Absolutly embarrassing from the town fans I'm not going to lie. People have a short memory, remember where we were this time in 2021; a mid table, dull league one team and now look where we are! This year has been absolutly incredible, those players deserve so much credit. Shameful
Although you’re in a great position. You should be kicking yourselves at dropping 2 points against a relegation fodder in QPR. Especially when you’re competing against the 3 relegated clubs from the Prem with parachute payments. Atm Southampton are in the driving seat for that second automatic promotion spot. But despite crushing you 4-0 Leeds are in just as worse form as you guys. Got to get a winning going again soon especially at such a crucial stage of the season.
I am disgusted with those fans that were booing. All teams go through periods where their form drops a little and Ipswich are currently experiencing that, not helped by the sudden spate of injuries/illnesses (half of the usual starting 11 were missing last night). The team managed to gain a point, despite playing poorly, and although Southampton are closing on them they still managed to pull a point further clear of Leeds and are 17 points ahead of 7th place! Fans should be celebrating that achievement and providing support and encouragement rather than criticism!!
That 2-2 against the only team in yellow and green if you know what I mean, started it all.
@@ramadamming8498 Yeah, and I suppose those 'fans' really believed Ipswich would be second in the table at this stage of the season. Got to look at the bigger picture.
@@clivemorris5622 maybe they are the ones from Essex? I mean, at the Carra, there's no booing until we mid table two seasons in a row and play like Hitchin Town reserves.
If you look at where we were last season, we were going through the same thing as we are now but in a lower league. When you put this into consideration, it makes this draw a lot more palatable. Prepare for a struggle through January but we're on the right track. All the best to QPR in the new year.
Championship’s a different kettle of fish. I’m a Derby County supporter and we were 3rd at the end of 2014 during the 14/15 season. You were up there with us too, but then last 10 matches we imploded and ended up dropping from 1st at the end of February to finishing 8th and you guys pipped us to the playoffs that season.
Spurs fan here. I come in peace! the last time that I was privileged enough to visit Portman road, was when George Graham was our manager I distinctly remember that the only chant from the away end that day was the fact that we had a shot on target in a rather embarrassing defeat. I look forward to the day that Ipswich fans can visit us at the new WHL, and I can go back to Portman Road with happier memories. My point is that I have always found Ipswich town as a very accommodating place to visit. and a very community inspired club. I look forward too welcoming you all to WHL again.
I think that might have been the FA Cup game, 3-0?
@@kevinbailey3384 No it was the league game in Dec 2000. The FA cup game was in 1995. 3 years before Graham was manager. Let us not forget that Ipswich did the league double on us the following season 2-1. in both games. The upside of this is that it led to the Gooners sacking. But thanks for the memories 😃.
We go again, still second going into the new year. Great video and love the keepie ups maybe you should of played last night 😂
Cracking post mate. Keep up the good work. 🔵⚪️
My son Jake & nephew Blake were so chuffed to bump into you :-)
Disappointing result but we still 2nd and have had an amazing 2023, thanks for all the super uploads this year Alex.
uuuurrrrsssss....thought we was really unlucky not to get the 3 points.....all the best to town and happy new year...#werqpr
Sir Bobby robson stand support was dreadful for most of tonight and has been for much of the season. We sing when we are winning and having success but not when the team actually needs it.
What about the support when the fan died
@@leodale8732what more are we supposed to do? We gave them a supportive clap and let the professionals do their job
@@leodale8732 eh?
@@tomlittle4249 make noise during the game is one option and join in ?
Agree . Too much negativity from the fans. Not sure what people expect. At the beginning of the year we were looking at Playoffs in League One
My season ticket seat was around where you are sitting! This was when it was just the 'North stand', before the second tier was built (we.had to be relocated for a season when it was built) and from where the stand emptied onto the pitch when our place in 2000 playoffs at Wembley was secured. Of course we followed to watch the 4-2 win against Barnsley. Can't believe that was 23 years ago! Last few games have been frustrating!
We gave you a good game to say where we are in the table hope you get promoted mate
a super hoop here great draw for us and it was a pen lol good luck to you boys enjoy the ride we have all been there
On the plus side we kept a clean sheet. We've been fortunate that Leeds have lost their last two games. Many countries have a short break in the season at this time of year but whether the FA/Championship/PL will introduce that is probably unlikely. In a 46 game season there's bound to be the odd game like this one. This time last year, how many Town fans thought we'd be second in the Championship? Now for Stoke on New Year's Day! Thanks for al your hard work covering Town games, Alex.
Wehhh I'm in this
Frustrating game but at least it wasn’t a loss - from Blake (him and Jake were so happy they talked to you!)
“Ramando has just spawned in” 😂 Great to see him back in vids 👍 As for boo boys. Get a grip FFS. Embarrassing. 2023 has been best year in for Town in nearly 20 years. Fingers crossed 2024 is just as good #COYB 🚜💙
Impossible to win every game, fans are getting too cocky . Good to be optimistic but not cocky .
Love your videos Alex. Always look forward to seeing them.x
The boos at full time were wild after what that players have given yous so far
Aimed at the ref?
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 Always blame the ref when you don't win.

Good morning Alex Griffin
Watch the home attendances drop if we don’t win in next few games. That’s the problem we have, too many fair weather fans. Look at teams like Sunderland. Packed our stadiums even in league 1
And Norwich 😉
Great video and thanks 2023 see in 2024
Think McKenna made a fe mistakes yesterday should of been Brandon at left back, Clarke on the right and put Humphrey’s in the middle with luongo. Dom ball in the middle was a strange choice aswell for me! Ladapos just hasn’t played no football and it showed hard to be critical on him when he’s barely played! But he doesn’t often get it wrong and I still love him and you just move on. Strange game. Strange atmosphere with everything that happened that night. Hope the lady is ok 🙏
Ladapo isn't good enough for this side, and will leave in January.
Clarke had an Achilles problem and so your idea of playing him for most of the match wouldn't work.
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 yeah I agree ladapo isn’t this level.
How do you know Clarke had an Achilles problem? Why would he bring him on and play him if he had an injury 🤔? He looked fine when he came on.
@@suffolkbikelife it was in the news / at the press conference. He's nursing it, so he can play but ideally better to rest it.
McKenna trusted in his squad players and they let him down in the main
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 fair enough lad I didn’t see that! That’s understandable!
Yeah to be far the squad is limited at the moment. I agree the squad is limited I’m not knocking McKenna trust him 100 percent.
Hopefully we will go and spend because it’s clearly needed!!
I'm starting to realise we are going through the same thing as last season, some Town fans were toxic which we only really experienced in the last 2 seasons ago or longer so I don't get why they are booing
Because they are basically idiots, who we can do without quite honestly
Ipswich Town have well and truly bottled it😂😂😂😂 knew they couldn't handle the pressure
There second still? You can’t say they’ve bottled it at all. Was always gonna have a stage like this if we come out of it and are still in second then we’ve smashed it.
After the Gaza war the rebuild cost of $50 billion dollars is expected to be paid by Gulf countries over many years. Paid soldiers from Pakistan may act as an international peacekeeping force during the initial rebuild. However, Pakistan is unlikely to get $80 billion dollars investment from the Gulf countries now to repay loans in the next two years.
Top video Griff mate, good to catch up! I stand corrected Southampton are 16 games unbeaten not 16 wins 😂 onwards to 2024 come on you blues 🔵⚪️
Southampton are coming mate
17 games
Can't begin to believe that our fans were booing, shame on those that did. Wholesale changes due to injuries, which hasn't happened for a while. Transfer window will be interesting. One at the back, cover at left back, another centre mid and two up top. Missing Sammy and George so much in that game.
Disappointing of course but we had many players not available due to an illness in the club. I am worried about Stoke now that Shu is in charge, hopefully some senior players will be back for that. Still if you had said 2nd place at new year we would have thought that was absurd ! COYB !!
Stoke will be tough now, yet the players able to play will give their all
That point against Norwich looks like a cracking result now
Put it this way right, was shit yesterday but they kept it 0-0 strangely as our strongest team has conceded in the first 15 mins 10 times this season including Rotherham lol. Football is weird but I hope our main starting 11 is back fast and we get rid of some of our L1 bench. Lucky yesterday was qpr and we got a point. Been a fantastic year role on 2024
McKenna has to see now how crap Ladapo is. I don't think I saw him sprint once....never got out of 1st gear. Look at the difference Jackson made when he came on. Freddie is a L1 player at best, which is why he managed to score plenty of goals last season.
I think he was sprinting his just slow 😂. I don’t think Jackson will cut it either though how we play. Hopefully g sign a striker!
It's OK you will get 3points Monday this is from a stoke fan
Leeds fan here, you guys have nothing to worry about ,your going up unlike us we’ve screwed ourselves ,good luck you’ve done whats needed
really important for ipswich that morsy has made himself unavailable for asia cup and luongo has retired from international football, imagine losing those 2 now for a month or so, on top of injuries, would have been curtains for the chance of a top 2 finish?
Morsy is African cup of Nations .
I went to this game considering the injuries and illness and forced changes ipswich still did well too get a point at the end of the day in the old days they would have lost this game showed fight from a ipswich fan in Somerset
Typical of most football fans. If they’re team is winning, it’s all happiness and joy. But because Ipswich have drawn their last 4 games, and teams are closing in. They boo their team off the pitch.
Ipswich fans, just think what the Ipswich team has achieved, and where they are. Over these two seasons. You should be ashamed of yourselves, and be thankful that Ipswich town are a team of fighters. Go town, and I’m praying for the injured team mates to recover quickly
To add some context, it was only a tiny, tiny, tiny, minority booing, so please do not tar all of us with the same brush
@@kevinbailey3384 I realise that Kevin. This team has a great fan base, it just sucks when you get boo boys,
They need to think what their team has achieved from league one when they win every match in the last part of the season, to where they are now in the championship
Hello
Alex Griffin
Any Ipswich fans booing with season your having ,need to get a head check fkn diabolical wouldn't happen at most clubs .
Typical town fans, all crawl out of the woodwork when they're winning, quick to get on their backs when it doesn't go well, if they were mid table the ground would be half empty.
@@dannym670 shite support the worst I've ever heard to be honest ,I wouldn't want to be about in that atmosphere, you'd think after 6 years in league one to were they are now ,the place would be hectic with noise whole time sad supporters .
A disappointing night key players out need too purchase 3/4 players in the window i feel still would of taken this position if we were offered it at the start of the season roll on too the next one coyb
Just be thankful, Leic gifted you a goal !
As an Ipswich supporter, anyone booing is a joke. Of course it was frustrating not to win, and had Freddie scored in the 9th minute, we would have won.
However, had the QPR header gone in, we would have lost.
With the amount of changes which were necessary to make, we just had too much to do, and I am frustrated about that, but the players on the pitch yesterday cannot be faulted.
2023 has been a brilliant year for us, and anyone not really delighted with what we have achieved, needs to give their head a wobble
Wise words from Romondo at the end (who looks like love child of George Michaels and Shaun Williamson). nil-nil tho...not great. Will we find new steam for 2024? Hope so . HNY xox
What’s happened to Christian Walton? Why is he not playing in goal? I know vatslav zlati is doing well, but Christian needs time in goal
I think Ipswich have surpassed all expectations this season. I’d like to see them go up but can’t see it somehow.
Ipswich were always gonna drop off at some point just like Leeds Southampton etc would kick on at some point still been a class season so far for you lads. Just think you could have beale at the wheel without a striker
Its normally the fairweather fans That only hop on board when the good times are here .
Goes to show you can't take anyone easy in Championship. Preston beats Leeds then Sheffield Wednesday beats Preston the next week. 🤦♂️🤦♂️😅
That's a crazy result qpr are awfull ,but as I've said sometimes with football ,it's 11 fit footballers against opposing 11 and also can depend on ,refs performance it's definitely a big 2 points dropped ,but an amazing season you'd of never believed think youl ,end up play offs and probably not go up ,but surely next summer your owners will go all out ,to make sure you go up automatically season after probably many won't agree ,with me but I'll be rite 😂 as always great presentation Alex ,us blackpool fc with still sht owner are just league one outfit unfortunately, unless saddler goes so make the most of the good times mate ,while it's happening happy new year mate .
We would have won were it not for needing to make 7 changes
@@kevinbailey3384 fair play with that ,no team can lose that many and be the same .
The bookies, still se us as being second favourites to go up, and they are not a charity. Southampton clearly closing in, but if it goes to the wire, last games of season.....Ipswich v Huddersfield.....Leeds v Southampton
it won’t go to the last game
Mickey Mouse club so fits perfectly
Lucky again the post saved u lot like at loftus road and of course the ref decided that handball is no longer a penalty
Ipswich need to be careful here. Southampton aren't going away. I think Ipswich need to sign a striker in January
Most awful game. Needed to win that. Southampton only 3 points off now!
Squad depth tested for the first time this season. Frustrating night .
Or lack of it more like.
They all worked hard but we lack depth.
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 I agree. Definitely need to add some quality in January. And given the ambitions of our owners I am confident we will .
@@darrylhewes2376 but we can't add to the wage bill or spending that much without selling, that's the issue. We can only make a loss of 39m over three years, so need to increase revenue significantly before we can spend money - unless we sell eg broadhead or Davis for £10-15m and buy a player with that money
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 Mark Ashton in a recent interview suggested we have plenty of head room in terms of staying within the FFP regulations and everyone at the club understands the limits. So time will tell I guess. We know we will sell our better players at some point. That's the player trading model the club have adopted in an attempt to give us sustainable success. It's a similar model to what both Brighton and Brentford have done over a longer period of time. I am sure everyone would take what those two clubs have achieved.
@@darrylhewes2376 indeed - but a replacement for hirst is going to cost around £5-10m, which is more than I think MA is talking about.

Even if ipswich drop of in January there fans should not give any stick to the players absolutley not

From a QPR fan, respect to Ipswich but we've played you home and away and you've been average, no idea how you are 2nd. especially when most teams this season have battered us even mid table sides
We had 7 first team out tonight with illness / injury and players who haven't made a start all season. Maybe that will give you some perspective why we were average tonight.
