Great idea putting the tapestry with forest scene over ramp door! I am going to do that to our toy hauler. Love the momentum 21g, we are looking at them for our next rv. Thanks for posting, nice video!
I don't usually comment on videos but I thought you all did a great job. I'm in the market for a 21g and you have the only personal review of the camper that I can find. All others are the sales pitch. Great ideas on mods. I'd like to see additional videos on the mods you made, particularly the solar. (1st time RVer, never owned or even been inside a camper other than to shop for one).
I have been trying to figure out our internal fuel gauge for the past year. Your video really helped! Where your switch is, ours controls the rear awning. I think they forgot to add a switch for the gauge. At least I know what it's supposed to look like. Thanks!
Not sure how to share, but just look up " Wall Tapestry" and so many appear. We have 4 bigger magnets, you can find them on Amazon as well. Just need a strong enough magnet to hold the curtain up, which is not very heavy. Hope this helps!
My wife and I like this floorplan. However, she doesn't like the lack of a linen closet in the bathroom. Where do you store your towels etc? Could a cabinet be installed above the toilet? Great video, thanks!
I know the feeling, the only real storage closet is in the bedroom, which is where we store our towels. BUT I think there may be enough space over the toilet to put in a cabinet, just might bump your head from time to time.
I've seen people add towel racks in the bathroom. We just put the towels we are using on hooks and keep the clean ones in the cabinets next to the bed.
Great video! I recently purchased a 21G as well and found your video very helpful in the process. What size TV did you mount in the bedroom and what TV mount did you use? Thanks!
This is on our shortlist for next RV however there are 3 things holding me back so maybe you can comment. 1, need for 2 sewer hoses and where to store 2, you have to crouch down under the slide to get to your controls for water, sewer and satellite. 3, the bed slide requires the mattress to fold so your sleeping on a seam. Thanks.
HI there. So #1 I believe we only have one hose, but there is a storage tube under the camper-Hubby might be better to explain this.... 2. Yes, when the bedroom slide is open you do have to crouch down, but it doesnt seem to bother us much as you are only there for a few minutes at a time. BTW: the generator under the bed was a concern of ours, but once you are laying there, you really don't notice the gene running, kinda lulls you to sleep. Also, no fumes EVER smelled inside the bedroom, as some have mentioned. 3. the bed was horrible when we purchased, but we bought a temperpedic mattress to put on top. It does fold nicely when the slide comes in. Pretty comfortable bed now, but it could be better. I love this camper, it has everything you need and more than enough space, more than enough water/waste room, perfect camper! Good Luck to you!
No need for 2 sewer hoses. Just switch the connection to dump one or the other. I do carry an extension just in case. There's a tube mounted in the back to hold the hoses. Crouching down under the slide isn't an issue. There's really no need to be screwing around in there that often. The bed is an issue. The mattress sucks for sure. We put a thick topper on it and it's better but I will be raising the offset in the base and getting a new mattress soon
3. folding mattress is bad. We did cover it with 2 inch memory foam mattress with limited success. We are seeking for a more confortable option. Regular mattress plus Ridgid styrofoam to.offset height is something we are thinkg of but has its drawback . Biggest issue with the rv so far.
Great video. Thanks very much! Seems exactly what we’re looking for, but was curious how it tows. Doable for a first time RVer with a half ton truck? Thanks again
Would you consider doing a really short video showing the 21G with all the slides in? I just want to get an idea of what the living space would be like for very short overnighters where I didn't want to go through the hassle of extending everything. I imagine I could sleep on the couch or the bunkbed. Is there room in the front to put a small twin mattress (when the queen mattress is folded up and put away?).
There is only one slide on the 21G. Bedroom. Even when the slide is in, you can still maneuver around the bed just fine. The 21Gs are wide and tall in the living area.
@@VanGoWanderlust so the bed does fold over when the slide is in. so no stealth camping with this one. no way to use the bed without the slide out. you could sleep elsewhere in the camper tho.
It's an F250 diesel. I wouldn't even consider a half ton. It's a heavy little camper. loaded the tongue weight was 1600 lbs. The truck has airbags also
@@redkatana7450 My F150 with max tow does fine with it. The one thing I would say is don't pull it full of water and fuel unless you have a toy in the back. Grand Design told me that these are designed front heavy with the expectation that there would be something heavy in the back to offset. My Harley weight in the back offsets the weight of the fluids. Otherwise I would exceed my max hitch weight with the 1600 lbs mentioned. Also make sure you use a weight distribution hitch. Fords already have sway control, but if you don't make sure your hitch has a sway control bar. I wouldn't spend the money on a new truck quite yet.
@@jeffreylea4265 Thank you for the info, appreciate it. I have a '17 Titan 2WD, max tow is 9740, my bike is a >400 lb sport bike so not that heavy. I just don't like towing anywhere near max so likely I'm going to stay on the safe side and look at a lighter hauler, but man, I really like the GD's interior.
Amazon. We have several different ones, just depends on where we go. We hang them with 4 magnets that stick at the top, which remain even when curtain is down.
No issues at all, I believe they came this way or my husband may have opted for a 2nd battery. I will have him respond, so he can give accurate info. Thanks!
Great Review. What I can't under stand is why these RV producers never add the rear door height (opening). Would be great to know if your rig would fit. It's usually not a width issue but one of height. With the bed and seats raised there doesn't seem to be seem to be much height left. Would you know what the height from floor to bottom of raised bed & seats is? Thanks Again Steve
Hey there. I believe if the chairs are on the side of the camper, than our total height clearance is somewhere around 86 inches. We easily store a lifted golf cart and 4 wheeler with no problem. We recently looked into a Honda Pioneer 1000-5 and it stood well under that, so this would fit as well.
@@adventuresofolivethechoad4944 "a lifted golf cart and four wheeler" fit in there at the same time? If so then 2 four wheelers should fit no problem right?. Thanks for the vid you did a fantastic job!
Just curious. Looks like you are pulling that with an F-250. I have a 2012 ram 1500 with the V8 hemi and a tow package and rear load levelers. Do you think it could handle that trailer?
I tow this trailer with my 07 Tundra with airbags. It reached the limits of the truck in terms of safe drivability. I did measure the tongue weight and it was 1240 pounds with empty fresh/grey/black tanks but with propane (40 pounds). Don’t load your truck’s bed.
Love the pegboard idea, pick mine up soon and will be doing the same!!

Loved your pegboard in the ext storage, and your weather station. Looks like a great rig. One that we are heavily considering. Thanks for the video.
Cool idea to cover back wall ! Like u seating in jungle 🔥👍
Very Cool little home. We could use that in case of hurricane with the built generator, unless the trailer gets blown away.
They did a great job designing that model, looks nice
Thank you for making this video. Really helps out on what additions you and incorporated and why! :-)

Good video, do you remember the kind of TV bracket you used in the bedroom? Seams like the backing plate is way small.
Great review!! Thanks for posting!!!!!
Where did you get the pic to cover the ramp when it’s up?
I love the tapestry 👍. Please Can you tell me what it is and how to hang it ? Thank you very much 👍😊
You can buy these on Amazon. We hang them with magnets, which stay on the garage door even when the curtain is down.

we put 6 towels on top of the mirror cabinet. It stays there even when travelling (not falling!)

This is a question for my other half, I will be back in touch.
so TV in bedroom is the same size as the one in the living room. In regard to the mount, nothing special, purchased from amazon.
Do you have a backup camera? I noticed you backed that in really quick. That weather station looks awesome in there.
No back up camera. We camp every weekend, so I guess just practice makes perfect.:)j. Weather Statin is a must!
Thanks for the vid. Can you tell me the clearance under the rear benches/bed when it's in the up position?
76” I own the same trailer and was concerned if my RZR w/ 32” tires would fit. It clears, but it is close.
Thank you for the video. It helped a lot as we are looking at the same one.
Glad it was helpful!

Yes it does, just no brackets. You have to buy that separately.
Where did you get the back for the back ramp.
Amazon. Look up hanging wall tapestry and it should come up. we hav several different ones to use, depending on local:)
How did you do that peg board? I got a 21G and want to do the same thing.
cut a piece of peg board and put a 1 x 1 Frame behind it. Screwed peg board to frame.
