I switched to catholic right after Covid-19 with one Irish catholic 96 years old gentleman . He went to the church every single day at Oakville near Napa valley. He taught me a lot about Catholic and that’s how I am with catholic now . I want to baptize one of these day because I feel very good after I do my pray and I feel God is always there for me . I’m Burmese. I was born in Burma and grew up there until I was 11. My dad is a Catholic. My mom was a Buddhist until she married my dad, and she converted to Catholicism. Her mom was my favorite grandparent and she was a Buddhist. I have the utmost respect for Buddhism, and my grandma was an inspiration to me. Now I’m studying to be a Catholic priest, about 3 years to go. Praying for you!
Hi Somjit. I hope that you are doing well. Thanks for sharing your story, however I don't think you should get involved in this church. I would highly recommend that you get a bible and read the word of God. It's nice that you know that God loves you so right now get involved in the word of God. Let me know if you have further questions.
I grew up Catholic. I have not been Catholic for 30 years. I have been Christian. There is a long story why I stopped being Catholic. I have asked God for what religion he wants me to be, he has led me back to be Catholic again. My husband and I watch Catholic church everyday online, we pray the rosary etc.. Pray for me to become Catholic again, to have my husband become Catholic and our marriage blessed in the Catholic Church. I have had health issues. Thank you for your show. Merry Christmas!!
@@anne-marielouiserey4244 In my first marriage, I was immediately physically and emotionally abused. My husband was in the military and we were stationed far away from my family. I would call home in the middle of the night wanting an airplane ticket home. Knowing what my family believed as Catholics and divorce, (older Catholics) , the blame would come back on me as I was not doing something right. What I did not know is my husband met his real love right after we were married in the military training he was doing with her. I continued to stay in the marriage, we had two children, right before our 10th wedding anniversary we separated. The marriage continued to be very abusive. He was abusive to the children and I would do anything to protect them. From years seven to nine, my ex-husband would threaten to kill me often. He would openly say he wanted our children dead. Our children were 7 and 5 when we separated. As my marriage went through the years, I fell away from God period. I should have been in church more not less, gone to counseling with a priest etc.. I did go to his military priest, he said it was all my fault too. My family never supported me and still loves my ex-husband. They don't think too highly of me, I am the black sheep. It has been 25 years since our divorce. It turns out the woman my ex-husband liked in training, she was 5 months pregnant when he left me. My ex-husband after our divorce married a different woman he worked with on his ship. They were married for two years. She had just had both of her parent's pass away. When he was drunk when he was still home, he would talk about her getting money from her parent's deaths. My opinion, I think he married her to get rid of all his marital debt. Since his second divorce, my ex-husband has been married to the woman he impregnated. They are still married. When my husband left me my neighbor took me to a Christian Church. I continued to teach my children all about being Catholic. I would take them to the Catholic Church. Then I would follow Christian. I have many extended family members that won't have anything to do with me after my divorce. I have found out from mutual friends that he told them I did drugs and was an alcoholic. I was and am still the opposite. I was done with men after my first marriage. I did end up getting married after six years of dating. We have been married 17 years. It has not been perfect but it is not abusive. My daughter told me that her Dad had pictures of the 3rd wife and my ex when they were much younger. I guess the marriage not staying together is my fault. I could not make him happy and she does. I do feel bad falling away from Catholicism. I do feel bad my family doesn't like me more. I try to conform to be like them.
@@jacksparrow1057why don’t you get married in Walmart? You deserve a more dignified ceremony. Why don’t you eat in the bathroom. It’s not a good fit. Why don’t you wear a snow suit in July? It isn’t the best idea. the Mass offers all the dignity, adoration, and attention we can give Father Son, Holy Spirit. We offer our best and in holiness. Sunsets are enthralling but my attention is on, for, and given to God.
@@Donna-cc1kt Where was Adam and Eve married? Before the Mass existed where did all the children of God get married? Frankly Donna the interior of a lot of the Catholic churches these days lack more than dignity.
Father Rich, I have seen 2 homilies of yours and I have now cried twice, coming from a man that doesn’t cry. Because of your faithfulness and ultimately your passion for Christ I have decided to become Catholic. That’s not everything either, due to this decision I have never felt more of a united front between my wife and I than now. The Catholic faith is building the foundation and this house will be built on solid ground. Thank you Father Rich! Your love and sacrifice does not go unnoticed.
See this is why I have problems with my fit. Merry somebody is sacred to me. I’m not priest. The vows, In front of God, in a setting on God’s natural creations are sublime and beautiful. The sky, the clouds, the ocean that’s all ; not just a building. How a couple chooses their attire, a wedding dress, and a beach shouldn’t be important to you at all and it’s none of your business as long as they’re respectful. This is exactly why the church is losing people the lack of being honored by a couple asking them to marry you with the Catholic rite, And the sacraments can be done anywhere. It’s done in a hospital. It’s done in war, but you can’t do a wedding surrounded by God’s beauty and his creations? And again I’m looking at your pictures guys on the walls, and it’s all about the Blessed Mother, but there is not one single woman that is part of this discussion. massage any anybody
Our wedding cost about €3,000. That included the rings, the suit, the dress, the Church donation, the food...everything. Got a secondhand wedding dress. The suit was new. Used my mobile phone and a bluetooth speaker for our wedding music. Guests were our two witnesses, my parents and two "gate crashers" who brought us to the Church in their Jaguar (that was a lovely surprise), the priest and the photographer, a great friend who did our wedding photos. We had booked a table at a local restaurant. We didn't even tell them it was a wedding party. They treated us so nicely. Even sprung a bottle of champagne. But the most beautiful and meaningful part of the day was the ceremony itself. We chose our readings, prayers and words carefully and we meant them. There were no worries; no distractions; no tensions. If you want a marriage, focus on God and each other. If you want a party to impress people, you're going to be broke...probably for years. Life is not about impressing people. Try to impress God instead. Thanks for your show. Its nice to let people see the joy in our Faith.
Why do you have to pay for a wedding Another moneygram for the Catholic Church You don't have to pay for a wedding everywhere I don't think about married you don't pay you may give an offering what you don't have this is the problem with the Catholic Church money money money and 1st of all a priest is not your father Bible says not to call anyone father I said Jesus Christ
@robinchevrier497 Robin, there is NO payment for a Catholic wedding. However, there is a long-held tradition to leave a donation. Think about the amount of arrangements required for a church wedding. It doesn't just happen. Ascetics need to be considered, music flowers, etc. Anything worthwhile requires effort.
I think generally using party as how you vote is kinda dumb because it doesn't really address how you think, just party platform and that usually is an indicator of mindless group think. I usually tell people I'm catholic and a conservative bc conservative tells my actual attitudes towards the American constitution and founding ideas and Catholic obviously gives my primary allegiance to Christ and his Church.
I’m 65 and have never heard a priest say the word “f_____g” before. It did not go unnoticed. The The show is quite enjoyable, and I love hearing everyone’s viewpoint.
😇 The whole world is going crazy and these three guys think everything is funny. And this is why I love this show. It really calms my anxiety. puts my mind at ease and makes me realize if I have Jesus in my life it’s gonna be ok. Thank you!!!!!!
Definitely. Birds of a feather. Flock together. I’m praying The Holy Spirit pour out His Joyfulness into your soul, now and forever. Your in my Eternal prayer basket. Peace! Courage!.
How wonderful it is to see 3 young "Bros" enjoying and promoting their Faith. That one of you is a Priest is icing on the cake. God bless you all. I love this!
I enjoy this show. Contemporary Catholic priest speaking the Truth in contemporary fashion, never leaving the teachings of our Catholic faith. Very appealing to the younger listeners as well as us 60 something’s who want to learn and remain in our faith! Thank you!!!!
Father really changed my mind about getting married in my home parish. It's a more modern church and not as aesthetically pleasing as some older ones in my area. That being said, it's MY church, where I was baptized, received first penance, received first communion, experienced confirmation, served 100+ masses as an altar server. Those memories and experiences make this plain modern church more "beautiful" to me than any Church.
I used to just crochet at night. Now, l crochet and listen to the Catholic Talk Show! I love you all and being Catholic.. You and Keith Nester are my forever friends
Thank you so much for your comments on Marriage. My husband and I got married in our parish church by a dear priest friend who has done all the weddings, baptisms and funerals in our family. We had a BBQ reception at our home. My dress cost $175. We have been married 15 yrs and have three children. We have been through good and bad, sickness and health, richer and poorer. I love him more each day and he tells me and shows me the same. We are both committed Catholics, and have raised our children likewise. We often look back with fondness at our wedding, and are really lad we made the day about our marriage and not the wedding ❤ Great show guys- thank you 🙏🏻
This show united me with Christ when I was a lukewarm Catholic . I started by getting back to attending Mass & then Confession. Thanks for reaching out via RUclips because I’m learning more about my Catholic tradition. Very refreshing to see you guys laughing while teaching.
I'm afraid, Father, that most of these issues are not taught from the pulpit. Many who are trying to be good Catholics were not educated about these beliefs.
You guys are joyful, reverent, funny, thought-provoking and have great comradery. I laugh and learn so much! Thank you and God bless you Ryan, Ryan and Father Rich for your great show!
Thank you all for being proud of being Catholic. I first heard Fr. Pagano at his church in Florida. My grandson took me to mass and was so impressed at Fathers homily. I try to make people understand that more unite us than you might think. It's the devil that trys to separate us.
Thank you for this amazing video !! Thank you, Father for your blessed honesty ! Thank the whole table for carrying on a brilliant conversation that each of us could appreciate. We love all three of you !
Outstanding, gentlemen! A beautiful, honest, practical way to show us laity how deeply you are committed to the faith with uncompromising fidelity and how much you give of yourselves with humility and love in Christ. I really needed that today. Thank you!
True story - I got tired of the PRIEST complaining to me about how hot the church was. I went to Target one night about 10pm and bought a vertical fan and then went back to the church around midnight and placed it in the sanctuary pointed directly at the celebrant's chair. It was at least a month before he even noticed it, but he stopped complaining about the heat.
@@lizolson282 Thank you for your kind words, but I think my motivation might have been somewhat self-serving. As I said, the priest stopped complaining. :)

So I went to the jewelry store and they bought my ring which allowed me to pay the $#% mortuary until the insurance came in . I was very grateful for that ring . Laughing is a gift from God! Laugh away! I have to priests who are my closest friend! They know they always have a safe place to just be themselves and talk at my house! They are human! I'm always shocked how some Catholics talk and question them. Just found this channel! Love it!
This show is two years old, but I’m just now seeing it. I’m so happy to hear that not only is abortion wrong (duh), but so is capital punishment! Thank you! I’ve always said this.
I have just watched this. Very good and educational. I’m a funeral director that serves many religions and ethnic groups. As a Catholic, I have a hard time with “non-active Catholics that choose cremation but insist scattering their loved ones ashes. I explain the reasoning and beliefs of the church, there are a percentage that will do it. Once the ashes are given back to the family it’s on their shoulders.
You guys crack me up! You are the real deal. Tough job. I’m telling you there are many who “see” you and appreciate you & your holy mission. You’re so down to earth, Father. You are the perfect priest, shepherd! An inspiration. Honestly, I can’t imagine someone sending you a nasty email! I’m laughing and crying re what people say to or ask you 😮 😅
We got married in my mil's garden. At the time, though, I was muddling my way through emotional and spiritual abuse and I would get panic attacks in church. I'm really glad I found my way back and that my practicing Catholic in-laws and relatives were gentle with me.
How did you get out of the panic attacks ? My daughters fiancé has that same problem. Did you believe that God was angry at you ? I would love to help him. How can I do that, besides being loving toward him and my daughter who wants him to come back to the Church ?
While recovering from cancer, I have asked people from the parish to send me pics of their children. This will REALLY cheer up my day. I refer to little ones as lottery tickets because when I see them it's like winning the lottery. They also show us that there is hope in the world. And finally when someone says, "Is that your grandchild? I usually say, "No, but l'm practicing." They really like my joke.
Every Sunday after mass we would go to the bakery, then come back to church with a box of pastries for our priests... yes they did remember our names ❤
Not only shouldn't anyone ask a priest who he voted for, they shouldn't ask ANYONE who they voted for. We have a secret ballot in this country for a reason.
Whether I was asked to Godparent or Sponsor a person, I have an interview with the parents or the RCIA candidate. After the wee chat I have, in fact, suggested that I was not the best person to to stand with them. I have 5 Godchildren and sponsored 3 adults into the faith. It is a life long bond, in my opinion.
Im not a usual of the show, I’m catholic though and I had the video on, minding my daily chores, ironing some napkins when you talked about baptism being the welcoming of each into the body of christ. It was nothing new. But it felt like it was and felt overwhelmed with love instantly. I smiled my eyes went straight to my crucifix. He just wanted to seize that moment to remind of his love. And now I can’t iron anymore, am only smiles with an abnormal heart rate, but i’m happy❤️🔥
Absolutely LOVE this show, you guys bring a fresh REAL insight to how to live our faith in today's world. I was a Youth Minister in my parish when I was a young adult and this was the one thing I tried to really teach the youth- living your faith and being REAL about it! Thanks guys!
So glad that you all have a sense of humor and laugh!! This world we are in, is out of control, so we need you guys to lighten things up, yet you give us spiritual lift! You are honest and real to your audience. Sans the naysayers, just keep doing what you are doing here. Love you guys. Merry Christmas.
The problem of a too hot or too cold church was solved at our church when we figured out how the AC vents were directed. We spread the word about where the colder areas and hot spots were and it was your decision where to sit.
Father Rich, you made me cry and then laugh out loud. I can see your passion for the faith 🙏🏽💕 I’m enlightened by The Catholic Show and I continue to pray that your ministry through this venue continues to flourish and touch souls as it’s done with mine. God bless!! 🙏🏽💕

I asked my best friend to be godmother. She had helped me so much and was the only person I could trust would really support my children with what they needed if I couldn’t. She took the role seriously and now she is a mother herself and takes her whole family to church. I know that can’t be expected but it’s worked out beautifully. 😊
We have a Greek Orthodox Church not far from us. At their Cemetery the headstones have pics of the person who has past away. Many black and white photos of people who have past away over 100 years ago. How cool is that. I meet a young woman who visited a grave with her Great great Aunt. She was able to see what she looked like and found she resemble her.
Gentlemen...as I sit here with you listening to your thoughts ... your passion for the church is great...We've been awakened to the joys of Christ...How many people (cradle catholics) are weak in the faith? How many don't believe in transubstatition etc.?

We have two volunteers in charge of Adoration so when someone doesn’t show up we call those two people but NEVER a Priest. We all need to pray daily for our Parish Priest’s. And the Bishops and Priests around the world too.
Loved listening to the show yesterday! My pastor says many people email him complaints. He said, “Do you know how I respond? Delete! Delete! Delete! If you want to have a conversation, make an appointment!” Love him so much!!
Considering some complaints can actually be legitimate, I'm not sure this is the best route to go. I know there are some people who love nothing more to complain, so I get the feeling. But if someone's complaining that not enough salt is being put down on the sidewalk and they slipped and almost fell, it might be worth reviewing. A complaint about staff may very well be legitimate. And some may be legit teaching moments, too.
I am a Canadian,Catholic, & really love your show. You do get a little silly at times but even that helps me realize that we need this laughter & it is a good thing. Years ago I attended a very large church which had no air conditioning and in the summer it was very hot inside. Naturally many complained to the priest. He was a great Sicilian who said, “Imma not put air conditioning in this place! I want to remind you of where you don’t wanna end up!”
I am so happy to listen to you guys. It’s so nice to hear something positive and I even learn a thing or two 😉 It’s so nice to have you as an escape from the negative spews of the world. God is good!! 🙏 🥖🥖🐟🐟
Enjoy listening to you . Fun and informative. Thank you. For those of you complaining about the church being cold, maybe you should wear more clothes. Sorry to the priests for all complainers how about a little gratitude for all they do. Years ago I found out someone was going to the priest complaining because I genuflected before Holy Communion. They never came to me to inquire or complain. So complainers will always find something or someone
Thank you GOOD MEN for speaking out and for Catholics. You're inspiring so many people, especially men to get back into faith. As a boomer, I appreciate your love, humor and energy for God. I am recently back into my Catholic faith and loving Lent Day 2.
Thanks for the encouraging remarks. Father if anyone comments on your homily possibly direct them to the most important part of the mass besides the Eucharist is the readings of the word of God. That is what parishioners ought to be listening to with all of their mind heart and being. I'm sure you have good homilies but the word of God is the most important thing to consider over a homily. Thanks for your support of our Catholic church. God bless.
I told our priest that he missed an opportunity to mention abortion at a homily one Sunday. He agreed with me and seemed unhappy that he'd missed the chance to mention it because it would have fit into his homily very well. (I forgot what the gospel was about that day). Anyway he did say he'd keep the topic in mind for other homilies. I'm sorry if I upset him; he's a very good holy priest.
Did he also forgot to mention the sexual abuse perpretated that has destroyed so many, many lives. Always mention abortion because it's women's thing, never about the pedophiles. Mass supposed to be spiritual.
Here's the thing. We know that abortion is wrong as Catholics. We don't need to hear it every Sunday. Even if there are Catholics who don't adhere to it, they surely know where the Church stands on the issue. If it fits the bill, according to a particular time and place, then it's great. When I hear a priest ONLY talk about abortion ALL THE TIME, though... especially when the homily has got nothing to do with the readings, you know, he might as well be throwing everybody else under the bus: struggling immigrants, the working class, people on welfare, victims of foreign wars, those charged with the death penalty, etc. If you're not calling out evil WHEREVER YOU SEE IT, then you shouldn't be calling it out from the pulpit at all. I'm there to recieve the Eucharist, not to hear a political stump speech. Mind you, I would relish a great rallying cry from the pulpit against the entire political system as it stands. I would LOVE to hear every single priest every fourth November EXPLICITLY CONDEMN BOTH PARTIES, and explain why. That would be awesome. If you're just sneakily endorsing what you believe to be the "lesser of two evils," then don't pretend to be maintaining the fullness of the Catholic social teaching. Christ doesn't bend like that.
We have a Monestary in Ga , Monestary of the Holy Spirit, which has a burial green place for the public. It is in rustic wooded setting. Can have a small flat tombstone. The wonderful thing is that the graves are on the densely wooded area where the monks walk and jog daily on the trails. Each Nov 2 nd the Abbott walks through the wooded area and blesses each burial spot. The prayers and Masses at the monestary are offered for the poor souls buried there. It is an absolutely beautiful and rustic resting place with deer, birds, rabbits, etc.
WOW sounds so beautiful . I would love to be buried there, we don't have children. Not sure anyone will pray for me or my husband after we're gone. I'm going to try get Gregorian masses for us after my husband and I die in my will.
Completely agree on the comments about partisanship. More often than not, people think about what their “party” wants instead of what is best overall. We need a lot more free thinkers!
Both political parties have warts, but one supported the destruction of over 1 million innocent children last year versus 17 heinous criminals on death row. Equating these two things is with all due respect ridiculous.
How many innocent babies are killed vs. capital punishment killings? And, since when has the church declared capital punishment as murder? Is the unity sought not the unity in Christ? Are we seeking a unity where everyone gets along and ignores the sins against God and his creation? So much more clarity in these key words used are needed.
Sketch - absolutely agree. Our Lord wasn’t crucified for getting along with the political forces of his time. I initially thought father was talking about candidate endorsement. If Catholics can’t hear the truth from their priest where will they hear it?
@@johnniles2715 thank you. Do you refer to another show? The "sixpack Joe" show (or something like that)? God will not be mocked. Fr. Frank Pavone, of Priests for Life, is faithful, clear, mainstream --meaning that anyone can understand his authrntic teaching. He does not joke around. He would never have a Pope JPII bobblehead. Humor is often a tool of the enemy. So we must do the opposite and honor what is being ridiculed, minimized and mocked here. Those of us laity who give our life's work to protect innocent children wonder what these priests are all about? Are they going for the cheap laugh at a few elderly lay people? Sometimes those cranky old ladies they ridicule are lonely widows in need of counseling. Even in the Book of Acts, the Greek widows and Jewish widows were competing for day-old bread. The Apostles got together and said they were too important to bother themselves with a few lonely, impoverished widows. So they appointed deacons. Stephen was one of them. In those days, Christians easily and routinely performed miracles. Stephen caught too much attention so he was stoned to death. Saul, later Paul, watched the whole thing. This resulted in many riots and the spread of Christianity and Saul's conversion. So, serving those lonely, hungry old widows was the ticket to fame for some. Christianity did not spread because of jokes. It spread because of miracles. Fr. Robert Altier on You Tube is a very serious priest. Why get into a career or a profession when the job description results in the people who are served are constantly ridiculed? Go open a diner instead.
When I got married as a young adult at 19 I was marrying a young man who was methodist. I was pregnant and when I went to my church I was told I could wear white, that made me doubt thoughts behind that comment that made me feel that I would be sinning if I a white dress, so I got married in his church who married me in my mother's home. In a blue dress. And thank you for speaking about burial, you ease my mind on cremation in the catholic church.

Why can't the sacraments be given on the beach?
@@jacksparrow1057why don’t you get married in Walmart? You deserve a more dignified ceremony. Why don’t you eat in the bathroom. It’s not a good fit. Why don’t you wear a snow suit in July? It isn’t the best idea. the Mass offers all the dignity, adoration, and attention we can give Father Son, Holy Spirit. We offer our best and in holiness. Sunsets are enthralling but my attention is on, for, and given to God.

Where was Adam and Eve married?
Thank you

Welcome home
Just stay out of politics, Father, that isn’t your purview. Killing is wrong anso are wars.
Agreed
Why do you have to pay for a wedding Another moneygram for the Catholic Church You don't have to pay for a wedding everywhere I don't think about married you don't pay you may give an offering what you don't have this is the problem with the Catholic Church money money money and 1st of all a priest is not your father Bible says not to call anyone father I said Jesus Christ
@robinchevrier497
Robin, there is NO payment for a Catholic wedding. However, there is a long-held tradition to leave a donation.
Think about the amount of arrangements required for a church wedding. It doesn't just happen.
Ascetics need to be considered, music flowers, etc. Anything worthwhile requires effort.

Good for you. I admire your stance
Great comment! Would make a great T-shirt!
I’m 65 and have never heard a priest say the word “f_____g” before. It did not go unnoticed.
The The show is quite enjoyable, and I love hearing everyone’s viewpoint.

And I'm grateful for father Mike that's on RUclips all his topics he talks about led me back to the Catholic church.
We often look back with fondness at our wedding, and are really lad we made the day about our marriage and not the wedding ❤ Great show guys- thank you 🙏🏻
Pray that I can find that too!!
Hallow is amazing! As an RCIA candidate it is really helping me to know the faith. I love the scriptural rosary with Jonathan Roumie🙏🏻

Thank you all for being proud of being Catholic. I first heard Fr. Pagano at his church in Florida. My grandson took me to mass and was so impressed at Fathers homily. I try to make people understand that more unite us than you might think. It's the devil that trys to separate us.

That was so thoughtful of you to do such a simple thing I am sure God was pleased.

So I went to the jewelry store and they bought my ring which allowed me to pay the $#% mortuary until the insurance came in . I was very grateful for that ring . So maybe that ring especially in the times we are seeing might keep a roof over a family's head or ? Every little bit helps.

This is the very best show for Catholics. Love all of you. God bless and thank you.
What a great discussion - and a wonderful way to start my day - thank you
We have a Monestary in Ga , Monestary of the Holy Spirit, which has a burial green place for the public.

Abortion is an intrinsic evil. Capital punishment, while wrong, is not.
Amen! No politics in the Church!
First time to encounter your excellent show!!! will definitely share to my priest friends....
This was great!!! I'm a 57 yr old senior citizen, you make me feel old. But you guys are FANTASTIC!!Love Fr. Richs attitude!!👏🏼👏🏼✔❤
57 is a senior citizen? 😂😂😂 Good one!
I can’t believe you are calling yourself a senior citizen at 57 years old? I have hit my 70’s and am just now thinking I am a senior citizen. My 11 year old grandson tells me I am just a big kid, and I am finally telling him that Mimi is getting pretty old. I appreciate his comment, but he now wants to go home instead of hanging with his Mimi.
@@carolynegan5101 I am 60 in five weeks time, I still feel like I am 19 🤣
You are not a senior citizen. When I was in my fifties I considered myself young. I am now 78, and just recently began thinking of myself as old.
Father please don't use the term 'hot' when referring to an attractive woman. It is somewhat of a degrading sentiment. Thanks and I do enjoy this channel and the great topics that are covered. I have learned a lot about our Catholic faith.
