@@thesidedoorjazzclub2798 Heads up, if you copy those timestamps into the video description, RUclips will show them in the timeline of the video itself. Might have to remove the dashes for it to work
Always grateful to the folks who name the songs in a set. Thanks.
Peter Bernstein it's easy to follow if you do.
THE PIANIST like a reincarnated H.Hawes or Vic F, powerful hb attack that takes no prisoners ...
I've never seen a group leader (Bernstein) so obviously , intently listening to the solos of his partners . And ! enjoying each to the max . What a great visual .
Saw him recently at a local club, and he intently listened to the local band playing afterwards for their whole set.
Peter's an outstanding artist and a fine human being.
Joe Farnsworth, drums; Vicente Archer, acoustic bass; Sullivan Fortner, piano ; Peter Bernstein, guitar.
Thank you the Side Door. Really appreciate your excellent production values and the great atmosphere of your club. Bernstein is one of the best jazz guitarists going around, what a player, what a band!
Thanks, Freddie! We love doing what we do and love it even more when an artist of the caliber of Peter Bernstein is in the house! Peter returns to our club on Friday & Saturday, September 16th & 17th, 2022 with drum master Al Foster in his band. We couldn't be more thrilled!
Yes thank you, what a band and what a session ! Really very good stuff.
Marvellous playing all round, but as Miles may have said once ‘What about my suit?’, Prince of Wales check with a pocket square?, lovely 🤓
Fine ensemble led by one of the brightest talents on the scene.
N O LYME DISEASE heah ...ya HEAH ... the Great Dane tickin like a swiss Becker wall clock ...
I came here for Peter Bernstein, but appreciated the whole band, especially the pianist : very sensible, sensitive and tasteful ... Sullivan Fortner, a name to remember.
Excellent playing all around! I’ve discovered a new favorite drummer .
Joe Farnsworth is a legend, a master of the music, a student of Art Taylor, and one of the best of his generation. Welcome to the fan club.
Guitar eloquence with dialed in players, hell to the yep. ☚
The secret to Peter's tone is to put the pick between the 1st frets of the 5th and 6th strings of the guitar.
👏🏿👏🏿
esses craques são melhores que toda premierliga, ,bundesliga, laliga, ligue 1 e o brasileirão ,também.

@@thesidedoorjazzclub2798 thank you - i’m an s f bay area jazz pianist /keyboard player - and i met Sullivan Fortner at a jazz camp thing…. He is mezmerizing - other-worldly in his playing - i will certainly save and watch this again… thanks for your presentation…… there is just so much stellar jazz out ther (i e Emmet cohen …) 😱
Outstanding performance! Enjoy this very much.
FUCKING BOSS..
🌱🌾🙄💛
Une performance magnifique, un pur moment de bonheur musical
Amazing concert! What guitar and how old is this? Thanks
His guitar's a one of a kind, luthier built axe. I'm sure there's an interview online that tells the name.
I think one of the most important things about your guitar isn't the axe itself, but how much time you've spent with it, so you know it intimately. You get used to its specific characteristics. There's a psychological principle called the "theory of cognitive dissonance" which shows that the more we do ANYTHING, the more we like it.
It is a John Zeidler
With this guys Jazz and Melody aren't dead
awesome
Awesome! Does anybody know what object is in betwen the base strings on the first fret of Peter's guitar (@7:12) and why it is there?
I think it was a guitar pick.
wow wow beautiful sensitive performance!
That is one musical bass player.
great!
There's a great story behind that guitar
I cannot help but notice the pick stuck in the strings…. while he’s playing! I guess if you know you’re not gonna be needing the notes below them, you can use the pick as a capo lol
Beautiful playing, btw. A joy for my ears.
It could be because of feedback. So he muted the open strings.
Probably right dude. But still. I would always be tempted to play low strings. And the when you do. Crash!!!
🕊️
yeah baby!
Swing it!
Nicely done...
🔥 🔥
👍👍🔥 🔥
Thanks so much. There is a crackling sound coming from the snare drum or somewhere there. Otherwise, pure enjoyment! Thank you.
