i've been so worried about applying to OT school because i too, have a lower GPA regarding my sophomore & junior years of college, so this made me feel so much better! thank you for being so transparent!
how did you do? i’m in your same position!
Hi Adanna, thanks for sharing this information. I recently started my channel where I discuss similar tips for acing the GRE along with grad school prep. Found you online when searching for other creators in this field!
do you have the study sheet you used for that month to study?
Does anyone know if the results they show you at the end of the exam are definitive or does this score change when they check the critical writing section?
So the number that they show is definitely accurate however they take time to read and grade you analytical section so that is not accurate until you final scores become available.
322 is amazing 😭😭 I’m just aiming for 300
Me too 😭😭
"Your ceiling is my floor"
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 me too
Me too 😂 300 is enough for me
Did you get 300?
wait so you said 3.5 & 3.3 arent good gpas??😩😩😩😩
Lol so not that they aren't good but I was average in comparison to the other students applying imagine they're coming with 3.7 and above 4 cumulative and 3.5 Cent above for a Sciences so when you're going up against that you have to stand out in other ways
Adanna The PA Awww man I thought I was doing well but now I need to reconsider☹️. Thank you for your response I love your videos soooooo much!!!!💓💓
@@neneeagle you don't give up like that
chioma akagbobi thank you! youre so right! 😊
Hey Adanna, thanks for this info. I just recently graduated with my undergrad degree. I'm taking a year off before applying to PA . I currently am an ER tech. During the year I thought about getting taking general pharmacology, immunology, nuero class, and becoming an EKG certified tech. Do you think that would help getting into PA school?
Just registered for biology... again. My father was my inspiration and you showed me i don't need to be a nurse or doctor. So I am going fill steam ahead.
Good for you! Blessings on your journey.
Mostly, you talked about yourself rather providing any intensive guidance.
I have the same undergrad story with the low gpa!!! Thank you so much for your honesty and help! It empowers me to study and kill the GRE too, congrats!
You got this.
I am finishing my BS this semester (Spring 2021) and going to study for the GRE this summer. I am really getting nervous about the GRE. I didn't know how bad it was just hearing and watching videos. I really need to score a high score on the GRE because my GPA is not going to get me in any PA school.
So I do want to scare you, the test is manageable if you study for it and if you study right. That's the key find study habits that work well for you.
You have studied 8 to 5 for a month??
How did you tie in those hardships, that caused your GPA to lower, into your PA application? Did you address it in your personal statement?
Thanks so much.
To anyone who wants to take the GRE test, if you had a major on a field like engineering, maths etc., the quant section will be easy as f. But if your mother tongue is not English (just like me, I am a Turk) the verbal section will be brutal.
I personally scored 170 on quant and 155 on verbal. I was not even expecting 155 on verbal, I was assuming that I was going to get something like 145 - 150 but I suppose I got lucky and got a 155.
How did you studied for math? I don’t I’ll have a problem with the verbal section
@@Sixteen89 I completed 4-5 practice tests. But I would advise you to study harder if you haven't majored on smtg like engineering, physics or mathematics
oh great now am afraid and about to cry. I failed the Math regents four times and now you got me worried about the GRE. I will be a senior Fall 2020 and graduate May 2021. I need to take the GRE before December 31 and am worried I will fail it. I am taking 4 summer courses now and they end August 4 and Fall semester starts August 29. How can I study now am freaking out. But I enjoyed this video.

Thank you so much for this information! Block studying is an excellent way to not get overwhelmed by one subject.I look forward using all the resources you suggested to survive this test.
Thank you so much! I’m planning to study this summer for the GRE but didn’t want to spend $150 on Magoosh (I got bills 😂). Just went to the library yesterday and they’ll have the Princeton review for me tomorrow. Plus I picked up Kaplan for $20. 💜💜💜
When she used a vocabulary word (3:51) and said 'How am I going to now STEM this?" Fire.
VERY helpful post! Thank you! This helped me figure out what I need to do scheduling wise.
I recently took the GRE and scored a 329 on it. I followed your advice. I received the same Quant Score as you.
For the verbal, I focused on logical structure in addition to vocab.
Do u have some learning materials
THANK YOU! the schools I’d like to apply to CRNA schools, bust most require taking the GRE and it’s been 10 years out of school!!: 🙀 I'm working very hard at this, thank you for the encouragement.
How did it go ?
The intro had me balling #YouAintNevaLian 😂😂😂
That cracked me up too 🤣
I'm sorry did you say your GPA of 3.5 was LOW?? And you studied for 8 hours a DAY? Oh naw I don't think grad school is for me y'all be easy
Can you post your GRE study schedule you used?
Hello. I am very overwhelmed with the whole process for getting into PA school. I am currently in undergad, biology major at Morgan State University but I don't know where to start. I started my process but I am really overwhelmed. Is there anyway I can talk to you or email you.
Do you have any tips on time management cause I feel like I always take too long on some of the questions
I just love how clear cut and concise this video was thank you so much for covering that information so briefly.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! I needed to see this ✊🏽💪🏽 Going to make my flash cards. I have 6 months. 😂
Get it!
Omg! When you said sabbath, I was like, is she SDA?! Me too!
Lol the community is a lot smaller and larger than you'd think
Hello, if you take the GRE twice, can you send it twice? Also do you send the score to CASPA or the specific schools that you are applying for?
So firstly just send the score you want. Put your best foot forward. Secondly you can do both so you can choose to send your scores to particular schools while they're at a testing center and then you can also send your scores through Caspa they're both options.
How much does it cost to register for GRE exam
for flashcards, where do you find vocab words for GRE to study? Thank you in advance! Love you videos btw! xoxo
You can download the app magoosh n their they have flash card ...
Thanks for making this video & congratulations 🎉
Thank you! :)
Sabbath 😄❤️ yay a member of the tribe!
What did you get on the writing portion?
My writing was trash like 3.5. I think I was so tired and my brain was spent
Ok, I got it. Yes because I'm going to get into study mode but I already know I'm not the best writer.
Ymgood for you. You saw my study plan didnt include that much writing so if you want to so great on writing increase the time spent on that section.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! for this information. It means a lot. I am currently preparing to take my GRE test because I'm applying for grad school, OT program, and most of the colleges I chose wants me to have it. I'm stressed because i have my regular classes to study for along with the GRE. I plan on taking it in mid December so i think i have time. Also, for those who haven't registered yet you can apply for the voucher program they to help pay for the GRE. That's if you want to and if you're qualified. When i applied i got 50% off the original price. Huge help!
How do you apply for the program ?
Kala M go onto the ETS website and, in the search bar, type in GRE Fee Reduction program for test-takers. There are different options, but if you're taking the general test, then it should be option 3, in my view.
Saskiea Mcbean thank you so much !!!

New hair.... I like it.
You know I gotta switch it up. 😊
Does PA School mainly focus on your average science GPA or the cumulative?
Both! There are definitely different stages to this but initially they're checking your overall GPA to see if you meet that requirement and then they will move to the science GPA but your science GPA is what holds like the most await I guess you can say however if you're not meeting that initial overall GPA then you're not going to be moved on to the next step
I got a 320 on my gre, is this enough for grad school?
What study materials for someone who is weak in math and hasn’t taken a real math class since high school? Thanks for the video!
deborah shells I used Magoosh to prep for the GRE and got a 318 overall (162/156/4). It’s excellent!
M1st 4eva did you used just magoosh? Or there are different materials?
You explained verry well. Thank you so much.
You’re very welcome
The GRE is indeed difficult test
You’re so amazing!! 😍😍
I need to take my GRE because I just found out the application deadline for next fall is December 1st 😭😭😭😭 I thought it was in February 😭 imma die

Hey, I’m planning to take the GRE this summer. Did you register for the GRE before studying for it?
Hey, I’m also taking the GRR this summer, I just registered for it a few weeks ago for the end of July and I plan on studying for it this month and next month. I would suggest registering first especially if it’s for at home testing because they don’t have many dates available(the first time I went to schedule they only had the 18th and 19th of this month).
Is 290 above or below ave. ?
Below avg

Hi, Adanna, I have a question about doing the verbal part. I know we can use the strategy for solving the verbal reasoning problems. However, I do not have enough numbers of vocabulary. I cannot even understand the problems or the articles. I will take the test next Friday. Do you recommend me remember 3000 words or just practice verbal problem and remember the vocabulary from the problems or do you have any other advice about vocabulary?
I would say that you should do what you think is best. For me understanding the words and their meanings were important because I knew I would be able to decipher the verbal reason aspect of the test. You need to assess where you think you need more help and focus on that.
Adanna, the Naija princess.
Good evening, how long took you to prepare?
One month
@@AdannaThePA I'm having my GRE in two weeks I'm really nervous but you make me believe that hardwork for even a week can change your score somewhat high
Question: Does the GRE books isolate what things in math you have to learn? Math is not my strength. Did you do well In math normally?
Great advice !
Graduating from nursing school and we need to take gre for nurse practitioner school. This is my first time I've ever heard of gre. Thankyou.
There are tons of online NP schools that don’t require the gre
I am 28 years old and currently in the United States Marine Corps I received my bachelors in political science several years back.
I am interested in pursuing a career as a physician assistant. How do I strategically plan my prerequisites including the GRE in order to be excepted into a physician assistant school? Do I prepare for my GRE first or should I take care of my science prerequisites first?
Phenomenal information
lol tell me why I thought you were Regina hall i was like omg wait a minute. that aside thanks for the information!
Thanks..
Thank u. I cann't retain vocabulary. What should i do?
Practice and use it in everyday life. That’s really the best thing that you can do I use a lot of flashcards so I was all about repetition so the more you use it more you see it the easier it is to remember those vocabulary words and then if you use it in every day life are fine like a fun creative ways to use it that will come back to you on the exam
Thank you so much for replying. I am a non native speaker. And i learn about 50 words a day. So how can i use 50 words in my daily activities.
I am trying to follow repitative method. Like revising word after every 4 days.
Thanks so much for making this video as I am preparing to start studying to retake the GRE! 🤗
You're very welcome!
I got a 147 on verbal and 152 on quant and 4 on writing. My GPA is a 3.97. You think I will be able to get into Physical Therapy school?

I have been following your video quite some time now and I really appreciated content in your video. In term of GRE, how exactly did you practice math section. I have GRE official guide and it math questions are quite different than we lean in college math classes. I think they are testing more resining rather than concepts. I am applying for PA school this year and I have applied last year for one PA school which is in my city at Virginia Beach and it dose not require GRE, but I did not get it Beach they were asking casper score. I have score very low consider to other application. So I am applying other schools this year with GRE. I have been out from school almost five years and I am kind of struggling with vocabulary and quant section. Anyway, you have been good inspiration for me and thank you so much for your videos.
Super motivational! Sounds like my story.
Can you help me please, I want to do good on mine? I'm planning on taking it in April so I can start PA school in 2023
Hello, how you planned to use other extra material?

Hi guys! I just took a GRE practice test to see where I stand. My scores are very disappointing which terrified me of the test. I scored 131V 132Q. I am so discouraged and disappointed. I need that good looking score 155V 155Q and I don’t see it possible from where I stand now. My goal is to prepare for 3 to 4 months.
Does anyone have an experience and can share some tips. I indeed need it.
Hi! I think you should check out Greg Mat here on RUclips. He has wonderful videos about GRE that are helpful without making you feel overwhelmed. When do you need to take the test?
