  • Complacency is being satisfied with how things are and not being willing to change them.
We are insulated from discomfort in many ways. And our lives of comfort can lead to complacency. But encountering Christ can lead to compassion.

I worry a little, having moved to a retirement home, there is literally nothing to do here but relax! All meals are supplied. I love to do nothing, but my prayer life has improved. I pray I’m okay and not complacent. One of my best memories is buying sandwiches for the homeless people I used to see near the grocery store. Some of them were so grateful, while others were too angry. It wasn’t hard to figure out what to do, but here God has not created such an obvious need.
Father Mike, this sermon scared me a little. I don’t have that many options. I pray every day that God doesn’t mind me idle. Thank you again for your abundance of wisdom, all so accessible.

The moral of the sermon is to Always Make the Best Time Possible Regardless of Time! St. Francis of Asissi was known for the ability to communicate with animals. It is very fun when we take the time to talk and communicate with animals, and many wonders do happen.

What is the Catholic doctrine of providence?
In short, Divine Providence can be defined as “the dispositions by which God guides his creation toward this perfection” (ccc 302). We are told that “God protects and governs all things which he has made” (ccc 302) and “cares for all, from the least things to the great events of the world and its history” (ccc 303).

You are why trads get a bad name even from other trads. Your comments are not relevant to the video, are not done in a spirit of charity. All you do is trash the novus ordo and offer nothing postive or true.
If you think the novus ordo is illegitimate then keep it moving, stay at that trad liturgy you like, and pray and make penance for the Church and hierarchy to return to Tradition. And above all do things in a spirit of charity, other even the truth just because a blunt entrustment to berate people.
