- I had an issue tonight where we backed our Model X into the garage and suddenly received several system warning messages:
Regenerative braking disabled
Traction control disabled
Stability control disabled
ABS (anti-lock braking system) disabled
Park Assist Unavailable
As well as several other warnings about autopilot and such. I first tried a soft reset, but that didn't work, so I attempted to power the vehicle down as that is known to clear errors. Again, that didn't work, so I finally performed a hard reset thanks to a suggestion given to me by a friendly Redditor. Check out the video to learn the quick and easy way to perform a hard reset on your Tesla.
Thank you!! This video saved me! I live 3 hours of highway driving from a Tesla shop. Unplugged all my usb cords, turned off sentry and powered off for five minutes. Every error message was gone and my car is back to normal.
This helped clear the malfunctioning headlight error, after I replaced my light bulb and confirmed it was working. Thanks
Sweeeeeeeeet! Thank you. Every error message in the world popped up and the car won't start. It's 100 degrees outside. Left the car at the grocery store, got a ride home, going back when it cools off to try this hack.
Phew! thank you so much for sharing this, it fixed this issue for me. I have a 2023 Model X 20 Inch wheel, never had this issue before, had a flat tire and got it replaced and suddenly today while backing heard a loud thud and all these alerts popped up. No proper info on googling and ended up on this video and performed the steps you mentioned for wheel update etc and post reboot all the alerts went away.. thank you again.
Awesome. U can also disconnect the battery terminals (both + & -) & disconnect the 1st responder cable on the top left. That will reset everything after about 1min
This helped me clear the message "Unable to charge - Service is required / Charge port component is not detected", which prevented me from switching back to my old charge port when the new one I installed did not work.
So the left side of my instrument display in my model S went dark none of the resets would fix the issue. I tried your method and it worked, Thanks
This happened to us and once I changed my tire size it works , saved me from having to tow my car thanks 🙌🏻
Unfortunately this did not work on my Model X - tried a couple of times.
2024 Model X comes up with similar alerts when steering wheel turned hard to the right. Thanks for the reset advice
Thank you so much ! Just went through a flash flood and got all those errors. Reset and got everything working
Thanks for the video. Saved us a service trip.
Had the same errors on my 15' Model S .. Did the wheel recon thing and the error disappeared just to reappear as soon as i startet driving again.. 😆
Yeah, if it’s a more serious issue I would expect the error to come back
@@allyourtechtesla yeah, ended up replacing the ABS sensor and the cable had wear on it. A week later and the error is back, this time without wear on the cable.. 🙄🙄🙄
Just got the same problem while playing around with autopark. Same errors that you got but cannot fix it with changing the wheel configuration.
Doesn’t work on 2021 model Y, only seems to reboot the screen
Did the error message ever come back on?
How do i do this on the cybertruck? I dont have the option to do a wheel configuration because it only has one wheel size🙃
Were you in the "Service" menu like the Techs at Tesla use or does your software have service selection while not entering into the "Service Mode"? (I have an S so my car could be different)
I have a 2015 S, it's the same. I changed mine from 21" to 19" and it rebooted just like the video.
@@graphicsgod Thanks. What mode(s) do I enter to get to the choice of wheel size? My car has the latest S/W from Tesla update. Thank you.
thanks man you are a lifesaver. it works now!
You sir are the hero of the day . Worked a treat !!!
Didn't work on model 3 for me
maybe you find another solution? have same problem after night
@@PyBodis Turned out to be a faulty wheel speed sensor. Tesla replaced it under warranty.
🎉🎉🎉
My car was stuck in Neutral. This help get it to park
FOR SURE WORKS EVEN FOR MY 2016 model s
did some one have this problem on model 3 ? can't find how to fix this problem 😡
Yea I had steering wheel assist reduced and it couldn’t steer.
@@coolmahims5did this fix your issue?
You are a life saver!
You’re a life saver man, thank you!!
Thanks it worked on my model s… did the codes ever reappear ? So for good for 1 day
How did it go
Hi! I have the same error codes on my MS P85D. Have you driven the car after this reboot? Did the errors come back?
If the error keeps coming back I would schedule a service appointment. Normally for minor issues a reset can help resolve the problem unless there is a bigger issue (hardware failure of some type)
i have the same issue sir but the service center appointment is after 2 weeks
@@allyourtechtesla question sir do you still driver you car sir? even you have active alerts sir?
My tesla is less than 1000 miles. I tried to reset wheels and others but no luck. Scheduling for appointment to fix this frustrated error.
Updating my MYP took 5 days to replace front motor inverter. I had model 3 loaner. When picking up, I carefully checked the frunk that totally loosing the cover because the Tesla technician did not install all the snap-in clips back. I complained to the front desk right away and it took another 45 mins to fix it. Tesla bellevue is worse.
Thx this fixed my issue
It works!!!!Thank you
See if it happens again. Thanks man!!
Didn’t work on my 3
I’m having the same problem had it in for service 3 times. And just got it back and less than 50 miles same error codes
What did they diagnose the issue as each time you had it in for service?
Thank you!
Sadly didn’t work for me
If it doesn’t work, you likely have a real issue and need to schedule service
This is a reset not a fix
It worked
