Fix for Tesla Autopilot unavailable

If your Tesla won't let you engage autopilot and you see warnings that cruise control is unavailable or that autosteer is temporarily unavailable this fix may work for you.
First, try restarting and powering off the car. If that doesn't work try this service mode trick that I demonstrate in this video.
