This was the first boss I fought in the game, which was really awesome because Gohma from Ocarina of Time was the first Zelda boss I ever beat as a kid, I had the biggest smile on my face
yeah i'm glad they added a gohma boss in totk
I love this and more people need to see this. All of your suites sound like the definitive renditions of their tracks!
Thanks for your kind words :) Appreciate the support!
Scourge of Yunobos Drug Empire
MARBLED GOHMA
Also, that part at 0:20 to 0:35 is just divine
I feel like Marbled Gohma is technically Yunobo’s supplier
Moragias theme is pretty that oart but a full song
I’m so happy they brought back Gohma. She’s been MIA for far too long.
“RECHARGE YUNOBO!!!! GODDAMN IT YUNOBO RE FUCKING CHARGE ALREADY!!!!”
If you haven’t seen before, you can actually use recall on the rocks that marbled Gohma throws at you, even when they surround you. Then release it for some small damage and a smaller stun.
@@hankpeterschmidt8626 OH MY GOD I never thought about it 😭
@@hankpeterschmidt8626I used recall on the to escape, but didn’t think to do that!
@@hankpeterschmidt8626that’s so smart why did i never think of that holy crap
@@hankpeterschmidt8626Or if you’re really daring, try to get atop the Gohma by using Ascension on its underside; you have to very quick and precise before it lands on you with great damage
This fight has so many sound files. I was overwhelmed when I saw how many there are for this boss fight
I was as well, but all of the “chance” themes actually interlock together pretty cleanly! A, C, E, etc on one audio track and B, D, F, etc on the other - and they just alternate back and forth. Was expecting this to be one of the longer projects but once i figured that out it was alright.
@@dyltheisprod seems like totk wanted to be pikmin for a bit
@@edgytoucan3444 think you're feeling hajime wakai's influence, he composed and worked as the sound director for pikmin 1-2, botw, wind waker, skyward sword AND totk, hence the penchant for dynamic music
Totk boss music is the absolute GOAT I love how throughout every boss theme (except demon dragon) is how you can hear zonia singing which adds that extra spice to it…
demon dragon’s Zelda’s lullaby in the background sells it so hard though in that final phase
@@edgytoucan3444fax id say the demon dragon theme is the best theme from the whole ost
@@niceparker8401I’d say it’s tied with Gleeok for best. But hey, at least we agree it’s best
@@niceparker8401Demon Dragon is tied with Gleeok for my favorite theme.
@@hankpeterschmidt8626 for sure
GIANT ENEMY SPIDER
No, it’s Giant enemy crab
Wubwubwubwub
@@_Zora_XDattack its weakpoint for Massive damage
@@_Zora_XDThat will happen if you steal Mr.Krabs's money
Nintendo missed a great chance to call Gohma an "A-rock-nid" in this game
It's a good idea but gohma is more iconic so it makes more sense
I love how you can hear the depth's droning descent in here
chance is pretty good but that part at 1:19 gets me EVERY TIME... so good
Love the more subtle version of ganondorf's theme in there
This is one of those songs that sounds kind of boring at first but gets better and better each time you listen to it
1:29 Get him!
The intro reminds me a lot of Bellum's boss battle from Phantom Hourglass
Omg youre so right
I also hear a bit of the theme of Death Mountain from A Link to the Past.
1:29 - 1:55 the best part
I like these “Get him!” parts of the themes
We need an extended version of the chance part!
Love me some totk ost thanks for this 👍
This and Kraids theme from Dread makes me think Nintendo loves heavy piano keys for these giant fire bosses.
is it just me or does it kinda sound like a goron version of the oot boss theme? just a little bit.
This would be sick to see performed live !
I'm listening to the official OST uploaded from the USB from the limited edition of the Soundtrack release and it seems you were fairly accurate with how Nintendo would do this, Colgera and Queen Gibdo
Oh jeez it's a giant crab.
Around 0:40 it sounds like a Pokemon Battle.
Easiest main story boss
1:21 Ganondorf theme
Is It just me or is it that every temple theme has the town Music playing?
The depths version is somehow even easier which is almost impressive.
Where phase 2?
Just fought the thing yesterday, and this boss as easily the WORST visual design in the entire series, it's so uninspired compared to what the dev's have done in previous games or even TOTK itself ! Yet the music is fantastic (love the Ganon leitmotiv they sneaked in there and the whole composition overall) and the fight is just what it needs to be : fun and engaging, so fair enough ! But damn, I would have appreciated a boss as Iconic as Gohma to get a better treatment in this game.
It's definitely the most boring looking boss in the game, but its design does incentivise a cool fight. It's like a big stone talus mixed with that one boss from ALBW's house of gales boss.
