I grew one in maryland, I bought one from walmart and saved the seeds. It is almost big enough to pick about the size of a softball but not yellow yet but it is starting to change color, it might not make it because the weather is changing, but this is my fault because I started it late, but at least I did prove it can be grown in Maryland.

I just tried a golden honeydew. The juice was just as intense as the green skin, but a lot sweeter. The flesh also had the same texture as a honeycrisp apple. Very good and exotic.

Very helpful. I just bought one & was wondering, 'Is it ripe yet?' What an interesting way to tell! Amazing how it's special to this type of melon.👍🏻😋

    This melon sounds delicious.
Would the removed seeds be mature enough for planting next season?

i have a question... I cut open a golden for the first time ever and the fruit inside was white and just a hint of light green near the rine, but in the center there was a little bit of very light pink color going around it, I then ate it, bit I can't find anything about Pink being part of it, what was the pink color?

This is the first time I have ever seen/tried one of these melons. Maybe I cheated a bit, but cleaned my thumb of natural body oil with afew drops of rubbing alcohol....and the test worked better (than without the alcohol) for me.......
WOW! What a fantastically sweet, juicy and flavorful taste....Since the peel is so thin, I recommend eating it just as you show on the video, as not to waste anything (providing your teeth work OK....lol) Thanks......

So different to watermelon taste. Much, much nicer IMO. Blending up some slices (removing the hard skin and hard though inner skin) for a smoothie can be really tasty, if ripe.

Is this name golden honeydew the word used in schools? And is an american word or british?
Oh I don't know that fruit in new for forigner countries. Here if we say in our language watermelon it incloud that yellow and the red inside and green inside. I'm glad you love it. Try to eat it when it still green and small you'll have a great taste is like the a mix between cucumber and its sweetness
