Definitely meant to include this in my answer about enneagram… The best example of something that COMES FROM a really bad beginning, but POINTS TOWARD something really really good is the cross. The cross was originally a method of execution intended to shame and humiliate the person being killed. That’s what it COMES FROM. But today, the cross is not known as a tool of destruction, but is instead known as the symbol of salvation. Today, the cross POINTS TOWARDS the sacrificial death of Jesus through which all of us have access to grace, forgiveness, and redemption. So, although where enneagram COMES FROM might be questionable, the most important question is what does it POINT TOWARD. Is it pointing you to become more like Jesus? Then great. If its not, then that’s a problem. Hopefully this helps provide some more context to that idea!

It's very refreshing to hear some common sense, positivity and clarity on the Enneagram. I've personality studied the Enneagram for many years and it has greatly benefited me and those I interact with in my life. I've also been a student of the Bible and the Enneagram does not conflict with Christianity in any way.

    Hi I have two questions
    1. How do I become spiritually hungry for God? Is it like a mindset or something?
    2. When I am in a spiritual battle, I tend to isolate myself from people (even tho I am an introvert) I tend not to speak to people about how I feel and what I go through... My question is it okay to just talk to God about it and move on or should I also talk to someone about it? Also, it is hard for me to find someone that I can really trust if that makes sense...
    Okay thanks, bye lol

In Religious Studies at school, I find it hard to not get frustrated when we are taught about Christianity in a way that depicts it as very rules based, and not focusing on the main point- the Gospel, with members of my class sometimes being mocking towards what we believe. I know that they don't fully understand it and I really want to be patient with them and for them to know the truth about Jesus, but do you have any advice on how to lovingly correct them, without seeming pushy?

The best thing we can do is model Jesus through love, patience, kindness, serving others, etc. You are doing great I'm sure! John 13:35 "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

I have 2 friends that really see God and Jesus differently from Christians'. (Like a bit in a negative perspective) How should I react to those without starting an argument?

Hey, me too! Switch has just posted a video a bit about this topic, and I found it really helpful. It's important to continue to show your friends Jesus' love, even if they aren't being nice back.
One of my Christian friends encouraged me to think about the conversation differently, as if I was just finding out what they believe and why they believe it, and not straight away making sure they know all of what I believe. I would say listening is important, and if they have any questions, be happy to answer them in love, so they will feel comfortable having more conversations.
Don't worry if they don't come around to Jesus the first time, it will always be a "pebble in the bucket", a seed waiting to grow, and maybe one day the water will spill over the bucket. You can also continue to pray for them and pray that God would soften their hearts and give you the right words in the right situations to share the Gospel with them.
      I hope that helped :)

Love your videos and watching you guys, but I have to disagree with your opinions on the enneagram. At first, my family and I thought it was helpful and useful until I did some more research on it. Here is a great video where Isaiah goes into further depth about it. I think you guys should really consider checking it out because there is some pretty questionable and sketchy stuff. There is also this website I found that goes through the history of it. If you scroll down on the website to "Occultic Origins of the Enneagram" it also has some shocking information. All I know is as a Christian it has some demonic stuff behind it that I do not want to be involved with. Hope this was helpful!

@@DavidGarcia-kx7we Hey David! Thank you for the comment! I've looked into the origins of enneagram and am aware of the concerns many people have about it. This is why, like any tool, it requires wisdom and discernment to be used well. I think enneagram, even though where it comes from may not be good or true, can be used in a way to point towards what is good and true. This is why I prefer to ask what does this point to rather than where does it come from. I think it is way too easy that anything that comes from a good place is always going to be good, without actually evaluating whether or not its leading to good outcomes. An easy example to point to would be certain interpretations of the Bible throughout history that were used to justify really really harmful practices. The Bible comes from the Spirit of God inspiring human authors to tell the story of Jesus. But certain interpretations of the Bible have been used to justify slavery, racism, and demeaning women. So, if something as good and true as the Bible can be used for bad ends, I think it's also true that something that may come from more debated origins like the enneagram, when used wisely, can point to good ends. But again, it requires wisdom. Would love to hear your thoughts on this! Also, did you read my comment I left earlier on the video about the cross?

    • @DavidGarcia-kx7we

@@jamesmeehan6058 Hi James! Thank you for responding and I did read your first comment but I still have to disagree. If you watched the video I referred to, origin does matter because the devil does not care about intentions. You can watch interviews and find much evidence on the origins of the enneagram personality types, which is through automatic writings. According to the author these automatic writings they were created through the archangel "Metatron", which is mentioned no where in the Bible. You also said you have to look where it points to but the enneagram's goal in life points to finding your true self but biblically our goal in life is to know God. Salvation according to the Bible is through Jesus who frees us from the chains of sin and death but the enneagram says salvation is liberating ourselves from the bondage of ego and personality. The power source of the Bible is the Holy Spirit, the power source of the enneagram is your self. A lot of what I have said is used from the video but in conclusion no of this points towards Jesus or the Bible. As Isaiah mentions in the video, Paul warns us in Corinthians about false teachings and to test everything. All I know is none of this is of God or the Bible. Origin does matter but if its about where its points to, the enneagram points nowhere towards God.

Marcia Montenegro is well studied and has first hand experience with new age and she goes right back to its origins too which is pretty occultic and has no place in a Christians life or the church!! Thanks David for your comment !!
