I wish I had found your channel sooner. I've watched your Sunday mass for the past 4 weeks I believe and every single homily was awesome. I've always had trouble paying attention and staying focused since I was a kid, and mass was something boring growing up. But regardless I learned the importance of it but would still struggle paying attention, I even get distracted with more thought from my own thoughts lol but your homilys, your can use examples from the real world today, I find most age groups can relate to the stories and examples you tell. But the way your able to show a lesson from the gospel is amazing. Every single homily so far you've made me smile. You called me out today before mass started, I was sleepy before I had put the mass on and felt I was dosing off but then you reminded me this could be our last mass. The way you speak is beautiful. I really hope after things go back to normal, with God's grace, that you can continue doing the virtual mass. Thank you father Mike, im very grateful.
Me too! I think I started watching about 5 wks ago and have been hooked since. I know I should support my local parish but ever since I discovered Fr Mike celebrating mass here, I keep coming back week after week. I find his homilies much more engaging. 😛 He is awesome!!

This Old House, too, lol. My aunt had Pancreatic cancer. I think she went to the Mayo clinic, not sure. But, she followed a very strict Japanese diet. She is in her 70s. It went into remission.
Wow, your aunt is very blessed!! The prognosis for pancreatic, gall bladder and liver cancer is usually not good. And not a lot of research has been done on these as they are less common. I lost my mum to gall bladder cancer in 2014.
@@GwenL I also, know of a coworkers mother who had a whipple surgery? Some sort of specialized surgery for pancreatic cancer and she recovered, too. There's always hope.

Precious Roman Catholic - why does your priest continue on the altar what Jesus finished at the cross?
"And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.
Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin." -Hebrews 10:11-12, 18
So we can have Jesus' sacrifice applied to us in every place and every time.

@@traceyh4803 this does not contradict what I said, in fact it harmonizes perfectly. Jesus' once-for-all sacrifice needs to be applied to believers throughout their lives to atone for their ongoing sins (unless you claim that you don't sin lol).
@@timhaynes4686 So, rather than repentance and continuing to keep your faith in Christ alone as our righteousness, are you saying the only way to apply Jesus' once-for-all sacrifice is to offer him on the altar over and over again? Would you happen to have any Scripture references for that?
Try to talk a bit slower. Hard to follow and giving me a headache. Your message is good, just too fast. We need reflective homilies where you don’t feel like you are on a high speed train.
Fr.Mike is so passionate about his ministry that he cannot go slow 💕

I love Father Mike's masses! Can I ask why it's always jerky and poor frame rate, though? We have 1 gigabit internet, and it's like that on all of our devices. The video stats look good, so it seems to be a problem with the original recording. Thank you!
His homilies are getting longer and longer (verbosity) and full of non sense enumerations, side stories and less on lessons & wisdom....
My mum said exactly the same thing when she had terminal cancer. The same thing that Father Mike Schmitz's mum said. She said she was not afraid or scared but sad that she cannot be with us anymore. She died 5 years ago.
