I got a jd60 at an auction and love it. Use it on the farm all the time. We had an A when I was real young, and it was traded off. I recently bought a cheap B with no tires and a stuck engine. I decided on a project tractor so I can learn more about them, and the joy and pride of fixing something that hasn't run in 20-30 yrs is satisfying.
Love these old classics, if I had the space I definitely would have a collection. We had a '69 4020 as our main workhorse back in the hay days and an 9n but that was it. Now I'm a long way from the fields. I miss it. Nice video, thanks for sharing
I got a 1949 john deere b, to this day, it starts and runs like it's brand new! I love that Ole tractor. I'll never sell it That's when things were really built. No engineers, no computers, no high tech collage boys. The men that built these had a slide rule, an idea, two hands to build them. And there still going today.
05:33 my 3.8 3800 in my Impala was like that. I had a literally dead battery and like three spins that the starter barely did, it fired right up. It amazed me. There are some really good modern engines out there
Good job on the walls bro You've been doing a nice job question for you what year is that John Deere be can you let me know please I appreciate you thank you sir

Enjoyed watching my friend. That’s awesome that it started that quick and easy.
Yea I know can’t beat them old ones
As a 12 year old, I was instructed to start our B. It was a powerhouse, but tough to start, so we parked it on a hill to start by popping the clutch.
Great tractor. I have a 37 B that is hand start. It can sit all winter and will fire on the first flip of the flywheel.

Nice tractor. I have a 1950 B, which is my favorite of all my John Deere two cylinder tractors.
I love your tractor

Things used to be make with quality and good cratsmanship. People invested themselves into what they did and made

Hand crank it. Mine ain’t got no battery
That's on your vehicles.
My 87 Ford Bronco can sit many months and fire right up.
12vs last just as long with something that doesn't drain them.
What year model
We thought it was a 48 but I believe it may be slightly newer than that
I had one very similar to this one except mine was a 1949 model
First tractor I ever drove. Built to sh*t and git
