Saw powerdrift, zig wheels and your review on the xuv till now. And honestly your review was the most detailed by far ❤️ not comparing. Just saying 👏🏻 Great content !
What a crisp, clear and professional review. Till yesterday we were contemplating between Tiguan, Tucson and Innova crysta. But now almost set on XUV 700😀
I remember watching Sirish's review on the xuv500 on overdrive years ago and now watching his review of the 700. Have always been a fan of this guy! ❤️
Mahindra has dropped a bomb in the segment! Each competitor has its own deficiencies in some or the other sense. The XUV offers a complete package with the best of all worlds. Pricing will play a major role but what's more crucial is whether Mahindra would be able to cater to the demand amidst the semiconductor shortage. 10 month waiting periods would be a deterrent for most buyers.
What a review man. Your energy was infectious there, Sirish 😅. Shows us how good the car is. My only concern is how safe the plastic tail gate will be in case of a rear end collision. Hope Mahindra reinforced it internally with metal elements.
Just in case you get a hit from behind , can it be dented out and repainted like before ? I guess it would be like a bumper. Either move around with a broken one or change the entire tail gate everytime.
This SUV looks so good, that if I find Rohit Shetty throwing XUV 700 off the roof just like how he does to the Scorpio, it will definitely break my heart. BTW an awesome review.
@evo India ... what was the milage it delivered with diesel automatic?? What should we expect in day to day / bumper to bumper traffic ??? & how was the Diesel Auto gear response ... was it sluggish or right up at par with DCTs ??

This is not a BMW X5 but for the price tag that it comes with, its a veru special car that is single handedly changing the Indian car market scene
Mahindra and Tata have truly come of age. We Indians, the car buying public, need to support them by buying their vehicles. The vehicles have the merit. The pricing is phenomenal. The quality is very good indeed - world class. All this warrants our loyalty.

That’s an amazing Review Evo India. I am confused between the petrol automatic XUV700 vs Jeep Compass petrol Automatic. What do you think? Your opinion will be of great value
Hi. Very confused on the detailed features for AX5. Does it have Auto AC and foldable OVRM and Rear Parking Camera? Carwale app shows it has, but some reviews say it does not. I booked AX5, and these features are very important for me. Thanks.
Man I really think what would have happened if that 200 ps motor was on a sedan . I know suvs are on the rise but really a sedan which weighs less and corners better would have been awesome . Maybe a estate option would also have been great . Like the Volvo cross country.
Why do i feel this review was more honest and more comprehensive than the autocar India review? Autocar review seemed a bit rushed and didn't cover all the aspects of the car including the 4 wheel drive handling on off road tracks, also i was doubtful about the steering at low speeds because if it is light at higher speeds it would be so light at lower speeds which was not covered by autocar. I am highly impressed by this review. I have been following your series of gone but not forgotten but i never saw any of your review videos but now that I have, I am surely going to first check the evo India channel over autocar.
Very good and detailed review guys. This has become my go to review channel now. Rest of the reviewers are too commercial and Sirish connected with a lot of us with his zen throwback video. That being the car I learnt to drive on, connected me to the channel even more.
I will opt for Safari black Gold XZA+ (6 Seater) I have taken both XUV 700 & Tata Safari Gold edition test drive. I could not resist to share my experience. Step inside the cabin, and I felt it to be a tad bit more welcoming and luxurious than the 700. It looked old school, rather than tech-heavy. During the drive, my thoughts were found to be right. The acceleration was very good. The engine and gearbox were well-tuned which meant that the engine was in its sweet spot 80% of the time. NVH was miles ahead of the 700 - I felt that the damping is better in the Safari. Even though down by 100 Nm in terms of torque, it felt faster than the 700 and was more usable. Ride and handling was neck and neck with XUV with the Safari being a bit more silent in potholes. Where XUV700 gains: # The large touch screen and the digital instrument cluster # 360-degree camera - this helps a lot in tight situations # Ease of drive - once inside, the XUV shrinks to the size of a hatchback. Coupled with light steering, it felt car-like to drive. # Active safety features - ADAS # A slight bit larger boot space with all rows up Where XUV700 and Safari are neck and neck: # Handling and ride quality - I could not tell the difference (even in the 2nd and third row) # Braking - was very good on both cars # Sound system - The Sony and JBL are neck and neck here. Though I felt that Safari's JBL system had more punch in lower volumes, while 700's Sony is better at higher volume levels. # Seat comfort levels - even in the third row are comparable between the two Where the Safari is better: # Engine and gearbox - felt much faster despite lower figures (due to time tested Fiat source engine & reliable Hyundai source TC) # NVH levels - for some reason, the Safari is better and feels more expensive # Door pads looks and feels more expensive than the 700. The dashboard too looks old school (with a soft-touch top layer) and adds a sense of luxury (personal opinion) # Genuine leather & Ventilated seats in 1st & 2nd row@Safari Gold edition. # Interior@ Safari Gold edition feels more premium than XUV 700. # Better road presence & butch appeal of Safari # Also terrain response system@ Safari is a boon for Normal, Wet & Rough road conditions I am now inclining towards spending a lot of money on a flagship Tata product. I really want to buy the 700, being a newer and tech-heavy car (niggles aside ) I expect more issues in 700 than Safari, since it has been almost a year since the launch of the Safari. Tx.
I am getting excited! This will be a game changer and disrupt the SUV market like i20 did in 2008 with all its advanced features. Really good product by Mahindra. Thar will be my all-time Love and XUV700 will be the next after Thar...Thanks a lot Anand Mahindra! Mahindra and Tata making India proud 🙏
If Mahindra XUV700 has plastic or say fabric boot, doesn't that cost much for the customer to get the boot repaired if hit with any other vehicle from the back or even say if met with an accident at higher speeds by lorries or buses? Is it a safer body or something we should worry about as we progress into future? Because, that thought of plasticky thing will keep running in our mind if this doubt wasn't clarified. Please clarify this thing asap.
Awesome review. The XUV700 is just fantastic. I wish mahindra were making hatchbacks and sedans as well. We would have got some serious hatchbacks that are solidly built, well equipped and great performance and handling.

My only concern is how safe the plastic tail gate will be in case of a rear end collision. Hope Mahindra reinforced it internally with metal elements.
These are company made fibre panels, they are more durable than a sheet of steel.
many foreign cars have fiber tailgates which are very safe and durable..... In India there is a wrong notion that only Heavy = Safe
It’s not the tailgate that protects you in a collision but the body and underbody crash protection
Too many retard classic 350 users who think heavy means good n strong.
Just in case you get a hit from behind , can it be dented out and repainted like before ?
I guess it would be like a bumper. Either move around with a broken one or change the entire tail gate everytime.
