. My G'ma began these 3 quilts in the early 1930s; the quilt tops were given to each of the daughters for Christmas 1983 -- yes, 50 years. Some quilts take much longer than others, but it is so worth it. Stay safe and well, so we can "come on back next time." As ever, in stitches, pj stitches!
Another great video! Thank you SEW much! I hope people realize how much time & effort goes into making a video! I want you to know that you are very much appreciated! I look forward every video you make! Stay safe my friend!
Thank you very much and I love making and producing the videos :-)

Just started cutting tumblers. This tutorial was very good! Thank you so much!
What a great scrap buster! Much better than just squares. Thank you for the tutorial ☺️
This is my "go to" pattern for a baby quilt. Just need one charm pack and some yardage for the borders. I have made several of them, always a big hit with the recipients!
Great tutorial. I want to make placemats out of this pattern.
I have the set of tumbler templates from Missouri Star Quilt Company, and have made several of these quilts . Amazing scrap buster.
Well said ! & well made, thank you Laura, you really are inspirational, the tips you give us are incredible xx
Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Company has a tutorial on adding sashing to the tumbler blocks. I cut out all the gingham and plaids I had to make this quilt, saw that video added the sashing. The project used up a lot of my stash and I made two donation quilts with tumblers. Thanks for the suggestion.
Another amazing tutorial ❤ thanks for teaching me so many new exciting skills 😀
oh the holiday table runner! that's it! thanks laura♥
Cute! Thank you so much! Missouri Star Quilt Co. was having a special on their Mini Tumbler Template. I purchased one, but I like the idea of those holes on the side to help them line up! That fabric pk is inspiring!
I ordered one too ...
This project is perfect!
Another awesome video I love watching them. Thank you for being so wonderful and so good at what you do. 🙂
Those charm pack fabrics are really cute. Awesome video as usual.💜
I made a quilt like this with patriotic fabric during our Covid shutdown and it turned out so cute!! I will definitely make more!!!
Another excellent tutorial. An ideal size for a NICU quilt..Thank you 😁
Thank you for this tutorial! 😊
Thanks for taking the time to show and explain !
That was interesting. I like when the tumblers make the hourglass shape, the other way hurt my eyes. TFS.😊 💖 👍
Super cute! I am going to have to get that template and try to make one of these. I have tons of 6" squares so that won't be a problem.
Wow Laura such great ideas and so simple too. I am truly inspired by the tumbler shape. Getting started already. Much love from Durban, South Africa.
That is so cute, I have a couple I made with left over Canada fabric, I love them, I have one on the speak now, all ready for July 1st.
Thank you, I must get this template. I love your fabric. Thanks for sharing 😁❤️
Very nice tutorial, but I’d cut the tumbler block as close to the edge of the 5” as possible and therefore get a larger and so more versatile off cut. But that’s just my preference. Your quilt turned out charming.
Another great video. I have 5 inch squares and was looking for something to do with them. Thanks
Great video! Such a fun block!
How are you getting the small holes in the fabric. ??? Love the fabric also.
OOO I love that!! Such a cute quilt.
Brilliant tutorial. Thank you so much!
So pretty! Love the fabric😍💖💕
So cute!
So very cute!
So cute and easy!
I brought this can’t see the markings very good
Laura can you please tell me the size of your strips on the quilt hanging behind you . I have tried looking though your videos and am unable to find it . Thankyou .
Love the doll quilt
Mandy, Laura did a video called How to Make a True Scrappy Quilt four years ago and that is the one behind her. The scraps are all 2 inches by 3 and a half inches.

Good morning how can make template thanks
You will have to print the page out in the description section. And draw them out by hand. Or you can go to the link and buy the template if you'd like
👌👌👌
Nice thanks
The tutorial is very good. I just don’t see spending so much time on such a small quilt.
