Thank you for this education Dr Balduzzi.
Great video and very thoughtful.. Thank you for sharing with great explanation, I am going to share this tips with my friends.
How clear and concise👍🏻👏thank you!
Awesome ! So much helpful information again from Fit Father Project on Vitamin D , this time i have my pen and note book ready, let's move on !
I think this is one of the best and thoughtful video! Thank you for sharing!
Your video are always fun and educative, I appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge with us
this is really very useful information. i will definitely pass on this video to all my colleagues. keep up your good work.
Thank you for this information. You were clear about safe amounts to supplement and clear about the level to reach toxicity. Please provide similar information for vitamins A, C, E and K, along with addressing the B complex issue. Most doctors seem to fear vitamin overdoses more than obesity, yet every elderly person who enters the hospital seems to be diagnosed with a vitamin deficiency of some sort.
This was so helpful. You should do a video with your a few vitamin d supplements you recommend..
another insightful one! I love knowing the specifics like this.
I agree - these videos are super helpful!
Been wondering about this and this video answered the question perfectly, thanks for sharing this doc!
Back to your old copy paste I see
Thanks! I was doing research on this a couple months ago and found only conflicting information about recommended D3 intake
Check Dr berg.
Valuable information...Thanks for adding this video?
Very informative,i am amazed i came across this, i will recommend to my friends.
Thanks for the information, very interesting.
Very informative content from beginning to end. I have learned a lot. Thanks for sharing.

Good info! Thanks for the great vid was very informative
Never realized this about my daily d3 intake. Thanks for the info!
I wasn't aware that anything like Vitamin D3 can be too much but after watching this video I have got sufficient information on how much should be my daily intake. Thanks a lot for the video.
Good video. Learned something new I didn't know about Vitamin D3 when I woke up. Will definitely be taking an overview look at my vitamin intake after seeing this
Health is wealth so keep advising. thanks
I never knew about vitamin D3! I learn something new today. This was a great video. You are so knowledgeable. I always learn something new!
like ur presentation of the research results. super clear and useful info bro, thanks
Great video, thank you very much! :)
It is really crucial to get all vitamins and minerals to keep your body fluids nice and healthy!!! Thanks for the information!! Awesome video as per usual.
I have always wondered on which and how much vitamins is should take. Thanks for clarifying.
I always had taken 1000IU chewable vitamin D every day and surprisingly still had a vitamin d deficiency! I always wonder how much of vitamin d is toxic, finally got the answer today. thank you doctor!
Very useful information!
A very good video...As an older guy, I take 10,000 iu per day, but also take D3 with K2 to divert the D from soft tissues. Add some Zinc and Magnesium as well. When you get older, you need to add more, as you don't metabolize it as much. Also, if you have no gallbladder there is not as much bile to process the fat element.
It all depends on age, condition, etc. Get your blood levels checked first.
Thank you 😊
@@Fitfatherproject No worries...You may also want to check out the information regarding recent clinical trials completed in Spain regarding the effectiveness of Vitamin D. These were valid controlled trials, not random.
Thanks for the information, i didnt know any of that. Interesting :)
Thanks for more info on D3!
You will reach toxicity range if you take high d3 in liquid form combined with high calcium intake. Other than that, if you do not have serious stomach issues, you should be fine with 5000-10000IU (pill) per day.
well this is the information i was looking for long time thanku sir
Thank you Dr for the great info! Really nice looking shirt! Is it for sale on your website?

It was really a great topic to learn. Vitamin D3 is really very essential for all ages of people. Thanks Dr. A. for making a video on vitamin D3.
I take 5,000 IU and I feel great.
Thank you so much for this. I was so confused.
You're very welcome 🙏
Thank you so much for the information.
You're very welcome 👍🏼
Thank you! This vid helped a lot.
You're very welcome 🙏
Thanks for this great explanation! I take 1000 IU of vitamin D3 every day and I've always worried it was too much. It's good to know it's in the safe dosage range. I can't imagine people taking 40,000-60000 IU a day, that's pretty crazy!
You are taking 1000 IU Vitamin d3 daily
IMO, anything under 10K per day is safe for the vast majority of adults. I've heard of one OD by a person taking 50,000 per day for several months.
I take 5000 IU every 3 days
Is taking 60,000 IU but on weakly basis is a safe option?
@@anindyanarayansingh7896 did you get eyes twitching?
D3 Should be taken with K2 to keep the calcium the correct levels in your tissues

Thank you for information.

You're very welcome 🙏
I didn't really know how much was too much vitamin D3. I knew too little could cause issues. Thanks for the info
Great info. I take 10,000 IU daily. My value is 50.0 ng/mL. I have my blood work done every year with a physical. Before I started taking the 10,000 IU, my levels were 17 ng/mL. Solgar has a 10,000 IU in a single softgel.
David Korr
What type of D3 did you take? Is it the “cholecalciferol” which is extracted from sheep wool.
@@thinkcat01
Yes. It is cholecalciferol.
@@Omnicient. Different boards recommend different recommendations. But they all range from 4000 to 10,000 being safe. I heard of a guy taking 4000ui for a year and still being deficient.
Good luck on your kidney bro
@@jackcarmona6658 lmao 🤣
Thank you for this tip. Know I know I have to reduce my intake of vitamin D3.
Yup. In past 3 weeks I take D³ morning and night, now I stopped I have to consult first my doctor.
Thanks Doc!
You're very welcome Brother 👍🏼
very informative, thankyou
You're very welcome 🙏
I am 73 years old, supplementing since about 4 years daily 14.000 iU of Vitamin D3 + K2 + Magnesium - and my tested D3-level is 83,5 ng/ml. No problems at all and I am in best shape without any flu or cold since about 4 years. In my opinion the recommended daily intake of only some thousand iU is too less to gain remarcable effects - esp. in regard to cancer, breast-cancer and prostate prevention.
👍
Thank you
@@glennusher4160 - "14,000 a day? Way too much." - My actual (13.01.2022) D3-level is 86 ng/ml. So why should 14.000/day be too much, in your opinion, when my level is absolutely top class? But surely 14.000 a day could be too much for a guy in his 30s - but not for a guy of my age (74) and of my weight (95 kg).
@@joachimortenburger4026 still too much. A gorilla doesn't even need that much.
Is there a pill with all three???
Awesome info as always, thanks.
Just a simple question of anyone who might know;
does the 37° latitude line thingy ascribe to the southern hemisphere as well?
Yes it does apply to southern too. The data suggests that it’s only really a big problem during the winter months though.
Just the information I needed. Thank you.
You're very welcome Brother 👍🏼
@@Fitfatherproject hahaha... It's sister, but I'll take it. So nice of you to respond. Taking some b12 and d3, and I feel better so, not sure, but I think I needed them both. I got shots of b12 under doctors presc, till I moved a few years ago, and have been an inside girl for years, so not a sun seeker. 1000 IUs daily of D3 is my current dose. Your video helped me to make the choice to get back on both supplements, so thanks again.
You're very welcome Sister 😊 Thanks for sharing your journey 🙏
Good work very useful
Thank you very much 👍🏼
Possibly adding in here when would be the best time to take it .. with food, without food, morning, evening, etc
Hey SG, thanks for the suggestion. Vitamin D is fat-soluble so taking it with meals is important, specifically with a meal that contains fat. Being fat-soluble means that the intake of fat helps your body absorb the nutrient. As far as morning vs. night, there isn't enough evidence to suggest one is better than the other. Since taking it consistently is the most important thing, taking it in the morning with your breakfast is ideal as the routine usually triggers people to remember!
-The FFP Team
SomeGuy never take at night before bed cos it blocks melatonin which helps us sleep, take at breakfast with fat
Actually Vitamin D3 can make you sleepy, ALWAYS take it with some food at night.
@@Fitfatherproject Scrap that last question it needed to be made appropriate! What was required to get your "doctorate" in Naturophy? Where is it from?
This video about vitamin D3 was great! I learned a lot new things and definitely recommend checking it out.
How much do you get paid to make these comments?
Great information now in 2021!

Yeah my doctor said I was d3 efficent but this helps alot because I go overboard
i'm taking 40 000 IU 5 days per week and when i did the tests my results were in normal range.
i have a capsule of 200.000IU and was looking for answers. thanks for the video. im gonna change that and get a tablet of 1k per day.
Have to take vitamin k2 with it to avoid calcification toxicity
Taking 50,000 IUs of d3 with double dosages of k2 in mk4 and Mk7. 30 days. Will switch to 10,000 ius after
Thanks a lot doctor
You're very welcome 🙏
Thanks for info! Should we’ve taking Vitamin D2 or D3. Isn’t Isn’t K2 an important supplement to take along with Vitamin D (2 and 3)? Many videos talk about Vit D but no mention of K2 to support the effectiveness of Vitamin D.
Hey SRhodes, thanks for writing in and great questions! Vitamin D2 is cheaper to produce so is found much more often in fortified foods. It is also found more in plant foods and if following a more comprehensive diet as we recommend, you will be getting plenty of plant foods! Vitamin D3 is synthesized through your skin and is much harder to get through your diet as the majority of us don't get enough of it from the most plentiful source: the sun. So we would recommend placing a higher emphasis on D3. Regarding Vit K2/D, they work in tandem to help with the absorption of calcium, not necessarily to help with the absorption of each individually. Plus, once again, if following our recommendations, you will be getting abundant Vitamin K through spinach so you should be covered in all aspects!
-The FFP Team
nice video
So, then 5000 IU's a day of vitamin D3 as (cholecalciferol) is safe ?
Hey AC, thanks for writing in. We recommend taking Vitamin D3 at about 5,000IU daily for 2 months, then dropping it down to 1,000-2,000IU/day for more maintenance levels moving forward. We don't recommend taking the 5,000IU daily continuously though if you did, you'd probably be safe as you'd need 40,000IU+ daily to reach toxicity levels. But at the end of the day, speaking with your doctor is your safest bet when it comes to supplementation.
-The FFP Team
I've been taking 400 IU's of D3 daily prior to viewing your video. Does this mean I need to increase my intake to 1000 IU's daily or somewhere in the middle like 2500 IU's daily?
I have a level of 26 ng/ml of Vitamin D (the minimum sufficient is (30ng/ml).
At the pharmacy they give me 600 I.U. to take, telling me that is the most I can take.
Plus Vitamin D supplement diminishes the effect of thyroid medication that I take. so I guess I have to rise them as well to take vitamin D. How much is the minimum to raise your level to like 50ng/ml at least? Do I have to talk with the endocrinologist for Vitamin D advice??
I disagreed with the value of 20-30ng/ml as efficient.
I think you have to get to at least 30ng/ml to be considered efficient.
If by efficient you meant that you be just enough to keep you function somewhat normally then it’s ok.
But if you meant to be healthy and striving then it would be around the range of 40-50ng/ml
Around 60 mg/ml have been found to keep you cancer free.
Some people are taking 1,000 to 2,000 iu per day and still get cancer because their blood vitamin D level is not high enough. They need to find out then take a higher amount of vitamin D such as 5,000 to 10,000 iu per day to get to the 60ng/ml.
It's probably not a good idea for someone with high metabolism to take suppliments because it messed me up a little, even only taking 5000 IU a day, I feel nauseous, had a slight feeling of not getting all that oxygen in my lungs, and hallucinated a dark flash once that look like a nerve connection of brain cells that lasted for 2-3 full seconds, I think people with high metabolisms were just not meant to take them, because even my father has high metabolism, took vitamin c pills and even that messed him up similarly to mine, the thing was that I felt perfectly healthy before, but I did get worried that I was taking too little for my body.
The first 2 days after taking the pills, my excrements were more solidified, and then reverted back like how it was prior before that after 3-4 days, then noticed overdose symptoms, I haven't noticed any more improvements when taking the pills, not even enlightened mood, I even thought that "oh I'm not just upset, I just vitamin d deficient", now I truely know it is an underlying problem of emotions I experience from other people.
I do not know if this is concrete proof for people that have high metabolisms that have this issue specifically, but maybe if you're a person with high metabolism or someone you know has one or maybe potentially give info to other people, it might be considerable info.
can i take d3 1000 iu / day for one month ....just to keep healthy...
I'm steady at 95 ng/ml taking 10000 IU a day with k2
Thank you you're 👌 awesome
You're very welcome Virgil 🙏
The schedule I follow is 15,000 I U a day in December , January and February. 10,000 IU March ,April and May . 5,000 IU June , July , and August. In September I start the increase back to 10, 000 IU through November. This has kept my blood levels at 60ng. A long with vitamin D3 I take 200 mcg of vitamin k2 which takes the calcium out of the arteries and moves it into the bones. This works well for me at my age and fat level in NE Ohio.
However, everyone should have their vitamin D level check with a blood test alone with their annual checkup.
👍
But how much do you weigh? I’m still trying to figure out my magic dose..
Can you take vitamin d3 with vitamin k2 or
Should it be taken with
Vitamin k2
Magnesium
Calcium
Watch dr Eric berg.
His the dr to watch. He has so many information on vit d3 and k2 zinc all
The chart that shows countries amount of D3 sure is interesting... :D And the fact its cause we're inside and not getting enough sunlight. :D lololol
Been taking D3 6 months. I am 70. No more terrible sweating or breathlessness. RSA
🙌
Should you also take vitamin k2 with D3? I have high anxiety so how much should I take...do you ever read these comments?
Hey Diane, thanks for writing in and great question! You sure can take both together as they work really well in tandem. Vitamin D helps with blood calcium levels while Vitamin K helps ensure proper calcification in your bones, as well as ensures too much isn't built up in your soft tissue. So taking them together is a great way to reap benefits all around.
-The FFP Team
My doctor prescribed me 60k iu vitamin d3 per week . Is it safe
Should you aim to reach the safe upper limit, would it give more benefits?
Hey Shreyas, thanks for writing in and great question! We recommend consulting with your physician as only they know you and your situation best. They can also provide a basic blood lipid panel test to determine your current Vitamin D levels and help decide how much you should be taking. Best of luck!
-The FFP Team
i've bought some vit D3 100 iu and it says take one a day DO NOT EXCEED recommended dosage ? would it be better to take 2 a day with living in the UK and working indoors all day
Hey Truth, thanks for writing in and great question! This is a question better suited for your doctor, as only they know you and your situation best. They can also provide you a blood test to determine your current Vitamin D levels, and determine an amount appropriate for you moving forward.
-The FFP Team
I'm darker skin and take 2000 regularly but will be increasing it to 3000 in Oct
👍
I have been taking 12000 iu a day for 6 months now to counter my psoriasis, my skin is getting better and I feel a lot more alert and not so tired at work.
I also take 100 mcg of vitamin k2.
I live in the uk so sunshine is not an option.
Awesome my friend 👍
THANK YOU SO MUCH I was worried I was getting to much . So yeah lol UWU AMZING VIDEO
Thank you very much 👍🏼
You always hear about the health benefits of Vitamin D3 and never once has anyone ever asked how much is too much, This is why I watch these videos.
Hey idk about IU so can u tell me how much each maxi-D pill have IU?😀
Hey Dazai, thanks for writing in! The amount of D3 IU you'll find will vary, depending on the brand and serving size. But overall, we recommend taking around 5000IU for a couple months, dropping down to 1000-2000IU daily for maintenance thereafter. But as always, please consult with your doctor before taking any supplements.
-The FFP Team
Good to know how much vitamin D3 is enough, thanks!
My vit D is only 50ųg. How much i should take and its chewable with xylitol. Does excess vit D cause skin hypersenitivity? Like it goes very red if touch or vit A does that 800ųg? I also take zinc and vit C.
Hey Innerview, thanks for writing in and great question. Unfortunately, this is a question that may be better suited for your doctor as only they know your body and your situation best.
-The FFP Team
I have kept my D levels between 90 ng/ml and140 ng/ml for eight years now and I just don't get sick anymore and I feel great. I have had only two mild colds in the past 8 years and all of the health problems that I had before getting my D level up went away only months after getting enough vitamin D. From my experience, I think that the blood levels that you are recommending are too low. I think the best vitamin D level for most people should be between 80 and 110 ng/ml. The institutions never do studies for levels like this so they never see the benefits at these higher levels.
Awesome Brother 🙌
How much u take ?
Jim Gil what is your dose regimen? What are you taking an are u doing co factors magnesium
An k2?
My guess is your taking approx. 20,000 IU a day.
Can't estrogen therapy also raise your vitamin D level? Something to consider for some women when taking vitamin D.
one day how many tablet eating
Hey Doc the one who has normal levels how much d3 needed per day?
Hi Michael, the amount we recommend in the video is for informational purposes only. If looking for a specific amount, we recommend consulting with your doctor as only they know you and your body/numbers the best 👍
should i take vitamin d before or after I eat? w/ is a little vague
Hey Hello, thanks for writing in and great question. We recommend taking your Vitamin D in the mornings. Taking it with your breakfast is a great way to help build a habit, to not forget each day.

My mother took 60,000iuc VitaminD3 at Night
Then in Morning She Took Another 60,000iuc Vitamin D3 , What To Do? Pls Reply
Thank you for that information. I was prescribed 50,000 IU by a doctor which scared me. I felt that was an extreme amount to take even weekly. Do you agree? and also read some horrific reviews about it. I decided to take OTC vitamin D3, 2,000 IU once a day.
The kind that doctors prescribe is vitamin D2 which is inferior to D3. It's absorption rate is lower.
Yo
@Fit Father Project Your Vitamin D3 is wrong. There is no research showing calcification of the blood for Vitamin D3 levels below 600IU's per day. If there is research please post the links to your research.
