Started doing the British tech tree few days ago and fell in love with the crusader III and the SARC MKVI Both feel so nimble and hit with a punch if your smart with them
If you’re taking the Crusader III out without the Corsair F Mk. II, you’re out of your mind. 6x.50 cals with a 1,000 lb bomb and absurd speed/dive/flaps at 2.7 makes it a beast for CAS in this lineup.
Well you asked for a british light tank.... mmm... im gonna say SARC mk6 ( 6 pdr) and the concept , SARC is a beast counterpart to the puma and the concept, which is quite good in my hand but downsides are slow turret, no smoke grenades blah blah blah... try it . I know both are south African, bruh british never built any light tanks after the crusaders after all untill in the middle of the cold war ( Gaijin's idea) 😂
Please can you play the Cromwell I it is like the Cromwell III just you can bring a bit stronger lineup with it Personally I bring the Cromwell III, Sherman II, AEC AA, Spitfire MK Ia and the typhoon mk Ia or the firefly at 3.3
Currently the Crusader III is the ONLY vehicle I play with in WT GRB... with well over 5K GRB sorties and maxed out crew... I tell you that its not Britain's best light tank... its Britain's BEST VEHICLE in WT! However, I cannot agree with many of your statements... first, mobility is far from fantastic, a lot of meds have higher top speed and comparable acceleration and you have no chance to occupy good forward positions before enemy lights or armoured cars set up an ambush, but the reverse is out of this world compared to many other British vehicles and a good average compared to its BR. Second, armor is very WEAK... literally everything can penetrate it from normal ranges and every angle and some of them even capable to take you out on Tunisia from Finland! XD Considering all the aspects of survivability the picture is even WORSE: ammunition is everywhere, and the crew of only 3 is among them. Only the low silhouette emerges as a positive. So what makes it the best and why I like it the most? The GUN... very fast reload, fantastic PENETRATION and the shoulder STABILIZER combined with the truly UNMATCHED turret traverse (I'm easily follow low flying aircraft with maxed out gunner) makes it a REAL GUNSLINGER and even a proven SNIPER up to against its own BR!

This and the Crusader II are fantastic for low tier Britain. They’re some of the only playable tanks, or at least the ones I actually had fun with.

I still have it in my 7.7 lineup 😂 I mainly use it for scouting, it's very capable of killing light stuff though

I have one issue with it,the top speed is horrendous for a light tank
6 pounder wildly underperforms in this game for no reason.

With the spitfire and typhoon or any british plane with the 7.7s you should always use tracers as they set things on fire so quickly
