Omg, such a polarizing matchup! And finally someone else than just me that plays Deliverers! Great armies and board, keep up the good work. It keeps me hard for heresy!
Primarchs don't get fnp. The equipment only gives fnp to Infantry and Cavalry. It's under the narthcium in the army books. Primarchs have the primarch keyword 😅
@SNBattleReports I don't like point out mistakes on videos, certain you guys because your heresy videos are amazing. I've just had the same mistake with my group where they thought the same that primarchs get fnp. It's people use to the old edition lol 😆
@@Black_Blow_Fly Morty's is built in, OP is referring to the Narthecium equipment that Apothecaries/Primus Medicae have, which specifically only works on Infantry and Cavalry unit types.
really good game, well painted armies, and the mission felt right, i do enjoy the SN house rules and felt that game was played in the spirit of the hobby, nicely done
That's a really beautiful Raven Guard army, I really love the dynamic flight poses -! On WE Turn 2, in the charge, I have a question: when the Red Butchers come into the RG Terminators on an 11" charge, don't they have an obligation to get as many models into base contact as they can? I don't see how the Rampagers could have made it into that combat at all if the units had moved in the order that the charges were declared.
In the case of an atomantic reactor detonating, are the hits not allocated to individual models? meaning, they cannot hide behind say, corax in this instance soaking up a large brunt of it, but must instead pass the saves on their own merit?
@@SNBattleReports the atomantic reactor explosion hits each *model*, not the unit, so you roll for each model individually, and very possible for unlucky praetors to be instagibbed. Normal vehicle explosions inflict wounds on the unit.
Just curious . love the look of the rampagers . what arms did you use for them ? Ive already bought myself some 40K Khorne Bezerkers and am using them so looking forward to them . But overall just curious what arms you guys did use for them :)
I feel like Steve missed a couple of opportunities with the Javelins. If you put them in deep strike assault they benefit from the shrouded and also get to re-roll it. They could also have charged the Predator at the end of the game, they get 4 attacks each on the charge and can glance rear armour, it's worth a chance.
@@SNBattleReports, both types of Land Speeder get a rule called Harbingers of the Legion, it's mostly about stopping characters from joining the unit but it also gives a re-roll to shrouded.
So is there a reason no RG player puts his Dark Furies in like deep strike or outflank? Most times I see them they're in the front or open and generally take every lascannon and volkite to the face the other player has, and are gone before turn 3.
In all honesty, I have been very successful with Deepstriking Dark Furies. Decapitation strike gives them 5+ shroud save making them hard to hurt on Intercept.
Lovely armies! Those Deliverers are especially gorgeous, to my taste! I also play Raven Guard. I think the only big mistake made by the Ravens was not to use the advanced reaction, "Fade to Black" on Corax and his unit against all the shooting that went into them around the 50min mark. The advanced reaction would have given them a 4+ shrouded save against all the shooting that turn, in contrast to the evade reaction, which is only against a single unit's shooting. They would have probably been able to move with that reaction as well; either into the woods, giving them a cover save against the lascannon fire, or tucked up against the ruin to their right, which would have likely cut off the line of sight of some of the world eater's shooting. If most of Corax's unit survived that shooting phase, I imagine the game would have gone very differently from that point forward. That said, good game with two friendly players. Looking forward to more! and more features of the Raven Guard! Thanks for your quality content!
Ah, true. Overlooked that. Just some bad luck and good positioning by the WE, then. Really love your army, by the way. Its beautifully put together and uniquely striking in the paint job, with the armor scratch style highlights. Cool vibes!
Are you sure about Chaplins not being able to take thunder hammers? Chaplins can mastercraft a power weapon, and the FAQ explicitly states which power weapons can be given this upgrade, but I cannot see anywhere restricting taking a thunder hammer...

Well spotted! I was getting mixed up with the Primarch rules from 1.0, when all Primarchs came with fear as standard. At least it didn't effect the results of the game.
🤣 If they are modeled with chainswords, surely that means resin. If your Wysiwyg obsession is keeping you from using them as chain axes, Pardo, surely you can just break them off and give them chain axes?

Yeah, the explosions from dreads hit each model, not unit, each individual model needs to make their own save.

It's not really worth paying for a power weapon and a thunder hammer. That's why I don't take a thunder hammer on my chaplain anymore.
