The much-awaited EA SPORTS WRC UPDATE 1.90 has come with some meh news. My expectations were not very high but neither this low. Hoping for a brighter future. EA SPORTS please make this game into what it needs to be. 🙏

How to buy a game 2024: The game releases. The game is in alpha state. You wait half a year and buy the game in a sale for a third or fourth of the price. The game is in beta state. You let the game sit in the library for another half a year. If you're lucky the game gets to a semi decent state where you can play and enjoy it (or in case of Cyberpunk, you wait 4 years :D). Btw I fully blame the people who pre-order or buy these buggy messes on day one. Every single one of you is the problem. You give them money for broken and unreleased games. Why would they make a good product after it? They would be stupid to do it any other way. I'm sure people already have their wallets ready to pre-order the next WRC Rally game from EA because surely that one will be better.

While I 100% agree with your comment, I don't think this game was a financial success. At least not what EA had hoped for. I fear this might be the end of Codemasters and rally games as a whole, at least for a while.
The interest for WRC is at an all time low, and now we don't have any dedicated rally devs left it seems. It's not looking good for rally fans
I bought it for €19, but only played that shit for 42m, trying VR.
Most have forgotten that with DR 2.0 it was nearly the same for the first year !!
@@randomguestobserving6071 I don't know, I only buy games 6 months+ after release :) so I did with EA WRC. Spent a whopping 15$ on it, 8 months after it came out. Still in a very poor state. It's a good game at the core, that's why I'm upset (if it's bad I just don't care). I can't understand why they don't invest a little more time and make it a finished product. Without texture streaming issues and crashing/stuttering issues, with stable vr performance etc. I would rather spend 60$ for a complete experience instead 15$ for the game as it is now you know.
I prefer WRC over DR2 anyday. Dr2 is quite simply dull in comparison but hey each to their own. I'm having a blast with EA WRC.
Me too! But as you said, DR2.0 has a few things that WRC doesn't have, and vice versa.
At first I was dissapointed by WRC as the visual style just seemed so much better in DR2, but after a while you realise WRC is much better in gameplay, stages and car selection. The dust trails too, wow!
I really Wish that they fix the camera views in clubs,that you can lock it on only incamera view,now when every view can be used its really hard too keep up with hood cam riders on bad weather.. i only drive incar and have always done that👍 my thoughts on the other camera view is thats not rally😉
Yeah it's a good point. Having one camera for everybody during club championships should be normal, otherwise it is not that fair.
@@noxnovaYT in dirt you could lock camera views in clubs👍 but lets hope they figure this out in future for EA wrc it would make it more fair rallying

Vr is broken, there is a virtual tv in the right eye that show the pov . It follow the head movement. It block the right hand side of the right eye.
Like there is a 30" TV suspended on the central mirror that block the view.
They also messed up Mediterraneo again...Normally, I have around 100-120 fps with everything set on Ultra. Today when I was passing through the village in Mediterraneo the frames dropped to 40....and I was also in a Championship. 🙂

The pace notes on DR2.0 were horrendous. This patch seems to still carry many issues unfortunately. Hopefully this patch is just a small one in preparation for a big one later in the year

Least isnt bad as WRC8 which is lowest standard

Great video. I personally don’t like the overexposure on certain tracks and the rain and snow effect are a disgrace in this game. I agree that the inconsistent obstacles on the tracksides are pretty annoying!
Totally agree! On Mexico the overexposure is so bad that you can't even take photos with motion blur, as see in the video...

yeah unreal engine bollocks, VR was possible in DiRT Rally 1.0 in 2015 but not in 2024 with a 5000 euro PC

Ea sports wrc is not in the best state at the moment, but it's definitely better than any other wrc title thats made by kylotonn(like wrc9 wrc10 wrc generations)
I played it for 30 minutes a few years ago but something did not feel right. The graphics were good, detailed maps but the ff and the control was odd compared to Dirt Rally 2.0. But not gonna lie, I was thinking about giving it a try again just to make a difference between EA WRC and the other WRC games.

Now with the 1.9.0 update it wasn't the best time to buy the game, but I'm hoping it will get better soon.
Unreal shit VR engine, that´s the problem! It will never be fixed. Anyway, is no simulator, just an arcade game.
I think the controls and the FF is quite realistic compared to the other WRC games or Dirt Rally 2.0
