- Brian "Head" Welch left Korn in February of 2005. Their first album, See You On the Other Side, was released on December 6th, 2005. What was it like to record without one of their founding members?

Head returned to Korn in 2013 and has been with them ever since!
He left for Jesus I really respect that he came back when the rest of them got clean I'm sure it must have been so hard to be around them all fucked up like that on a little bus so I respect him leaving even tho I was upset at the time
@@MorvinArmstrongamen. He also got custody of his daughter became a great father. I can’t speak for her but she seems to have turned out great and shines!
Well guess what now he is in holy name 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Even if you aren't into religion or spiritual things you can still really appreciate HEADs solo album. It is absolutely amazing instrumentality and his vocals were very good. Korn is full of talent
There great, there kinda one of the last big, like i mean big rockstars acts, we obviously have popular acts, relax guys. But not like it was..that nu metal wave, as much as alot of old headed hated, was kinda the last dance. Itll come back, it already is. Rap is declining, I love hip hop, but you can see the landscape change. Seasons change.
Still good tho. "Hypocrites" "Souvenir" "Liar" "Coming Undone" all great tracks. "Tearjerker" was fantastic
Tearjerker is fucking amazing!!!
Open up is one of my favs too
facts coming undone is my favorite korn song
Tearjerker, Open up and Too late I'm dead are basically the only good sounds, but they are awesome
I love KoRn's sound! I love hearing them talk about their creative process!
Jonathan can play guitar has well i bet he help write and come up with ideas during that era
Are You Ready to Live? Was actually a song JD completely wrote post Head quitting
Munky is the man and new album wasn't issue but old songs live munky learned to do both parts in a hurry and he will always be my biggest guitar influence
I saw KoRn live twice and they sounded absolutely fantastic both times, to the point where I even briefly wondered if they were using prerecorded audio, lol. Their performance was amazing and I was lucky enough to catch Head’s pick!!! . 🤘🏻🌽🔥
See You On the Other Side is an absolute underrated album. So many memories and relatability… even though Head was missing. 🤘🔥
Hell, that is one of my most favorite albums. I think Munky did great.
Really? This album is mostly terrible, in my opinion.
And he wrote a helluva book too!” And with all my musical hero’s dying off it’s nice to have one carry the life torch if you will.
I still have yet to read both of Brian's books but I'm excited to get my copies
He was going through hell at that time. I don’t blame him sitting out for awhile Sometimes you just gotta get away for minute. Reflect and recollect yourself.
Fieldy was a local at Applebees here in Aliso Viejo, California.
Munky did great. See you on the other side is a great album! Front to back.
Sooooo underrated!!!! I consider this my first album and would listen front to back. My mom said she wouldn't get it for me because it had parental advisory then came out of the store with the CD.. THANKS MOM!
Brian 'Head' is my favorite member of the band musically, but in my opinion Munky did an AMAZING job with See You on the Other Side.
It's my favorite Korn album along with Issues. Two phenomenal albums. Imo SYOTOS is underappreciated..
Ive been a Korn fan from the beginning and always admired Munky and have felt a strang connection with the band. Of course thats why they are so loved. I was in a very dark place, and playing guitar kept me alive. Its the best therapy me. I struggled with addictions, and read about Head and Munkys struggles. They were always honest. (Source... Guitar World etc.) . And it seemed to parrallel my life.
The best guitar I have is the UV 777 its better than Sir Headly and allot lighter!
To make an already long story short.
I found God
I was freed.
Im now 52 and everyone I ever loved or loved me has passed .
This world is about to go through the worst upheaval in known history.
But I DID MY TIME
Not HERE TO STAY
SUOTOS !
You can tell head is 60-70% of the korn sound, the melodies mainly. His solo music sounds more like korn than korns album without brian
lol so true and his vocals got so JD inspired on his own album
I love how he understands how to embody gods love n a godly character and how he touches people so deeply noone could ever truly hate him orbe angry at him. Brian understands more than most bible beating christians i swear God made him for me idk how or why or what that even means. Whomever he spends his time with should always be respectful n humbled❤
I honestly loved that album maybe it just has sentimental value.. I want the album cover art tatted on my calve
i just finished brians books and started fieldys
that's probably why that album was bad because when he was around korn was actually really good
Hey what's up Brandon!! Do miss the Buzz Adams mosho...? I'm from El Paso. Great to see you on here man.
Thanks for checking out my stuff over here! I have lots of content on the way!
I’m also from ep
Think he ever got a date with eyes like that..if he did like fuck it I'd have to shake his hand ya kno.
One thing about James "Munk Doggy Dogg"....he's all that.
this is why if a lead guitarist left and the rhythm guitarist the only one it will be challengeing if ever the rhythm is not use to solos or and of rhe complex parts..
I think munkey did an amazing job! however , I am glad head came back.
He left because he had a supernatural experience , Jesus Christ is real and Brian has always been a source of immense wisdom in his teachings on the Bible. Jesus Christ loves us all! Praise God!
And for live shows they hired a guy to fill in but made him stand off stage behind the fkn amps 🤣
He left out Dave. Sheesh. Look at their old videos of them rehearsing and you see them looking at Dave to check his next move. The whole band was fluid together. Not so much now
Awesome fuking album tho
sorry but i stop listening korn after head was not in the band. his one of the reason why i star to play metal riff. now im back.
Have you ever listened to See you on the other side? Did you hate it or love it? In my opinion it's one of their best albums though Head is my favorite member of the band. Just curious cause I know most people hate that record and all the ones after
This is the only album I dislike and I didn't even know he wasn't there. 😮

Buddy? WHAT
@@Baldstro how are u
Good
:)
Didn't one of them quit to be a Christian or something?
I met head in 2008 and I think he's a good guy he had a drug problem so he quit to deal with it
....and then he rejoined the band in 2013
