Thank you for this video. Lately I have been listening more to wanting to improve my life. I quit smoking after 30 years cold turkey and now can’t believe I ever did that. I started walking more and last week joined a walking group and met some new people. I’m about to upgrade my living situation and I landed a new job. I’m going to try the breathing exercises and lifting something heavy. I wrote down the affirmations. I must lose weight.

You hit the nail on the head. I have consumed SO much information that I am in a state of great confusion. You can research yourself into a circle. “Experts” have opposing information, research, proof, results - it seems impossible to find the answers we are looking for. So much so that one gets overwhelmed and just gives up. That’s where I am at. I do ALL the things…seriously been down every rabbit hole and I’m no better off than when I started. If anything I feel even more hopeless. I look inside….often…but there seem to be no answers there either. It’s truly maddening. Much love and appreciation to you ❤

Dear Dr Rangan- just listening to you talk i feel so inspired and motivated. I am a practicing pediatrician in LA and i will surely share these tips with my young parents and their children. Even putting one of these tips into practice will improve the way we live and our relationships with others. Thank you so much.

I find myself absorbing conflicting information but I try to say what my father used to say to me... Listen to your body and to your specific "cravings"! As I got older and especially when my anxiety and depression started I lost that connection to my body. I'm trying again.. We have a saying in Greece which is PAN METRON ARISTON which means everything in moderation. I started homeopathy when I was 19 years old because back then it was the only way to be treated as a whole and as a symptom ❤

Great clip as always ! I have a medicine ball that I take most places, when im on the road and it's at home. There are a ton of exercises that are simple to do and I'm often picking it up during the day and tossing it around. Its a tactile object and somewhat less macho compared to dumbbells, and everyone that comes around wants to give it a go

Thankyou. I have my mini trampoline, 2sets of weights, pad and small rolling balance stand in my work entrance. To use them if a client is running late/cancels and I have time. Plus to show my clients that they can slide in exercise in little bits of time, like when they are standing in line somewhere or stopped at an intersection = stretching time.

I have an effective breathing habit and it helps me to get a better night sleep. Now, I am going to add my excercise to something I already do: I have a rebounder which is an incredible form of workout for me because I have had multiple knee surgeries and the rebounder allows me to excercise without stressing my knees and without pain. I just have trouble now doing it regularily. Today, that changes!

I'm feeling overwhelmed by all the conflicting options about health and it's making me feel more anxious and confused like you said I need to limit the amount of time I listen to you tube videos it's not good for my mental health and I need to trust my body and gut instincts more I feel we have lost trust with our own bodies wisdom

The food "experts" is problematic. Vegan experts will tell you this is the healthiest way to eat. Wholefoods, natural plant foods. Others encourage animal products or keto. For me it doesn't really matter what the carnivore experts say because I could never kill or eat animal. So within my vegan diet I am trying to find the best way for me. Should I eat gluten? Should I limit fruits, do smoothies contain fibre? should I avoid or restrict nightshade vegetables... and on and on. Some say soya is one of the best foods out there (natural tofu or soya milk) others say it causes all sorts of problems. So yes, I AM looking for that expert I can trust. The one with the evidence, the tried and tested type of evidence. There is one thing everyone agrees on, that is that processed food, junk food, refined sugar , is a no no.. then you see Donald Trump full of energy and good health seemingly eating McDonald's daily!!! I do like to listen to people with knowledge and experience though, of course I do. Getting to the truth is much harder.

  • @paulamoors

Way of life and eating. Can’t listen to them anymore. I am working on being vegan 100% because I know that’s what my heart wants. Actually it’s more whole food plant based with the ethical part of being vegan thrown in.
