    They make very good knives. I think you definitely should buy the sheath for it. The sheaths are really good too.
    Nice unboxing.
    Have a fantastic Christmas and greetings from Finland 🇫🇮

      Thanks and yes I will most likely get the sheath.
      btw I am a subscriber of your channel and viewed your review of the small Scrama. I like your style, keep the videos coming. Merry Christmas and HNY.

      Just got the sheath. It is almost perfect. If I could change 1 thing, I would make the sheath a little longer. Just my personal taste.

    80crv2 carbon steel they use is strong holds an edge decent better than most 1095 depending on heat treatment too an takes a edge beautifully too,I love them,they use to be pretty cheap but still cheap for a hard use Bushcraft hard use knife,you can't beat it really

    I have this I bought off someone who made me a custom kydex sheath for it an my skrama 240 bush knife,I love it I had originally bought it's bigger brother the 140,super strong no bullshit knife, nothing fancy but work horse of a knife,I use frog to coat to protect my knives before an after each knife an have had no problem of my knives rusting,I just wipe the knives down before using for food if needed an the sheaths are actually pretty good,the snap on the 140 an 110 even when not snapped keeps the knives from falling out cause of the folded leather an the rubber over mold hande helps keep it from slipping out of sheath too,all you have to do is push knife in sheath had an you hear it kind sink in there,if your worried about it falling out,don't be,you the snap for extra security.

      Thanks for the feedback and other comment / interesting info on the steel. I finally got the sheath for this. It is part of a recent video titled Varustekla goodies if you are interested. Thanks for stopping by and watching

      I saw a video about the various corrosion resistance of several products, mineral oil, WD40, and about 10 others and humble 3-in-1 came out top, by some way. I don't use my 110 for food prep anyway. I just use a little 2.5 inch folder so the oil thing doesn't bother me too much.

    Its a great knife. I bought 4 ,110,and 140 and they work great. I would choose the jakkari puukko over the garberg

    Would love to hear your thoughts after a year. I’m torn between the garberg or this.

      It is a tough call. They are both fantastic but if I had to choose only 1 it would be the Terava with the sheath. I finally got the original sheath and it is very good. Thanks for watching & the question.

    The second time you pronounced varusteleka was probably the closest I heard a foreigner pronouncing the name. The key is the flat E in leka, instead of a sharp one, which would be i in Finnish and would become lika instead, changing varusteleka (gear sledgehammer) to varustelika (gear dirt/grunge/stain) instead.

    • @TinyIslandMaine
      @TinyIslandMaine  Год назад +1

      Well, I’m happy to hear I came close anyway. Thanks so much for the further explanation, I love the term gear sledgehammer!

      @@TinyIslandMaine Another fun detail. That hammer that is their logo and stamped on the blade is "The hammer/axe of Ukko" often mistaken for Mjölnir. Ukko is the overgod of the Finnish pantheon.

      @@TinyIslandMaine The Finnish pantheon is pretty cool and bad ass. :) A good start for the dive could be the painting "Lemminkäinens mother" and the song '"Amorphis - The bee". And of course the poetry of Kalevala.
