One time I had a rough sin to confess. A sin I had completely forgotten about, but was revealed to me after I had confessed another sin. Confession two days in a row. It was an incredible healing! Anyway, while in confession, all of a sudden, something appeared in my vision. It was huge like an angel, but like one in full battle mode. I was definitely not afraid of it. I was more comforted thinking that Heaven has my back. I thought it would be difficult to confess this sin, but instead it was easy. And, I felt so much better. I have never found anyone or anywhere that an Angel would look so ferocious, so I sometimes wonder if it was not the demon behind the sin? But again, I never felt conflicted or threatened by it. I know I immediately thought either way this is a big deal. I've decided it's my Guardian Angel and I like thinking he can kick some demon butt when necessary!

I remember back in 04 when my mother died, I was the one that had to handle her estate. I was going from Boston to Maryland about twice a month then lived back in Maryland for about 2-3 months to finish. during that time my marriage was falling apart, and my alcohol addicted brother had gone off the deep end because of her death. I started to go to confession every thursday and it was the best thing I could have done. It got me through. I wish I had kept up the practice of going weekly because I probably wouldn't have had my stroke three years later. My advice....go and go frequently and if you find a good priest go more often.
Father Brendan, great video. I do have to comment on your mention about writing the sins down. Earlier in the year, there was a conference at my School with a catholic priest/exorcist and he told us not to write down our sins because the devil can read them. That is why we must examine ourselves.
Only power in the name of JESUS.... REPENT AND TRUST IN JESUS TODAY. Follow Jesus not Religion, you will receive the HOLY spirit.. you must be born again
John 20:21-23: Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
Confessing in your head is easy. It's not going to have the same weight and sincerity as having to go to confession, making a great effort, saying your sins out loud, doing genuine penance. Confession, as Fr Brendan is uncomfortable, and it should be.

You ONLY confess to Jesus... he is the ONLY one mediator . He is the ONLY one to forgive sin... turn from religion bondage and turn to JESUS NOW...
