Conqueror still has the issues most APDS tanks have and that is lack of post pen DMG together with the long reload this thing is still a pain to play...
Better then nonpenning and when you pen using for example the Maus 128 u pen and still do no dmg

God why many ppl in this game that are not British mains sucks at aiming because they are spoiled by the bs APHE
It's a pain to play if you brawl with it. Use it at range and remain as a heavy support tank. in that role the Conqueror is unrivaled and will make the enemy team's advance significantly more difficult.
Doesnt matter penning more and being faster when it will just shatter half the times you shoot at someone
And when it does penetrate it still does almost no spall.
Have you ever actually used APDS?
My step grandad use this he said they was the only tank in the western hemisphere capable of destroying an is3/4/7 at that time also the turret was designed to take hits from heat rounds the reason why they didn’t go mass production was because they was too big and heavy engines was loud weak also extremely thirsty
The americans did have an equivalent tank with an even more powerful gun, the M103 heavy tank.

Bro, the British also get nerfed all the time. Unless you’re USA, Russia, Germany or for some reason Sweden. You don’t get many buffs

needs like a 3-4 second reload reduction to be playable
Now if only they could fix the shell shattered mechanic. I can understand a tungsten slug shattering and nonpenning wide spaced armor, but shattering on multiple plates pressed together regardless of the thickness is just infuriating.
Regardless, seeing my boy pen over half a meter flat is just crazy

@@dillianwhyte443 it is very funny that the mechanic makes it nearly frontally immune to the conqueror. To be fair though, irl the upper plates would probably stop it via shattering, though the mantlet certainly wouldn't.
You can ammo rack it in-game reliably by aiming just to the (your) right of the mantlet btw.

Yeah, cent and whole 7.7 lineup is so fun to play probably the most enjoyable br in britain besides 10.3
high pen sure, but the reload super slow and APDS shenanigans make it sometimes to absolutely pitiful damage.
My second favorite heavy tank in the game, behind only the T-10M
This thing is one of my least favorite vehicles to play in a normal match but is both really fun in custom battles with my friends, as well as being one of the coolest tanks in the game based on looks. Personally, I prefer the Caernarvon more because of its manageable reload. (Also, it might be just me but the Centurion Mk.3 feels slower than before)
The only thing I remember about this tank is the constant shell shattering especially on panther turrets

Ever since they touched APDS back in 2022 and fucked everything about it, sure it got more flat pen, but it lost angled pen (which is *_1,000×_* more important than flat pen). It also has the beyond stupid "Shell Shattered" effect that literally no other shell than _maybe_ APCR has, and the damage against thicker armor is actually REDUCED than how it performs against light armor.
Its honestly just better to use HEAT-FS right now. It is WAY more reliable, usually pens more armor, not nearly as likely to do zero damage, and the only downside is that every once in a while it's blocked by bushes or fences. What an absolute joke.
the shell velocity of APDS is extremely nice though imo
Personally love the tank and the British line, rarely have any issue with apds shattering
I'd play today but the server ping and connection loss has been crazy since the event started

The Conqueror has the firepower, but the reload sucks. At least with the Carnarvon, you have the Centurion Mk. 3 turret with the 20 pounder and the shorter reload.

APDS and HESH are in a terrible spot in-game. Especially HESH. A round designed to defeat armor better than standard HE designed for infantry support? Nah...
It is real weird how it works. HESH almost works like a HE shell. It will blow up the exterior parts if the tank, but fails to do much spalling at all inside the tank. If a explosive head, with that much tnt equivalent went of it should one-shot.

APDS still shatters, does next to nothing, or richochets. When they ruined HESH, I quit playing it. It flat out sucks.

I feel like it's almost a crime that this is a thing in warthunder. This was supposed to kill IS-6. I doubt they would have used apds if it shattered constantly. Either fix APDS or add a solid shot shell.

You kidding me? The combination of the slow reload, the lackluster performance of both APDS and HESH, and the overall ineffective armor and low mobility make this thing an absolute joke compared to the M103 and IS-4M.

Means nothing if it shatters. The amount of times I've had a is-6 and it shattered pisses me off. I even had a shell shatter against a tiger 1😂😂😂. I'm not joking when I say that.

As long as APDS deals little to no post-pen damage, this will be a bad tank

getting a little more flat pen, which is literally useless and means nothing is not a buff to this tank. it is still one of the worst tanks in the game
IS-4 is worse but ok.

@@o-hogameplay185 Its gun is utter dogshit, it cant pen anything (it also cant pen the conqueror lol) and it has 35 years reload, its armor gets rekt by HEAT anyway so its not even that useful and it gets overpressured by Vidars anyway.

gun cant pen the conqueror - except just load HE ahs shoot it anywhere on the turret roof or the turret front above the driver's hatch
@@o-hogameplay185 Its litterally just facts, and relying on HE on a half a minute reload gun is just stupid. Dont forget that the conqueror also gets a stabilizator so in a 1v1 scenario the conqueror will always shoot first.

Would you recommend the t72 turms or the t80ud for a 10.0 lineup?
Turms is better, T-80UD is just a worse version of the T-80B at 10.3.
T80ud has better armor and reverse speed than the turms.. I think the turms might have better gun handling? I'd have to check stats, I've had the turms for years now it IS a great 10.0 but I've heard the t80ud is just barely better
@@JoJo-209- UD lacks thermals which really hurts it.
@@JoJo-209- the ud has the diesel engine and the same transmission of the t72 if I'm not mistaken so the reverse speed is the same. The only thing going for the UD is the monstrous armor it has for it's br and very good firepower.
T-80UD because amazing armor and faster autoloader with better mobility because more powerful engine
