    Thank goodness I found your tutorial! I've been searching for the best slip pocket, so I can do all my liners the same, but I wanted to find THE slip pocket for my bags. I appreciate your tutorial so much, thank you 🙏❤🥹✨️

    Two things I love about this video (in addition to the bag info content) is that you point out the small imperfection without holding your thumb over it as I often see others do and you take the trouble to turn the clips around to have the flat side on the bottom. I love the blend of attention to detail together with acceptance of minor errors that don't justify correction.

    Love this method and am incorporating it to all slip pockets I make from here on out! Love not having to turn it right side out and then deal with wonky corners! Plus having the accent looks super awesome!

    My slip pocket turned out so good! I wish I could post a pic and show you. I'm trying the loopy straps now ☺️ I have a scan n cut, so I followed the link you posted for the SVG file. You have such great design ideas, thank you! Also, what size of thread do you use for your top stitching? You mentioned that you used heavier thread and I'd like to try that too 🤩

    • @SandcastleDesigns
      @SandcastleDesigns  Год назад +1

      Mandy the thread I use overall is a poly Tex 69/70. Super excited about everything you are doing! You can always email me pics… my email is linked in my profile here!

    love this do you have to change the timing on your industrial to use the heavier thread

    • @SandcastleDesigns
      @SandcastleDesigns  2 года назад

      I have never changed the timing on my machines. My industrial machines are built for heavier threads and needles.

    What weight (Tex) thread are you using to get the bold topstitching?

    • @SandcastleDesigns
      @SandcastleDesigns  2 года назад

      I am using TEX 69/70. It is a bonded poly. I have purchased from Superior Thread and Siah Swag. 💕

    Thank you for your method! What did you use for interfacing?

    • @SandcastleDesigns
      @SandcastleDesigns  2 года назад

      I used Wovenfuse I believe, you could also use SF101. I generally use this type of interfacing on cotton lining.

    Thank you for this tutorial. I’m going to start adding rivets to my slip pockets too! Can I ask where you purchased the pink tag-you look really pretty today? I have been looking for tags similar to this to add to my bags to give someone a smile each time they open their bags. Thank you again!

    Are you leaving the pocket sides with raw edges? Didn't see you turn under the edges.

    • @SandcastleDesigns
      @SandcastleDesigns  3 года назад

      At 4:32 you can see where the edges are pressed under. Then they are all brought together and I sew along that edge. The edges are kept inside that seam just like a regular seam only it is not sewn and turned out. This way it is much cleaner. You can message me and I can video with you privately if you like! It's sew much better than sewing right sides together in my experience.

    Renee, what brand cylinder arm do you have? Do you use it mostly for top stitching?

    • @SandcastleDesigns
      @SandcastleDesigns  3 года назад

      I own a Thor 1341! I would say...yes I use it primarily for topstitching. Bag openings and any other topstitching especially with contrasting thread. This way I don't have to change thread on my flat bed Juki. I also keep a 1/8" edge foot on this machine which helps keep the topstitching to an even line if this makes sense. In my next video coming out today, you will will see me topstitching on my Juki 1541 at a 1/16" inch edge...quite the accomplishment!
