@knighter arcane tends to have fairly stylized graphics so I wasn't expecting frostbyte engine graphics. If you've played dishonored their models are a little uncanny valley. You're right though, somehow these still got worse about a decade later. But for a shooter I'm willing to look past the graphics if the moment to moment gameplay is alright. For a few seconds there it sort of looked okay (not great but not as bad asI expected from other reviews), going from the boat to the vampire lair. Seeing how bad the AI is though, I know the gameplay won't be able to hold up.

I get that the devs were trying to go for the like, ethereal, horrifying, malnourished being for the vampire design, but honestly they just look kinda goofy, like real scraggly looking. You can take an old concept for a classic monster and play about with it to make it appealing in a real horror sense but they missed the mark. I will say though I do kinda like the instant vulnerability they give to Black Sun considering she's like the head vampire and they don't do that annoying implied "SHE'S THE BOSS SO SHE CAN'T BE KILLED" thing

Whats the point of dying in this game? You die and the missions still go on like you didnt die. Just continue on with the enemies still killed. Only thing that harms you by dying in this is the walk back to the mission. 2 hours into the video and dying has yet hindered or caused any consequences. Honestly its taken me like 3 days to get this far into the video this game seems so boring. Atleast with the Gollum becoming Sauron's warleader atleast had some interesting characters and (maybe a tiny bit of charm).

I'm guessing Arkane can make inside areas and some lighting effects look more next gen than an outside open world. This might have started as a singleplayer sim being developed around the time of deathloop, but then they had to try to fit some open world farcry coop theme in. And they really didn't enhance the ai.

If this game was $50 it would be amazing. It has awesome graphics and seamless animations. The guns are super detailed and the gameplay itself is almost flawless with almost no bugs. I’d even say it’s better than cyberpunk 2077
