A massive YES to legacy armies on the channel. And another massive YES to ALL the crew in TTT you all create such quality shows in such quantity I struggle to keep up. Definitely well worth the subscription!!!
Yeah fantasy is a wonderful showcase game, those lovely troop formations make for epic looking battles, I'm sure Aos is also full of nuance and tactics but it tends to look like a big scrum in the middle, or look like a 40k game
By far the best Old world battle reports I've seen on youtube. Just the right amount of footage cut out so you can still understand what's happening in the game and take in the great personalities of the players while not ending up being a 2 hours video. Models look sick as well.
I really do love watching the pair of you play. So much energy and enthusiasm in your games! It's great to see. Also great to see Bretonnians getting the love here!
I honestly struggle to sit through battle reports on RUclips but you guys are so good at what you do. You cut out the boring bits and make fantastic videos. The armies are amazing and your personalities instantly make me wanna watch more videos. Great work guys!
Those Brettonians are utterly gorgeous. Amazing work by Fletcher, they were well worth the wait. And props to whoever made the board, it looks awesome. Fantastic work as always!
Great to see The Old World on the channel. Just pointing out some issues with the Vampire Count list as unless you’re playing the limit of 3 from tournament play it’s not legal, also there was a mistake with the Vampire general himself. Vampires can’t cast spells if they wear armour, they have the option to be a spell caster and take armour but that’s just in case you want to sacrifice the spell casting and make a melee lord. You mentioned he was upgraded to level 2 and was wearing heavy armour. The magic armour The Flayed Hauberk allows casting but the Vampire already had The Dread Lance and The Carstein Ring so couldn’t afford to take the armour too. Grave Guard are only core if you have a Wight in the army, necromancers don’t unlock these as core. You can only take 1 unit or Grave Guard or Black Knights per 1000 points. Even if 1 unit of Grave Guard had been made core you still had another unit of Grave Guard and 2 units of Black Knights so would have broken that restriction. You were probably playing with an early release of the Vampire Count army list so if GW made last minute changes your list could well have been legal when you recorded this.
Ah thanks, some good catches there! You’re right, I was playing with a previous version that had been changed. Good catch on the armour and casting though, I missed that - luckily it doesn’t affect this game at all. I’ll have to put a Wight in the list in future and maybe go one big block of Grave Guard and 2 units of Black Knights or vice versa. Looking forward to learning my Vampire Counts properly :)🕷️
@@tabletoptactics The Vampire doesn't need armour as the Zombie Dragon got full plate. Also If your going to take Von Carstein Ring, take an Enchanted Shield or Charmed Shield for a cheap ward save to protect against monster slayer.
@@tabletoptactics. No worries, a lot to take in very quickly and the Vampire/armour situation has caught a few people out. Unfortunately the Grave Guards and Black Knights didn’t really help in the end either. I suspect we won’t often see Skeletons being ran that wide as it allowed 2 powerful units to charge with their full facing at the same time and gang up on them, it maybe would have allowed both units of Grave Guard to get good counter charges into those units too Although I really like the Hand of Dust I think it I’ll run it on a level 1 or level 2 necromancer who’s sole job is to sit in a unit and cast that, The Helm of Commandment and the Hand of Dust might be a mean combo. The main level 4 will probably be given the Sceptre of De Noirot and The Cloak of Mist and Shadows so he can safely hang around behind the rest of the units on his own, he can then focus on buffing with spells, dispelling and using Nehek to return models. He doesn’t need to worry about being stuck in combat and losing most of his utility then. Just what I’m think about doing anyway
@@tabletoptactics Erm, it had a massive effect on the game... The vampire lord couldn't be the general, that would likely have been the necromancer in the big block. They've done this on purpose so if you want a megadethkilly blood dragon style guy then you don't have to worry that much about it dying as then it doesn't lead to the rest of the army crumbling? It also meant the 60 points you spent on the VC could have been spent on a higher level necromancer etc. etc.
I was discussing with a friend this morning, that whenever I see a video from y'all, I get excited. Not necessarily because of what you're playing, but because I know it's going to be good fun regardless. Keep on keeping on, can't wait for more legacy armies! (I'm building dark elves myself!)
Each miniature is ridiculously well painted. All I'm doing is pausing during the army list intro and studying the precise blending and layering techniques. Great production value of the video too.
I just have to say how amazing everything is painted. Just looks amazing. Also the banter was hilarious. Glad the new location has been working so well for you guys, congratulations.
Love the Vampire Counts! They are going to be a super fun army to collect and play. Absolutely gorgeous setup and armies you guys have there, too. Watching you all having fun with these reports is such a treat. Thank you!
Guys, what am absolutely amazing job! I enjoyed every second of it! But more importantly: The length of the match report is perfect! The camera work is really good, the scenery is incredibly well done, your interaction is brilliant and it's just fun to watch your game report on TOW as a decade-long Warhammer player. Please keep up the good work and keep up the good work with new TOW reports. :) You have a new subscriber!
Very nice video, keep up the good work! I notice a few mistakes: - Vampire Lord can't cast spells because he has a shield and armor. - Grave Guard or Black Knights may be taken as a Core choice if you have a Wight, not a Necromancer. - 0-1 unit of Grave Guard or Black Knights per 1,000 points, so the max in your game should be 2 units (not 4). If you had a Wight, then it would be 3. - Flying units do not see over units, so Pegazuses couldn't charge. - Cleaving Blow doesn't work on Monstrous Cavalry.
Fantastic battle report once again. You guys really do make the best Warhammer battle reports! Love your enthusiasm for the hobby and seeing all the beautifully painted miniatures.
You guys do an amazing job showing your enthusiasm and the editing is great. Love that it isn't 40 hours long like other battle reports because I never watch them! I bought the rulebook yesterday and have been drafting up my Bretonnian list so it was a fun watch. Only bcus I've been reading the rules: A rule to know for next time is that levies do not get to use the General's Inspiring Presence leadership. So at 15:30 when doing the terror test, I believe the M@A would have fled. But it seems the Peasantry rule allows them to use other Knightly Vow units' leadership if within 6". Keep up the awesome work, looking forward to seeing some more.
Yes Old World content, with two of my favourite armies! Just a note, I don't know if it's addressed later but just watched the lists... having a Necromancer doesn't allow you to take Grave Guard as core, you need a Wight to do that
Love it, such a different feel from 40K and you guys managed just the right amount of RP too. Hoping to see many more of these including one with Dwarves and Orcs/Goblins!
I only became aware of your canal today through your oldworld battlereports. I have to say, very good, great length, well explained and the joy you both have playing is just cool.
So glad old world is a thing. It feels like an actual, in world, pitched battle with whole companies of soldiers in marching formation. Long live the old world! Long live Tabletop Tactics!

Mad respect for their stance
oh jeah, i really love the players and especially their acting. The excited faces when a special ability comes to effect are awesome!
Yeah legacy or not does not matter in the real world only in GW's own little bubble
Can I just say that the painting and sculpts for the brettonians are insane
Nice to see that it looks like the men at arms were given the same love as the knights. They look fantastic
