If Honda wants to survive, then need to have a sub- four meter SUV and a micro suv which can bring the volumes. Apparantly, Honda doesn't seem to be too interested. Also the Elevate should have atleast another power train in the form of a mild hybrid or a turbo charged engine.
Honda will survive with its current line up They won’t thrive but they’ll survive In my college / workplace environment, the most common sedan is the city , most common mid sized pseudo suv is the Korean brothers and the most common small pseudo suv is the venue But you’re right , with the elevate to eat into the mid sized pseudo suv market , Honda needs a small pseudo suv and the jazz to finish its line up Fingers crossed for the accord But I think Honda might bring in the city LWB ( currently exclusive to China ) to India since a number of city owners have drivers and there is no proper sedan between 20-30 lakhs range that can be used to be chauffeured around in
Looks like a well rounded vehicle and a sound performer in the entry level engines category. It has all the essential kit and some more, though only meaningful feature that's still missing is ventilated seats. Another powertrain, either eHEV or a 1.5 turbo would have provided options to everyone, though these make smaller proportion of the volumes so Honda isn't missing on much. It will all go down to price and if its priced at par with City, it will be a complete package for the price.
Yes, but smaller in size. For fuel lines, brake lines and wiring harnesses. May also include exhaust piping. Additionally, adds strength to the chassis.
OD: Why is everyone ONLY showing the ZX, where is the comparison amongst the variants, surely not all variants will offer the features you show, interiors for example? Nothing about what we can expect from the SV, V, and VX. No Comparison of the “Wheel & Tyre Sizes” , will the Ground Clearance change, does the drive differ without the 17” alloys or other pertinent/marked differences. I’m sure many of us need information that will make the decision making process easier. Prices of each variant, differences of each variant and which variant will be a "Value for Money" as not all want the fully loaded ZX. Hope the pricing is sensible and Honda doesn’t muck it up...

I think OD and other reviewers are trying "very hard" for the Elevate to make a "case" for itself, problem is the "disruptive" launch of the Seltos facelift has just made it impossible for Honda to reveal the "prices" of the Elevate: looks like Honda India is gone into a "huddle" as to what to do after the pricing of Seltos facelift was announced. It's an underwhelming product any which way you look at it: performance and fuel efficiency are going to take a big hit with this depressing Elevate! It has just one NA engine and two transmissions: inexcusable; feature list not being generous I can live with but not the same old NA engine and CVT/manual gear box in a vehicle that's 150 kgs heavier and brick like aerodynamics. What ever the dynamics there's only that much a 121 bhp NA engine can do to move the Elevate! No matter how hard you try to 'Elevate' it, it will fall flat on it's face...
As a owner of elevate since 6 months there are few things which makes daily driving not easy - 1. Lack of under tigh support in the front seats and lack of foot area this cause pain in the tight and ankle after long drive 2. please dont take the dual tone as during hot summer - the area around the sun roof area gets super hot in summer even with the sun roof cover you will feel the heat on top of your head while driving and after few hrs both the front passengers will feel the heat and you will be exhuasted after driving. I am not able to find the solution to this and i am disappointed with the lack of engineering skills being executed in this car
i was able to improve the under tigh support and lower back support. I took the car to a seat fabricator, and he added extra firm foam in the under tigh area and lumbar support area now the seat feels like a recliner. I am very happy with this solution.
I'd have rushed to a Dealership, had they included the City's Strong Hybrid as one of the Options. Like me, I believe most Indians are still obsessed with "Kitna deti hai?" and rightly so.

What review for a dying brand in India! To be honest, there is no turbo petrol ever offered by Honda for Indian customer from the date of inception. What a shame! Offer turbo engines, offer better transmissions. I have been watching 1.5NA since my childhood! Why no change? Does these Hondas don’t take Indian customer seriously? Honda? Why no Hybrid?
