once again I am 'fed' by listening to this homily. I have made a habit of going to Mass, coming home and listening to Bishop Barron. No shade thrown on our local priests but these homilies of his allow me to really reflect on what I just did - participate in the highest form of prayer on earth.

It is not the fulcrum upon which history turned, it's just a calendar dating system devised by a Christian monk Dionysius Exiguus in the sixth century, which he got wrong as in Jesus birth is dated to 6 - 4 bce. Many different cultures have come up with dating systems with the Mayan and Persian considered the most accurate. Barron's ability to talk rubbish is astonishingly brilliant.

It will do us more good to get acquainted with what Jesus spoke with authority in his life, and the deeds he performed among people of his time and also how he is followed and imitated by so many. He is indeed the fulcrum of all of human history and the only forever meaningful fulcrum around which the human heart may move. Your preoccupation with dates is only causing you to be blind to perceiving truths that alone can set you free.

I read what you wrote and I believe that you believe that there's no life after death. Atheists believe the same thing. But there's a lot of Christian people who believe that as well. I don't want to take away what you believe. I'm a disabled person in Ticket to Work: (which basically means that I am lucky when I am offered work, because everyone else gets offered work before I do) Because of my Faith, the Bible, and my disabilities as well as what I have overcome trying to find permanent work and trying to save up for a vehicle and because of what I have overcome actively pursuing my commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement, I believe that my soul will live after I die. Every day, I ask God to help me stay in a state of grace and to grant me the disposition of a person that He would want with Him in Heaven. Have a good Sunday, Mr. Armando.

That's what I always say, Jesus is not a myth, He is history, he's God. All those scientists, archeologists, and atheists failed to prove otherwise. In fact, some of them, during their missions to prove their point, they became Christians. The first reading from Jeremiah spoke of Jesus' coming in history in Jerusalem. The second reading from the first book of Thessalonians spoke of Jesus now in our hearts and our conduct. Lastly, the Gospel from Luke spoke of his coming in the future and for us to be caught ready. Our beautiful Catholic Church set it up for us as you taught in your sermon. Blessed Advent everyone!🙏

As always, a powerful deeply relevant sermon from the good Bishop that I plan to listen to multiple times today because of the depth of the message. The first hearing gave me a desire to go deeper to the extent that God is willing to reveal more to me. As a systems engineer and holistic thinking, the Bishop's message about God briinging the strands of history (ours lives and that of all who ever lived - theodrama!) together as a revelation resonates deeply with me. While at grad school, I heard a professor say regarding our difficulty with probabilistic thinking that everything is deterministic. We just are not smart enough to make the connections. I believe these connections are God's revelation and it is wondrous when He reveals a connection to me that I was not privy to. To me, this is part of the theological virtue of hope and one leading me to stand erect and keep watch.
What a miracle your sermon is to me, as I wondered how I could teach the truth of Our Lord's first coming, the truth of Advent to my 8 yr olds pupils, while also reading the Irish legend of Fionn Mac Cumhaill & the Scottish giant. once again I am 'fed' by listening to this homily. I have made a habit of going to Mass, coming home and listening to Bishop Barron. No shade thrown on our local priests but these homilies of his allow me to really reflect on what I just did - participate in the highest form of prayer on earth.

It is not the fulcrum upon which history turned, it's just a calendar dating system devised by a Christian monk Dionysius Exiguus in the sixth century, which he got wrong as in Jesus birth is dated to 6 - 4 bce. Many different cultures have come up with dating systems with the Mayan and Persian considered the most accurate. Barron's ability to talk rubbish is astonishingly brilliant.

Cultivate the spiritual mindset. It will do us more good to get acquainted with what Jesus spoke with authority in his life, and the deeds he performed among people of his time and also how he is followed and imitated by so many. He is indeed the fulcrum of all of human history and the only forever meaningful fulcrum around which the human heart may move. Your preoccupation with dates is only causing you to be blind to perceiving truths that alone can set you free.

I read what you wrote and I believe that you believe that there's no life after death. Atheists believe the same thing. But there's a lot of Christian people who believe that as well. I'm a disabled person in Ticket to Work: (which basically means that I am lucky when I am offered work, because everyone else gets offered work before I do) Because of my Faith, the Bible, and my disabilities as well as what I have overcome trying to find permanent work and trying to save up for a vehicle and because of what I have overcome actively pursuing my commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement, I believe that my soul will live after I die.

The first reading from Jeremiah spoke of Jesus' coming in history in Jerusalem. The second reading from the first book of Thessalonians spoke of Jesus now in our hearts and our conduct. Lastly, the Gospel from Luke spoke of his coming in the future and for us to be caught ready. Our beautiful Catholic Church set it up for us as you taught in your sermon. Blessed Advent everyone!🙏

As always, a powerful deeply relevant sermon from the good Bishop that I plan to listen to multiple times today because of the depth of the message. The first hearing gave me a desire to go deeper to the extent that God is willing to reveal more to me. As a systems engineer and holistic thinking, the Bishop's message about God briinging the strands of history (ours lives and that of all who ever lived - theodrama!) together as a revelation resonates deeply with me. While at grad school, I heard a professor say regarding our difficulty with probabilistic thinking that everything is deterministic. We just are not smart enough to make the connections. I believe these connections are God's revelation and it is wondrous when He reveals a connection to me that I was not privy to. To me, this is part of the theological virtue of hope and one leading me to stand erect and keep watch.

His death too annuls the dismal gloom n spectre of sin n death n charts us onto a path to holiness n radiance. Our wonderful Blessed Mother Mary was chosen to fulfill the eternal divine plan of salvation of God the Father. Our Liturgical cycles of Advent n Lent prepares us mentally n spiritually for the impact of the events of Jesus’s life which affect our own lives.
