Not an issue at all. To be honest, i guessed right the first time. i just kinda used the door catch and measured from there accordingly. Still no issues!
@@TheOkayOutdoorsman I appreciate it sir, I’m currently comparing these against the rolling big power steps and so far them being half of the price is very tempting. Plus I like that they have 2 motors and don’t use the OBD port since I have my tuner plugged in 24/7
No they use a magnetic sensor that goes inside of the door. Jamb on all four doors. They do not connect to the computer system at all, just the battery.
I just got my RC eboards the other day and the steps box is enormous and I thought your box looked a little small....I might be wrong but it looks like you got the extended cab steps and not the crew cab steps.....the crew cab steps are suppose to go all the way the length of both of your doors...yours look like they come up short...your steps should measure 83" to be crew cab steps
@TheOkayOutdoorsman put them on my tundra about 3 weeks ago. Not a huge fan of the magnetic trigger, but other than that they're great so far. Thanks for the info.
I went over some of it in the video, but it was hard to film the install itself because I was doing it mostly alone, with some help from a buddy, and we hit a few snags when disassembling the interior.
I'm pretty sure those washers are actually shims and 13mm is the size of the bolt not the socket size.
Great video. I was wondering about these and on the fence about buying, but I just placed my order after watching. Thanks!
I’ve been thinking about getting them. How are your running board doing right now any issues?
Shims not cut washers. Made to fine tune the separation of the motor and the truck.
You're correct. Those are shims to adjust alignment on the body if your mounting points aren't perfect due to manufacturing variances.
It is confusing because I'm doing it right now comes with no washers or lock washers just gonna use from my old steps
Nice finally a video after months of looking lol
How do you keep them down when washing the truck?
Havent figured that out yet, i just crack a door and pressure wash it
Just put your foot on the board and shut the door. When done open door and close it they will go up.
I think I'm going to try them I like this look better then they other ones
you should! No problems since video posted
I got to try these out myself
How were the magnets to install and get lined up? I hear that is the biggest issue so far

Does anyone know what the actual length of drop is?
Not sure. When I get home I’ll measure

@@TheOkayOutdoorsmanany update on how they’re holding up?
@@zak_daddy8456 Wonderful!! No problems
Are the lights suppose to be faced down towards the ground? Or Horizontal?
They’re kind angled downward on their bracket, designed to face on the boars themselves.
Update ?
Do they connect into your obd connection?

@@TheOkayOutdoorsman It's been another 9 months. How are they holding up now? I'm thinking of getting it for mine over the amp ones.
I don't see an install video?
