Only a couple of walls to plaster this afternoon, so this will be nice viewing whilst they dry. Great game again, mate. I liked the one character list i might steal that idea for myself.
Yeah I really think that element of the list worked. Tzeentch Lords don't need back up in combat because they're getting 5 attacks, re-rolling hits and wounds if they get off orange fire and then they still put out enough powerdice that you don't feel the loss of a wizard. I enjoyed the effectiveness of your High Liche, double 3xd6 casting makes your last two spells near impossible to stop without a big dispell defence
@Mercenaryminaturepainter ye I think my high liche priest worked in the end. If you had him with 3 liche priests, I think it would be very egregious. With the mark of tzeecth on the chosen Knight aswel, a nice combo there's not much out there to take them on and take that extra dice away.
2:02 :Cavalry and ogre(sized) models are not the same size according to 6th edition rules (this is most easily asessed by the unit strength table). The hiding only benefits characters in units of the same size so, barring house-rules, a cavalry character can join but cannot _hide_ amongst trolls/ogres/minotaurs/etc, just the same as an infantry character or monster-mounted character. Though they may still be eligible for Look out Sir! rolls against cannons/templates/etc if the unit is large enough. I personally wouldn't mind house-ruling it to be different, but there's a few silly and combo's/exploits that emerge as problematic if you don't do it rules as written.
Yeah the more I read through FAQs the more I realise I was wrong. My logic was that he's not bigger than the unit, so it makes sense that he can still hide in them. I'm not sure if a daemonic mount would work instead. Though those are technically on a larger base size, they're the same unit strength. We did read the rules at the beginning of the game but as I'd already deployed, John kindly let me roll off to see if I could count as having the character be hidden in the unit. It didn't actually end up mattering as he left the unit pretty early anyway but good to know for future.
nice
Great scenario, really fun game, loved how back and forth it was. Well played gents
Thanks as always Ed.
Thank you edward your comments and support is always greatly appreciated ❤
Warhammer Fantasy 6th edition - king of games and game of kings! Well played both and thanks for another enjoyable battle report.
It certainly is. Nothing better than a bit of early 2000s nostalgia

They made mage levels too important. You can't play without a level 4 if you want any msgic to happen or stop it.
