  • Friends, our Gospel for this Sunday is one of the great passages of the New Testament-namely, the Beatitudes from the fifth chapter of Matthew. "Beatitudo" just means happiness, and the one thing we all want is to be happy. Well, here is the Son of God telling us how-so let’s pay close attention!

You are never too long +Robert... over the last few years you have been a profound inspiration to this demoralised English Anglican priest. Thank you a 1000 times. If being a Roman Catholic means having a bishop like you, I only have one question... and that is 'How do I get a job in your church'.

If all Catholic preaching were as life-giving as Bishop Barron’s, there would be standing room only at Sunday Mass in all Catholic Churches. Thank you! God bless the whole world!

Bishop Barron, some priests or deacons go on and on, getting nowhere with a point. Your sermons, IMHO, are never to long. You unroll the readings and make them viable and real, understood. Please do not hold back. I need to be able to take a look at me as I hear God's word. If I don't understand God's word, how can I relate it to me? How do I grow and change? Thank you. Peace be with you. Linda

This is more evidence to me that The Catholic Church is indeed intellectual, cerebral, psychological, emotional, visual, acoustical and, above all, spiritual, bliss. Plenitude. Praise The Lord for men like our beloved Bishop Barron.

Too many sermons are too short! We are hungry to hear from good priests. ❤

Bishop Barron please only this time don’t do what pope asks you. We all wait every week for your inspiring and instructive sermons. Your sermons quench my thirst to learn more about my Catholic Faith. I pray that all baptized christians participate in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist in their local churches. God bless all of you. ✝️🙏❤️🇨🇦

Hi Bishop, thanks for this “long”homily, I’m a catholic priest here in Canada and I needed this long homily. Pope Francis is not wrong and neither are you. Shalom

There is an important difference between listening to a sermon in mass and listening to it on RUclips. If the priest gets long-winded and you leave, you'll miss the best part. If the good bishop were to get tedious, you could turn him off - never happened to me yet. Bishop, keep up your good work!

I concur with those saying your sermons are not too long. The problem with some Catholic preaching has not been its length, but its being empty of any significant content. No worries on that front for you, Bishop.

Short or long- sermons need to be speaking the truth and not empty words or fearful of offending. I can listen to you all day long Bishop Barron.

Dearest Bishop, you are never too long. Your sermons are too good that I never feel the time. Please don't compromise with the contents of your videos because you need to make it short. In this day and age, the rarest thing to find is a good sermon like yours. Please please don't feel pressured to make it short.
