This has been the only review which has detailed every bit of the car very well. All others have over-hyped it, this one has been very well balanced. Appreciate it.
i initially watched Autocar India's review... and that felt somehow Renuka was more into selling the product rather than truly evaluating it for its worth pros and cons both.. but Rohit's Overdrive review has just bowled me over... so much depth stats infos like the door handle issue with vallet parking or the details regarding the suspension!!! 🙏🙏 In the end what he does makes me more convinced to switch my Thar booking to AX7 fully loaded AWD top version... Did you get the XUV 700 AWD then? How's performance? I have also booked Thar and thinking to switch to AWD version of xuv700. Was it good decision or any regret after it? Or any alternative for this car?
This car makes Compass, crysta, harrier look way overpriced. Imagine this car's base model is almost near the cost of top end venue. Damn that's amazing pricing. This goes to show how much we are over paying currently in the name of SUVs
Your reviews are one of the most detailed and objective that I have come across on the platform. The wat you dash up your reviews with technical details reminds me of the way our mothers used to put “tadka” in the dal. Accentuating the flavour and also retaining the originality of the dish! Bravo!
Lovely review, like always. I like to check everytime an embargo is lifted and I always find OD to be most impartial. Mostly the other reviewers act as marketing agencies to OEMs. Thanks for all your critics and inputs OD team.
Wow! I never thought I would watch a 36 min car review and still wish it lasted longer. All other reviews of this car just mention features, pricing and add to the hype. This goes beyond all the hype and shows practical aspects and even some negatives. Kudos to Rohit for being so patient and thorough. Thank you!
Certainly one of the most detailed, honest and well articulated reviews by Overdrive on XUV 700. From the initial feel of the vehicle [digital exp only] it looks premium in the new vibrant colors. The engine options, coupled with the power and torque values are at par with a segment higher. The long list of safety and comfort features will add to the waiting list that you spoke about - considering this is India and we all love to go gaga over these features, making a sense of occasion. Yes, competition should be be shock with this kind of aggressive pricing of the Xuv700 - a very startling realization both for the respective companies and for us, the consumer too - we had been paying so much more, for so much less!! Jeep Compass - Puny SUV [if i may say so] with unrefined cabin and a sense of space which is marginally more than the Eco Sport. Highly overpriced, fleecing consumers by making them believe, that they own something special. A very ordinary compact SUV and extracting millions - not worth the money Safari - well priced and proportioned in terms of size and features. Certainly looks like a stunner, all around! Hector Plus - Doesn't deserve to be here in the list - unknow brand, ghastly shape. Looks like an OLD Man / Lady from the rear. Nothing stand out about this vehicle. You can easily delete it from the consideration list. At least i have. Alcazar - Not to be compared in the same frame of reference. The vehicle is more like that sleek lady in red, ready to go for the party. Unlike the XUV 700 whish is more like the stout man ready to dress up like the Jockey at the horse race turf. Innova Chrysta - Same segment but for a different purpose. This one is more for the Chaffuer driven. While i think the XUV 700 is offers more for he driver, to exp that adrenaline rush provided by 200+ horses from the Petrol Engine. This value proposition from M&M is certainly a winner. A great job done [ as it looks to be] by the company to bring it to the Indian Market

Even with a gradual price hike after a few months which will happen for sure, this is still solid value. Performance is brilliant and it is a complete package. Mahindra has hit the jackpot
Thank you that Rohit did this review. I like his nitpicking and the way that front door looks is funny. It's worth 36mins video. Nice to hear Mahindra worked on suspension otherwise within month of use whole car wobbly.
Rohit, this has been one of the best reviews from you. The product is impressive so is its price. I was checking the announcement of price multiple times to disclaimers. Good review and nice vehicle.
Wow..what a fantastic review and what a fantastic car!! A Really proud Indian product..I Love it....One thing we Indians should realize...we are paying too much price for all the foreign vehicles.. I would say almost 1.5 to 2 times the price in other countries. Time to support good cars from Mahindra and Tata
Seen almost all major auto channel reviews for the xuv 700 unveil...but man u r on a different level. Very level headed, very clear in thought and presentation, no shoutiness, absolutely refined.........lets just say just like the car...but without the downsides .... fantastic stuff OD, esp Rohit! Love the XUV7oo. However it misses few things: 1) ventilated seats 2) auto dimming rear view mirror 3) second row seats has no sliding back or forward 4) sun shades for second row 5) no modes like zip zap zoom on Petrol version 6) no ambient lighting 7) XUV7oo projection by side rear view mirror on the ground Wish these features were available, it would have been a full packaged SUV.

I have been lurking in this car and this segment for too long now and have gone over comparisons and reviews from every guy out there.. Hi Rohit, its quite a review. I have been following your videos for sometime and i must say, u do a great job in bringing out the real insights of a vehicle. I really loved the 700 but i have a question- with all the new features and hardware, will it be more on the maintenance side to carry ?

Also the pricing, if I am not wrong is for 5 seater XUV700, so have to watch for 7 seater prices. And yes 11+ lac onward price cars should be worried spl. Kushaq and Taigun.
Very honest review than any other channels covering THE XUV 700 story. All the whims and fancies are good to have but miss a bit of usability when it comes to India driving conditions and thrills that the drivers are looking for esp. while driving M&M SUVs
Thats a lot of car for the money. Cars in the segment below are also going to feel the heat. I really appreciate Mahindra getting features like ADAS in to an affordable price bracket. This will definitely change the game.
