I second that Cam the incremental process is one of the things I love about the channel. It gives people the idea and steps to slowly tune and mod theirs car. It shows yiu can get a little at a time and build up to your build. It's genuine and insightful, keep it up Cam! Glad you made it back safely!
Can attest that the K20Z3 is incredibly reliable. Drove mine for nearly 220K miles before selling it. Excited for the content to come. Keep it up, Cam!
I remember test driving an 8th gen si for the heck of it. Went ahead and bought one, just a really thrilling experience. I still love my 10th gen si as a daily (really good on mpg) but the 8th gen si definitely a fun weekend car esp hitting vtec. Also 8th gen si so easy to work on as well. Can't wait to see the build progress!
A traveling, road trip tip for you Cameron, or anyone whose eager to get out and travel this vast land. Anyone can go find a Truck Stop and take a Shower to freshen up while on the road or as they travel through cities to reach home. If the Truck Stop is strictly for Truckers Only, then the answer's a no; otherwise, it's free game. Just make sure you have proper supplies (Soap, Rag, Shampoo etc) One doesn't always have to just throw on another t-shirt and slather their stinky pits with their favorite deodorant. Safe Travels!
I can’t wait to see your reaction to the sound when you throw an intake on. So many great memories in this car man. I got a 2008 FG2 with 17k miles for $15,800 in 2010. Had it until 2020 with 175k. I’ve been following you for a couple years and was always looking forward to the day you’d get an 8th gen because I knew you’d love it. Tip (and I’m not sure this is up to date) change out the transmission fluid with Redline MTL and do it like every 40 k. You will grind out that transmission if it’s still running the stock fluid. Cheap and easy fix. I had mine tuned on Flashpro by Vitviper back in the day - totally changes the car with 8600 rpm redline and much less rev hang. Can’t wait to see where you go with it. Good luck!
I haven't had a Honda in a while, but I love them. My 8th gen was ran ragged with a lot of undisclosed issues and I sold it quick, but yours is a peach! I love the road trip vids and love to live vicariously through your experiences. I can't wait for the mods to start coming in! I'm def N4 it
Fellow Floridian here. Been watching you since 2020 when I got my 10th gin SI. Same as yours, just one year older. Can't wait to hearing that K20 rip with an exhaust.
Thank god you got home safely! can't wait to see the progress on the 8th gen. I own two 08 Si sedans and I love them and I bet you'll love yours in the long run.
Absolutely loved the car talk near the end of the video in the garage, with both cars in the background!! Definitely loads better than car talk in an office!! 👍👍😃😃😃😃
Even though I have fully switched over to EV’s with the Model 3 I still will always enjoy watching your videos especially these road trips ones. Keep grinding Cam, can’t wait for more videos on your cars.
I definitely agree with you on the chrome on the trunk on the refreshed 8th gens. I ended up buying a 06-08 trunk trim piece to put on my 2010 and it looks so much better. Loved this video series!
Glad you made it home safe just in time for the hurricane that looks like some heavy duty rain. Switching Vivian from a jeep to a Toyota should be a lot more reliable and a lot less problems. It was cool to see you reading some of the comments and doing the road trip videos love it. Have a great day.
Hey Cameron I still have the oem moonroof visor in case you are interested. Free of charge. The catch, you have to pick it up here in central florida.😄
I definitely miss my 8th gen. Jumped from the 8th gen to the 10th gen si then now a fk8. Glad you made it home safe! Makes me want to buy another 8th gen again.
Love the new saga! Long live 8th gen 🎉. In 2020 I was so close to buying a med used red 9th gen for $14k 60k miles, so you definitely got a deal. Curious if you see an mt6 accord in the future?
I’m so excited to see what comes next for this beauty, I’m an AP1 s2000 owner as well as an Fa5 silver 8th gen si both are full bolt on tuned, as far as which is faster, my s2k I feel like is a tad bit faster not by much because these k20s are insane !

You are by far my favorite RUclipsr! I still wish you had your 9th gen bc I have a 9th, but happy for you. I also would hate having to drive it cross country as I am an OCD level freak and would worry I'm giving it mileage or risking an accident. I live vicariously through you. For energy (not at 1am you should try White Sugar Free Monster, its amazing and has just enough taste.
I just got my 9th gen si with flashpro and ihe ...been about 2 months and I just built up my 450whp 2020 gti ..this thing is so fun to drive just how it is .I'm ordering hood risers and a fd2 AliExpress short shifter etc for dirt cheap .I should upload some videos of it .I do enjoy it
FR 3 inch is the best exhaust for these cars. First thing I did when I got mine back from Florida. No rasp and not crazy loud except in VTEC. Lot's of drone on the interstate though.
I think this car is a perfect contender for a craftworks supercharger. If you do JDM mugen RR conversion on it, I would put a craftworks supercharger on it. Look at the videos from the channel speed Academy. These guys did a conversion and supercharger on their white 8th gen SI and the car was screaming. I bet you that this car supercharged would’ve been faster than your type R. Good luck with the build.
You got nothing to worry about the crack block from 8th gen si some of it does have but yours is mint and have been drove 3k miles so yeah your all good my bro
Bro the best time to drive on a road trip is at night bro lol literally I plan my road trips to make sure I drive through the whole night it assures there is zero traffic less risk of accident and just peaceful knowing you’re the only one on the road for miles
Bro do what you have plan for it im ready who cares what the haters say I haven’t tuned my dc5 I been driving it with a spoon muffler and intake that’s it and it’s a fun car who cares about speed a daily having vtec is awesome and unique feeling btw im ready for the build 😎👏
If I lived in Florida, I'd have LHT do literally everything. Everything I've seen and heard about them is awesome. I even thought about shipping mine there lol
i remember i did the same in the only long trip driving i have made.. as soon as i saw a truck going at a fast enough speed for my taste i sticked to his back.. I wasnt feeling safe on my own
Btw Cameron I can confirm that the cracked block does and did occur in the 8th gen si configurations, I know because it happened to mine but I have a temporary fix on it by applying a cast sealant that closes up the crack , I have a k20A block from a Euro R cl7 same motor from the fd2 type r in japan, it’s chillen in my garage for when the z3 does give out I won’t have any worries but for now this k20z3 is doing just fine and cracks vtec all the way to 9k rpms

yeah it really makes sense because if he just finished the build right away, it’s like “what now?”

Truck driver here, I always get sad when it’s time for me and my cruising buddy to split ways 😂
Great story about you meeting Vivian, so cool, thanks for sharing Cam. Congratulations on the new car!
