These baseball bat sizing tips will help you make the best decision the next time you're on the market for a baseball bat. Been using Rawlings my whole life now passing the tradition on down to my son playing u8. He’s rocking a 11” Gold Glove and could really use a nice glove for when he gets older! Love the balanced velos and the grips are amazing!
Thank you John and Steve for this video... very useful. My son has used the Rawlings Velo since his sophomore year... he started out with the 2014 and also owned the 2015 Easton Mako in his freshman and sophomore years. He also owns the Rawlings Quatro... Quatro has awesome pop, but his preference is the Rawlings Velo. He feels great control with the stiff one piece alloy bat, very very well balanced, and power with speed when swinging the bat. He has tried all the brands out there but the Velo has been his favorite. The BBCOR Velo is an awesome transition bat from the youth and senior league bats when your child is going into high school. I have to emphasize the balance. Believe me, the balance is insane!!! And the sound that comes off the bat when you hit the ball right on makes people turn heads!
Always great products from Rawlings! Right now my son uses a catchers mitt and we just bought a brand new 5150 -5 32" bat.

My favorite Rawlings line is the sandlot series (love the old school look to it). My boy loves his Select Pro Lite.
Lots of good information about the bat buying process. Be aware that the weight of these new USA bats are understated. A 29" drop 10 isn't 19 oz. It's usually heavier by 2 plus oz. That doesn't seem like much but when your are dealing with young players, it is significant, in my opinion. Bat speed and swing mechanics can be affected. Plus it seems dishonest to me.
The is a great video to help explain to young hitters why they should swing a 30" instead of a 32". My favorite glove I used was my heart of the hide, but always wished I got a pro preferred. Also used to swing an old-school Rawlings liquid metal. Hard to pick just one product from Rawlings.
Interesting fact I found out while shooting this vid, in MLB Rawlings is about 50/50 HOH to PP.

Me and my son's favorite piece of eauipment is the Rawlings 1st base gloves. Tried other brands of gloves and we always end up with a Rawlings!! Excellan fit, finish, as well as durability!!

My son always wanted a few different gloves up through the age groups but he turned 12 and tried my fielders glove and my firstbase mitt and he kept asking if he could use mine so finally gave them to him. We looked at Gold Glove Elite 13" 1st base mitt. Yeah it'll be money well spent.

I've always been a big fan of the heart of the hide gloves. Quality leather and a good price. I had one glove for almost 8 years!! Used it throughout most of my college and into a couple seasons of pro ball.

Again good info to help me know what to look for when choosing the right bat for my seven year old, think because his size right now he would be more a get on base type of hitter, not so much in the power hitter range. So guess I'll be looking for faster whip, and better balance.

Man my favorite product has to be the 2018 rawlings velo bbcor. I bought this bat and to it straight to the cage and I can't explain how good it felt to swing! It was easy to control, and my bat speed was increased tremendously. I've used a wood bat ever since I was jh. This is a nice change. I highly recommend this bat

To this day I still have a gold glove series catchers mitt that I used through high school. It is beat up but it might just be my favorite glove because of the memories attached to it.

I've got a Rawlings Heart of the Hide 11.25" infielders glove which is AMAZING. I'm a big guy (6'4") but there's nothing like knowing exactly where the ball is in a glove.
