"A child who's 53 years old could have a lot of fun with it" haha love that! Thanks for all the content this year. Have great holidays and New Year's, mate! Cheers!
Yes, a SPY Lotus would be great. You could have it either as the road car or the underwater car with interchangeable wheels/fins together with add ons for the rear propellers, and a pop up on the bonnet for harpoons. Oh and let’s not forget the sea to air missile from the roof to take out poor Naomi. My order is in for next Christmas. All we want now is for Playmobil to make it!
Terrific idea! As for poor Naomi, I have a cut scene in my head where she second guesses Bond and dives into the water before the missile hits. Her and Jaws were both trained in near miss self defence techniques at Stromberg HQ.
Great review. I also found the DB5 under the Christmas tree. Wonderful piece from Playmobil! P.S.: My six-year old son loves it too and it actually survived up to know. So the model is quite sturdy, too. :-)
Really cool; I'm definitely biased towards Lego, though, and despite the roundness and proportions being a little off on the Lego DB5, I prefer it. I liked building it from the ground up, gadgets and all.
👋 🎄Happy Holidays...its that time of year , not quite Christmas...not yet New Year's I think this is better than the Lego DB5. Playmobil are knocking out the park. Theres a range of Back to the Future models....& an A Team van too.
It's a beautiful model. It's quite detailed. It looks like a lot of work went into its design, especially the design of the ejection seat. It looks to me like more of a collectible model, as you implied, rather than a toy. There are too many small pieces that can be lost, and it's plastic, rather than metal.
An ASTON MARTIN DB5, tailored for both the more mature and younger modern driver . Built at the Port of Odessa by QKRAINE ENGINEERING ! New poster coming for the ASTON MARTIN DB5, Respoked Edition! To be revealed in the new JAMES BOND novel: “LIVING PAST ANOTHER DAY!” OUT early 2022 !
Really nice!!! My favorite all time toy when I was little was my old Aston Martin DB 5. Think it was made by Gilbert and it had a working ejector seat and the machine guns used to turn red and make machine gun sounds lol I still have it in my house (somewhere!) Not in great shape - old, rusted banged up …..but it still makes me feel like a kid again and smile whenever I see it. And yea - I’m 57 and being a grown up seems pretty darn boring - so I’ll still take my toys, comics and video games over whatever grown up things I’m supposed to like any day!👍🏻😎😎
Much respect to you king I feel the same way as you I just got my first Playmobil set it’s the knight rider set am about to work on it and but my super 7 Michael knight figure in it keep collecting staybless peace
my friend guess what i just got in the mail today and i just finished putting it together give you a hint never sit in my car on the left hand side you might be ejected out of my db5 that q just made for me my db5 gold finger car. thanks to your video i saw it on amazon but it was $89.99 but i waited and got it for $79.99 but not as good as you were i could not get the passenger to eject but after work it got it to work but being so easy to do i did something wrong with eject but all is good now. hey another request that Aston martin you got the limited edition could you do a video on that one also and what it does. like you i am a James bond fan that bond car cost a lot but its going to look good in my bed room. again thanks for the heads up as always forever young god bless bobby lee 007 oh yea i love your gold finger lady painted gold lady. you really are super cool and what a collection you have. bond James bond 007 license to kill not be killed.
@Chris Webber: I agree, I got every single Ghostbusters set from Playmobil when they first came out, since Ghostbusters (1984) is my all-time favorite movie and the spin off cartoon series The Real Ghostbusters (1986-1991) is my all-time favorite cartoon tv series. Getting back to the topic at hand, this is one of the nicest items I have seen as a James Bond fan/collector in a long time. Really glad I got mine when I did. Would not mind if Playmobil did more cars from the Bond films in the future.
David there is a screen used prop for sale on Ebay now from The Living Daylights. I wish I could buy it, but it's $7900. It's a framed tag. In the beginning of the movie the 00 agents were doing a training exercise, and this tag was attached to a rope and sent down to a repelling 00 before the saboteur cut the cord with the attached tag sending the 00 agent to his death. This is the actual screen used tag. Thought you may have an interest for your basment.
On close inspection there is two things missing for that little extra real detail. Playmobil should have added chrome effect to the wheels. & Windscreen/shield wipers.
At 14.22 you call it the Playschool DB5. I can only imagine what that would look like. Great video - I have been considering this as it looks beautiful.
Amazing video. Some friends gave me this "toy" for Christmas, and I love it. And what is better, I never get tired of seeing how others enjoy, just like me, like children with this wonder. I am going to enjoy my Playmobil Aston Martin DB5 for a long time. It already has a special place in my collection.
I just can't make my mind up about this. When I first saw it I thought yes, that looks pretty cool But I don't really collect the toys, then I see a video review of it again and I think 🤔 maybe, just this once...
I'm surprised what a great model this is. Between the Lego or this Playmobil I'd choose this Playmobil version.

@Big Chap Brilliant idea!
Yes! They must make that!
And lol at “poor Naomi.” Yeah that was too bad about her. Lol 😉
Terrific idea! As for poor Naomi, I have a cut scene in my head where she second guesses Bond and dives into the water before the missile hits. Her and Jaws were both trained in near miss self defence techniques at Stromberg HQ.
Also got it for Christmas. I too would like the white Lotus Esprit from TSWLM with of course a Jaws and a Moore Bond in white tux.
Great review. I also found the DB5 under the Christmas tree. Wonderful piece from Playmobil! P.S.: My six-year old son loves it too and it actually survived up to know. So the model is quite sturdy, too. :-)
I do have an 11 year old boy and yes, it is truly playable. Believe me 😎

Got it for Christmas, way cool. Hopefully Playmobil will also produce the Aston from the Living Daylights, to complete the No Time To Die vibe.
My wife gave me this for Christmas. It looks great on a book shelf.
LOL you keep calling Playmobil "Playskool" throughout the video.
It's a beautiful model. It's quite detailed. It looks like a lot of work went into its design, especially the design of the ejection seat.

9:13 thats what she sair lol
This is high class.
Thanks for this, David! I’d love to see you do a video covering all of the different Bond slot car sets you have!
Danbury Mint DB5 is the best in my opinion.
Best purchase I made 10+ years ago
I Can't Wait For Playmobil To Release K.I.T.T. From KNIGHT RIDER. 😃👍.
9:15….Nice David. Channeling your inner Michael Scott, delivery and all lol

Oh I’m so getting one of these now, currently only £40 on Amazon here in the UK. Merry Christmas to me !!
Honestly I would love this when I was younger, shame we never got a 3 inch bond figure line complete with the vehicles.
I bought this and several more, kitt from knight rider and magnum pi's ferrari
I hope Playmobil do more with the Bond licence like they seemed to have done with Ghostbusters.

James Bond Aston Martin DB5. Goldfinger. EDITION okay 👍
Were you in Napel, Florida on Dec 29th. I think I saw you lol

Lego also made this in mini figure form. I had both play school and playmobil as a kid. I have to say its still as great as it was too.
I put the covers on and pushed in the machine guns. Was hoping you would show us how to pull them back out.
Fantastic review David, thank you, just ordered this for a really good price. Can't wait for it to arrive.
Thanks for opening it, so I don't have too.
It’s a great video and I think Lego should do sets of James Bond and do sets from all of the movies including No Time To Die
I am watching Your videos and I’m only a kid
It's things like this that keep me from growing up
On close inspection there is two things missing for that little extra real detail. Playmobil should have added chrome effect to the wheels. & Windscreen/shield wipers.
I got this for Christmas! It's awesome. Btw I'm a 31 year old man child as well. Merry Christmas! Love the channel!
Alright, ya got me, just bought one.
At 14.22 you call it the Playschool DB5. I can only imagine what that would look like. Great video - I have been considering this as it looks beautiful.

Cool Goldfinger collectible. Impressive detail for a “toy.” Btw, what watch are you wearing? Looks like a nice vintage Rolex Submariner. 5512?
Great review!
I just can't make my mind up about this. When I first saw it I thought yes, that looks pretty cool But I don't really collect the toys, then I see a video review of it again and I think 🤔 maybe, just this once...
I need this
Who says the Lego DB5 isn’t up to grade?! I got it for Christmas and it’s AMAZING
I have had the Danbury Mint Bond DB5 for many years. I don't dare touch it, really. It's got all the gadgets and is definitely not a toy.
Car is excellent not fussed about the figures
My ejector seat is very stiff not worked up the courage to push hard in case the plastic snaps😭
You are a priceless guy! ;) I think if I had kids I would get one for the kid and one for me ;)
Here's a question (suggested by the Bond figure in a tux)- In how many movies does Bond NOT wear a tux? Offhand, I don't remember a tux in Goldfinger.
He briefly wears a dinner jacket at the beginning.
Playmobil is a lot like taking a few pieces of a project at once, especially this one!
I got a john smedley sweater for Christmas from my best friend
Your content is amazing. Nice to see a lot of new subscribers
You should get the LEGO one, David!
That’s almost good enough to explain itself
The working ejection seat is worth the prize alone!
That was fun to watch, Love that enthusiasm😀😀
I would love a No time to die set
You don't look 50 you look 36
Want one.
I love the James Bond models made by Corgi Classics. Got 8 of 'em. 🚁🚗 etc.
I'm in the market for a Little Nellie. There are many versions by several makers available. Not sure which to get!
@@chronocommander007 I bought the Corgi version a few years ago. Unlike the new one, mine has a little Sean Connery at the controls.
Great video!!
